“Came here for the first time- we’re Vegans, and sometimes it’s difficult to find an Indian restaurant that has many vegan options. The staff went out of their way to help us find the vegan options on the menu, and when they were out of some ingredients to make certain dishes (it’s Diwali, and so it’s a busy time of year) that featured mushrooms and tofu, they actually custom created a dish so that we could try more of what they have to offer. A great experience, and will definitely be coming back!

“Boy, are we glad we added this special stop to our road trip from the Boston, MA area because they sell gluten-free bagels... and they're delicious...plain or with everything (poppy, sesame, garlic etc.) They even have packaged gluten-free snack items! Whether we get take out or dine in, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and flavorful, the music is calming jazz and the booths are so comfortable. We have many favorite dishes @ we especially love the thickness & taste of the raita. We highly recommend this restaurant, and we also enjoyed it 25 years ago when it was Begum Palace. From the wait staff to the kitchen staff to management, everyone was incredibly friendly, unbelievably accommodating when it came to food allergies (they came out to talk about everything in specific detail to make sure it was safe before it was cooked and served), and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would absolutely recommend trying Marakesh out if you haven't been. They will be more than happy to go over the menu and explain anything you might not recognize or need changed because of restrictions. You can also call ahead so it can be prepped ahead of time for you. I will definitely be back again!!“

“I’ve ordered a few times all great experiences. Today I ordered in store at the kiosk and picked up, got home and although i got two combos (lamb k jerk chicken) upon eating the first few bites I realized both were only jerk chicken. I called however their voicemail isn’t set up. I wish someone could call me back and offer some kind of assistance/ discount 😩

UPDATE: The customer service team reached out to me immediately after my original review, apologized for the mix-up, and offered to make things right by replacing our two combo platters.

I stopped by Saturday night and showed the staff the email. They immediately knew what I was referring to, apologized again for the previous experience, and took care of my order with no hassle or confusion. My food came out quickly, the customer service was great, and the food quality was great as usual!

I really appreciate how quickly they responded to my concerns and that the same level of care carried over when I returned to the restaurant. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds matters. “The food was excellent! We got kimchi mandu, kimchi fried rice, sweet and spicy wings, and seafood tofu soup. The kimchi is made in house and the pickled chayote was amazing. The owner was very nice and it was a great time I highly recommend.“

We chose to order the Ruth Chris Classic which includes appetizer, entree and dessert. Good choice financially. The only thing that I would do differently the next time is to omit the butter on my food choices. Items were swimming in butter. Too much for me.“

“Finally, we stopped in for take-out dinners. Had a lovely chat with owners while waiting. At home,we discovered the best finger licking food. Every morsel was sooooo good. The humus never should be missed for any meal. Chicken thighs and beef are very savory. Dill dip fresh and cooling where the hot dip was unique and very enjoyable. The Mediterranean 'rice' has a savory finish. Everyone was raving how much we enjoyed our meal. The plan is to let relatives experience a sitdown dinner in the dining room which has a lovely atmosphere. Everthing is very clean and neatly arranged. We are making this jem a regular dinner option. Lamb is my next dinner experience.“
