“I have not physically been to their store, but have watched their TikToks and live stream.( J did an absolutely stunning job with the cakes she was making today. She did happy birthday cakes, to streamers, to a gory unicorn cake that represented a Halloween theme. She is very fast handed and very detail oriented when it comes to making those cakes come to life! She also went over how she makes roses on cakes as well which as her least favorite part, was my favorite part. It was pretty fascinating and captivating learning more about the art of cakes! We also were able to see her role from cake making, to her customer service abilities. In my opinion she was pretty kickass! She is very spunky and very funny. Mike has cultivated a very positive workplace where they have fun with the job, which is what it should be about. My strongest advise is don’t knock it till you try it for yourself! “We had a great dinner tonight at Happy Vegans. We were greeted warmly and offered a taste of their special dish kofta, which is a delicious mix of spices, tomato and bulgur. I had the happy vegan burger which was huge with three patties made from kofka, lettuce tomatoes and a large serving of fries. We were given mayonnaise and ketchup to dip the fries in. Baklava for dessert. I highly recommend this charming restaurant. Easy street parking.“

Open sitting arrangement outside as well. If all 4 booths are occupied then you have to wait and waiting area has only 1 couple seat, more than 2 persons have to wait outside.“

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

I got the original chicken with rice platters and one chicken mix gyro wrap. Excellent and momma is really hard to please. We’re transplants from NYC and with NYC being at the top of the dining out / take home capital it is tough for many States and counties to compete with the flavor and cooking styles easily found in NYC just around every corner.

OMGRYRO easily hits all the marks with the exception of the Jerk Chicken. Jerk Chicken flavor profile is no bueno in my humble opinion and that is because it doesn’t come close to tasting like jerk seasoning and can’t compare to true jerk style flavor.

Everything else is we ordered and devoured tasted great, high on flavor with decent portion sizes.

Hope they put the Jerk Season flavor to the chicken NYC style.“
