“Heard about this place just about a year ago! Went there one other time last year and fell in love with their ham! Went there today and it's just as good! I had the Ham Classic sandwich! OMG!!! This ham is so tasty! You can get it with Swiss or Cheddar cheese, I chose Swiss. Lettuce, tomato, Mayo and their honey mustard Dijon sauce! This is DA BOMB!!! The honey mustard Dijon compliments it so much! Fresh croissant it's on! Just mouth watering good! Love this place and I'm sure you will too! “Everything was divinely delicious! I highly recommend both the crab and spinach with goat cheese appetizers! The seasoning on the entress was amazing, you can taste every spice! Truly delicious is an understatement! As for dessert, I can't recall what the exact name is but it's a lentil based pudding and omg, pure heaven! The service, the atmosphere, the people, the place, the music, the cleanliness.....I absolutely loved it all! I adore this place! Can't wait to go back, every blessing for the new year guys! This place is top notch, and as a Greek who grew up in the restaurants (and is def a food snob) that's a huge compliment! I wouldn't just say that about any place, you guys sincerely deserve it! “The green drink was the worst thing I ever drank in my life BUT WHY is it that days after my cleanse is done I am still drinking it?! LOL The first day was so hard for me but in hindsight I must have really had a lot going on in my tummy. I thought that the protein shake and the green juice were a punishment. By the the second day I was having a bad day but could tolerate the diet more. Third day I woke up feeling better than I have in years. It's been a couple days after my cleanse and I have actually continued to feel good and keep the weight off! That never happened to me before on other cleanses, I would always gain like 2lbs back over night. Here I am going back for more green juice and even got my husband on it! It's sorcery I tell you, thanks Chef V!!“

“The staff behind the counter and those who prepare the food are excellent at the West Caldwell location. The restaurant is always clean and inviting. The bathrooms are spotless and it welll worth coming in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. So much to choose from and ready to customize your choices to your liking. They are happy to do it.

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. Whether we get take out or dine in, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and flavorful, the music is calming jazz and the booths are so comfortable. “I’ve ordered a few times all great experiences. Today I ordered in store at the kiosk and picked up, got home and although i got two combos (lamb k jerk chicken) upon eating the first few bites I realized both were only jerk chicken. I called however their voicemail isn’t set up. I wish someone could call me back and offer some kind of assistance/ discount 😩

UPDATE: The customer service team reached out to me immediately after my original review, apologized for the mix-up, and offered to make things right by replacing our two combo platters.

I stopped by Saturday night and showed the staff the email. They immediately knew what I was referring to, apologized again for the previous experience, and took care of my order with no hassle or confusion. My food came out quickly, the customer service was great, and the food quality was great as usual!

I really appreciate how quickly they responded to my concerns and that the same level of care carried over when I returned to the restaurant. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds matters. They addressed the issue immediately, made the resolution easy, and followed through on exactly what they promised. Definitely appreciated!“

From the wait staff to the kitchen staff to management, everyone was incredibly friendly, unbelievably accommodating when it came to food allergies (they came out to talk about everything in specific detail to make sure it was safe before it was cooked and served), and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would absolutely recommend trying Marakesh out if you haven't been. They will be more than happy to go over the menu and explain anything you might not recognize or need changed because of restrictions. You can also call ahead so it can be prepped ahead of time for you. I will definitely be back again!!“

“While we have eaten here before and came in expecting to enjoy the North Indian food and the dosa, what stole the show was the Bhindi Polichathu and the Kerala Parotta (off menu but available to order). It was so authentic but also very innovative and very well executed. You have to try the Kerala cuisine here - even if you’re vegetarian. We’ll definitely be back to try more of the Malayali food!“
