“Can I please give it 6 stars? I recently went there with a group of five family members while visiting New Jersey and we had a truly extraordinary night! As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.“

You can BYOB; however, their wine selection is impressive as well. Generous portions, secure parking, and impeccably clean restrooms. The Millburn, NJ, location is equally fantastic! We always start with our favorite Arugula salad - generous portions. House salad, also incredible! We adore Garlic Old Bay Shrimp appetizers, fried calamari, crab cakes, BUTTERY lobster rolls, OMG!. For our entrées, we couldn't resist going all in! Seafood Linguine in Garlic Sauce, steamed clams, mussels, grilled salmon, and lobster tails with crabmeat stuffing (seasonal). If you don't see something on the menu that piques your interest, just ask your server if they can prepare it for you. What impresses me most is Greg's attention to detail, passion, and creativity in delivering exceptional, high-quality food, ensuring each guest feels welcome and appreciated. “We were staying at the Parsippany Hilton where Ruth Chris is located. Service was superb. Our server, Garett, was very attentive. He also had a pleasant personality. We chose to order the Ruth Chris Classic which includes appetizer, entree and dessert. Good choice financially. The only thing that I would do differently the next time is to omit the butter on my food choices. Items were swimming in butter. Too much for me.“

It's always a pleasure to be greeted like old friends by owner Stephane Bocket and seated at what we think is the best table in the tastefully decorated, elegant restaurant. We both chose the prix fixe menu. For starters, my wife had the always terrific moules and I a lovely mixed salad. We both chose beef bourguignons for our main course and asked Stephane to suggest wine from the by-the-glass list. His selections of a chablis for my wife and pinot noir for me worked perfectly with the outstanding bourguignons. We finished by sharing a delicious Baba au Rhum, prepared by Stephane at tableside. Dining at Chez Catherine is always a special event to us. Everything about it is first class. If you are unfamiliar with Chez Catherine, it has been one of New Jersey's Top 5 restaurants for nearly 40 years.
