“Seafood Birthday Bash!

Went to this restaurant for my uncles birthday. He doesn’t eat chicken or steak so seafood is his favorite. Caldwell Seafood Market & Cafe was an obvious choice because of the pictures and the fact it was a fresh seafood market just stood out to me. It did not disappoint either! We were a group of 10 people and ordered everything our heart desired and spent $579. We ordered 3 orders of fried calamari which was nice and crispy and they even had a ginger sauce which is different. We tried the hot and spicy shrimp which had a great sauce to dip the complementary bread in. We ordered 5 bowls of New England clam chowder. I felt it was watery and not as seasoned as I am used to but we enjoyed it anyway. They forgot a bowl of soup but we won’t hold it against them. We all ordered entrees and most of us got a dessert! We left full and satisfied!

Knowing my family we love to eat and we are all reviewers at heart and are not afraid to say what we do not like. Everyone loved their food from the appetizers to the dessert and we were surprised at how fast the food came and how fresh it was. The waiter was very attentive as well. We didn’t need a reservation when we came in at 3pm and were the only ones there. Surprising it was not packed for a Saturday afternoon but started to fill up as we left.

Overall this restaurant gets a 5/5 because the experience was great, the waiter was very nice and accommodating, the food was piping hot and everyone was pleased even the kids who aren’t really seafood fans.

“Let me share my experience with this restaurant being it’s my first time eating here. To start off the people are very pleasant and greeted me with a smile and a warm welcome. So there is no issue there ! The food was also decent , very tasty and everything was fresh. Some things that they can improve on is a little less salt ( msg) and they also had cinnamon in the egg roll which was sort of odd. But overall it was a good place to eat.“

“Seafood pimps was the best decision I could had made to celebrate my 56th birthday. I decided to purchase the Nexf ix & Chill. First the presentation was SUPERB. The crabs, mussels and shrimp were FRESH and DELECTABLE. The vegetables were seasoned to perfection. least of them all the amount that you receive is enough to feed a full size family, and we only ordered for two. I will definitely be back. I recommend Seafood Pimps to anyone that enjoy fresh mouth watering seafood.“

“Lunch service was nice. However my brother ordered a Paella and there was hardly any rice in it. Given the fact the waiter insisted it would feed 3 I'm glad he ordered his solo cause it was barely enough for him. I ordered a chicken breast and chorizo lunch special. It was good. Aside from the spicy flavors it was great. The service was fantastic. It's no wonder they've been around for a long time. My brother recommended this place since he's been coming here a long time. “On Saturday May 28th I had a reservation for 15 people because it was my daughter sweet sixteenth birthday dinner. The atmosphere was great, the music was a little too LOUD especially for some young children in my party and we the adults and young people we couldn’t hear each other speaking and my suggestion is to have the music at a moderate tone so we can hear each other at the table and also to make sure the waitress/waiter get the food order correct . The food was a little too salty but everything was ok“

Corn was mushy, shrimp was , potatoes were a little hard, eggs were missing most of the white because I guess they couldn't peel it and one egg was not hard boiled . “I drive all the way from the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania just to get some good fish from Miss Kim. It's always worth it! Miss Kim's fish is consistently delicious, always seasoned to perfection and cooked just right, whether I want it hard or soft. Whether it's Whiting or porkies. It never disappoints!“

“Wow, what a great restaurant ?
This was our first time here and we were blown away with how wonderful EVERYTHING was.
We went here for the wife's birthday and they had set up a special table just for the two of us.
Whoever designed the decor did a great job with the colors, etc. They made one completely forget about the surrounding neighborhood. While it's not a bad area, it's just not really picturesque by any means.
Wonderful fresh rolls and a super pesto spread started the meal. Next I had a mushroom soup to die for and definitely unlike any other I have had before.
For dinner, my wife had the pork chop which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the short ribs with a light brown sauce, mushrooms, spinach and mashed potatoes, which was great, to say the least.
We shared the First "mounds" which was vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate and coconut and should not be missed. Lastly I want to mention that the waiter and the rest of the wait staff were all courteous, accommodating and very professional. We felt that they were among the best we have encountered in our area by far.
We will definitely be dining here again in the coming weeks and I would suggest that anyone living in Bergen county or northern NJ should do the same. EXCELLENT ?

“Great place for dim sum. They have a wide variety of classics (like egg tart, chicken feet, fried pork buns, etc) and non-classics (like clams, shrimp, crab, mango sago, etc). Their prices range from $4.50 for a small dim sum to $12 for “chef” dim sum.

The service is fast. We came during brunch hours on a Sunday and even though there was a lot of people, we were instantly seated. And as soon as we got a table, the dim sum carts swung by right away. The servers can be a bit aggressive in insisting you take certain dishes (by placing them on the table before you’ve agreed to them), but as long as you say no they’ll take them away.

The inside is your typical Chinese dim sum restaurants with round tables and many dim sum carts running around.

The bathroom is clean and large with multiple stalls. It looks relatively new.

We parked in the lot outside and had no trouble finding parking.

There doesn’t seem to be good reception for AT&T here so we had some trouble navigating away after eating here.

“I've passed by this place on multiple occasions and finally decided to try it and it was great. I bought the hot buffalo and teriyaki flavored wings and they were great. The teriyaki was not salty but had that great flavor. The hot wings though could use more heat but have good flavor overall. I'm a heat seeker so I like big hits of spice so try at your own discretion. Overall great local wing spot, which Newark needed. If your too far from buffalo wild wings or wing stop, give panzz a try.“
