“I stopped in here on the way to the airport during a delay due to the earthquake. I had the bombas, they were the star of the show !!! But they were not hot, luke warm and cold. The pulpio was ok, somone called it the best thing on menu. I hope that is not the case !! The empanadas were too hot lol they took forever to cool down.“

“It was like dining in a 5 star establishment. I had the surf & turf. The jumbo shrimp.was perfectly cooked and the steak tips unbelievably great. I never had their specialty desert cake. The seafood risotto was packed with fresh clams, mussels, and calamari. The seafood in salsa verdi was excellent. Each type of seafood in the dish was cooked perfectly. The flan is the best I've tasted. The espresso martini is the perfect end to a great meal. You need to try this place.“

Inside is seating for 20, a soda fountain and a small drink fridge with about 10 options. Empanada are $6 but double the size you'll find elsewhere. I got the chicharrones de cerdo bowl. Served piping hot and fresh, the pork wasn't hard but had great flavor and chew. The sauteed red onions were a nice touch on top of a bed of fluffy white rice and iconic black beans. The squeeze of lime over everything married all the flavors together giving it that zesty acidity. $15.98 and well worth it, could only finish half.It took less than 10 minutes to prepare.Parking: Better off in the back or on a side street“

“Great environment. Good service. The inside is nice & they have a cute outdoor space in the back. They provide complimentary bread with tomato spread. The spread is very well flavored, with a tiny bit of a kick. I would guess it’s tomatoes, olive oil, fresh pepper, fresh garlic, & a touch of salt. The ham & cheese croquetas are delicious & creamy. The tortilla española is flavorful & comes with a little bit of greens, but I drizzled the tomato spread over it for a bit more flavor. The crema catalana was delicious. I only wish it came with more strawberries. 100% returning.Vegetarian options: They offer numerous vegetarian options.“

“Located right off McCarter Highway in Newark right by South Street. This Manny's is way different than the others I have visited. A big platter is still $8 and empandas are still $2. I ordered stewed chicken with rice & black beans. Chicken was juicy & falling off the bone, rice was cooked well, not over cooked as were the beans. I ate this food for 3 days as the portion size is huge. I will be back...“

Crispy non greasy moist chicken, tasty huge chicken wraps and the largest fresh shrimp wraps with fresh vegetables that I have ever seen. “Came here for lunch and ordered the birria bowl: rice, black beans, cheese, pico de gallo, and birria meat. The birria meat was great, tasty, tender, and delicious. The combo of salsa verde and sour cream added flavor to the dish. Portion was a bit small... My gf ordered the birria taco and she felt alright with it. The place is small and cozy. However, i had better birria in queens, which biased my taste and judgement on the taste...“

The food is amazing, the sangria is not watered down and the service is exceptional!The most recent visit was to celebrate a group of birthdays. They gave us one of the rooms which fit about 25 of us. Even though we were separated from main dining room, servers were still very attentive. The portions are larger so they are shareable. I had skirt steak that came with veggies and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered. We brought our own cakes and they sliced and served for us. We never felt rushed and stayed for over 3 hours. We got there at 3pm on a Sunday so it wasn't too crowded. I will continue coming and highly recommend!“

“Always great food. Staff shows all effort, especially if Spanish is not your strength. The bread is amazing. Calamari were hot and fresh, and the sauce is better than at most restaurants. Vegetables are cooked well. Shish kebabs of shrimp, pork, chorizo and steak is big and tasty. The sangria is very good, red or white.“

“As a patron of the Tenafly location, I wanted to try the Montclair locale. Parking isn't great around there but we managed. The cocktails were good. There was a grilled octopus plate served with a salad as an appetizer and it was delicious! Most of the entrees were seasoned okay but nothing stood out. One of our 5 dishes came out wrong but corrected within 5 minutes. The original dish was meant for another table and we got the correct plate quickly. Noise level was normal for a Friday night. Very nice ambiance - decor wise. Would return.“
