“I got the fire cheese chicken here for lunch, and the service was excellent and the food was delicious. The cheese chicken was saucy and went well with the rice; it wasn't spicy but was still very flavorful. The side dishes were very tasty as well.“
“First time to this H-Mart. I came here for the food. Unfortunately, many of the food stalls were closed when we got there an hour before the store closed - there were only 2 of the 8 that were still open, but it was a Monday. And the other two closed about 45 minutes before the store closed - luckily, we got our food beforehand. To get to these food stalls, we had to walk all the way to the registers and through it, so we couldn't take any unpaid merchandise there. In the same area is the Paris Baguette - the cakes behind the glass counter were delicious ? and expensive ?. I didn't try their bread or other baked goods, so I cannot comment on those items. There were plenty of parking in the plaza lot. As we went there at night, I would say that the parking lot was suitably lit, but I would still suggest to park near a light pole.“

“Not many Korean places in Philadelphia alone and the bulgogi tasted beautifully. The perfect traditional marination.“

“Delicious food, friendly service, quick turnaround time, and very fair prices.
The dine-in setup is very casual — there is table service but you order/pay at the counter & self-serve water. There is a lot of natural light inside, a good view of the sidewalk to people-watch, and the two folks running the restaurant while I was there (possibly the owners) were phenomenally gracious hosts. There is a cold case of to-go snacks and drinks. The rice balls are a must try!
Having tried the chicken galbi lunch box and the squid dolsot, I can enthusiastically recommend both, but the dolsot was truly the star of the show in my opinion. The combination of buttery squid, jammy egg, umami & spicy sauce, veggie mix, and that crispy caramelized rice at the bottom is just absolutely magical.
This is an absolute gem of a restaurant.“

“For me, Mr. Pig is now my go to Korean restaurant in my neighborhood. The space is big and well-ventilated - love watching the K-pop videos while enjoying. Staff is welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The menu is comprehensive, if you don't want to do BBQ, and you can pop in to just have a bowl of raemyung (cold noodles), so don't be intimidated. I just tried the Combo Beef BBQ for dinner, it was very good and plentiful. The namul (side dishes) are simple yet delicious - I personally love having the potato salad, my favorite. Everything was so yummy, I forgot to take photos. Next time.“

“This is my new favorite Korean bbq spot. The food is on the pricier end but it was so worth it. They use charcoal grill so the meats have a smoky flavor and it’s delicious. Food also comes with a bunch of side dishes that pairs so well with the meat. Service is also great, they will cook for you if you ask. Highly recommend this spot, can’t wait to go back!“

“The food (bulgogi birria tacos with salsa Verde and a side of churros) was fresh, well portioned, incredible tasting, perfect in texture, and drippy in the right way. The churros have a caramel sauce I can't wait to try but I downed all 3 tacos. Thank you!!“

“Stopped in for some lunch with my son after some golf, and it did not disappoint! Junior got the secret sauce rice bowl, and I got some wings for me and the family. The customer service was great and after a short we were able to enjoy our lunch! Great food all the way around, will be returning!“

“I have eaten hundreds of jjambong in restaurants all across the United States. I cannot believe the best jjambong I have ever eaten is in a tiny H mart food stall. You can taste the ‘wok hey’ smoky flavor in every bite. Both the soup base and noodles rival that of classic Chinese restaurants in Korea. The quantity of seafood is acceptable for the price. Their jjajang is also very good.
I would recommend the tofu jjambong and jjajang rice that comes with egg omelet.
As someone who is moving to a different city soon, this place will be sorely missed.
Food: 5++
Service and atmosphere: Typical for a H Mart food court. Avoid peak hours for a better experience.“

“Sweet people. Suggested the gimbap, a sweet grab-and-go intro to their menu. I’ll come back. Vegan gimbap possible as well as regular w/fish and egg.
Parking: This is inside H Mart to right after registers and behind Paris Baguette“

“I stopped by this place on a walk through the city. It’s kind of a hole in the wall. The Korean Fried chicken was great. I got the popcorn chicken version. I know that it’s not a healthy choice of places and I have to limit any future visits. The people working at the time were nice . The food is packed in a drawstring fabric style bag. Fancy that!
Vegetarian options: They offer a Korean Fred Tofu but if you are a strict vegetarian you may want to inquire if it is fried in the same oil as the chicken.“

“I've only ever gotten take out here, but the ramen is always so good. I think the best I have had in the city so far. They package to go orders very well, which is great. The sushi boats are also very very good. I highly recommend if you're looking for a good ramen spot in the city.“

“This is my first time living in the US since I was born haha.
As a black bean paste fan, I ordered jjamppong at Yonghwaru, which I visited in Philadelphia, USA because I was missing the taste of Korea.
I actually ate everything except the soup.
Was Jjamppong this delicious? I didn't find it particularly attractive in Korea. Maybe it's because it's in America?
Anyway, friendly and delicious!
It’s worth coming here on purpose~~~
I really enjoyed the meal.“

“Go Hyang San Chun is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Korean food! The dishes are packed with traditional flavors, and the banchan (side dishes) are out of this world—there's such a great variety, and each one is so fresh and delicious. The service is also top-notch; the staff is warm and welcoming. The owner is absolutely wonderful—she always makes you feel like part of the family and truly cares about every customer’s experience. If you're looking for a genuine and heartwarming Korean dining experience, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!“

“Recently tried a well known Korean Fried Chicken. This chicken really stands out with its crispiness and bold flavors. I tried the sweet and spicy level 2. Just delicious, striking a great balance the heat and sweetness. Chicken was juicy and fresh, not overly greasy like some other places. They offered pickled radish which was a nice touch. Overall, Pelicana is a solid choice if you're craving crispy and flavorful Korean fried chicken. Will visit again.“

“I bought takeout here when I was living at the nearby Motto/Hilton. Probably the best takeout Korean food I’ve had. The folks who work here were also super friendly. They explained all the differences between the different dishes (bento vs rice plate vs cup bap) and gave me their recommendation as well. Highly recommend, and thanks to the staff for the service.“

“I like their poke, it's my usual, and I would like to try their other items eventually. Their bulgogi is not my favorite as I find it blander and drier than what I like. I find that their website is not easy to use and their customer service is not great. They seem to argue or get easily frustrated. I like to get their lunch deal but it hasn't worked multiple times and they don't seem to like to honor the deal when I can't get it to work - they begrudgingly do. I'm not sure if the issue is because I have an iphone and use safari.
While waiting for my food today- I saw 3 other set of customers come in. The first came to pick up food and it sounded like one of the shop owners(?) (the woman) was rude to someone picking up telling them that they should come on time - they they've been waiting 15 minutes. The next person asked if they could drink their boba inside (they had other food with them) and they said no because there is no outside food. I understand the rule, but it seems odd to me when I've never seen the place anywhere near full. This is just my opinion, but I think having people visible in the place would be good for business. I don't think I've ever seen more than 4 people inside. I'd like them to stay in business and remain in the neighborhood but I'm uneasy about how it's not really a pleasant place to wait for my food in. I wish they would be more open and prioritize more positive experiences.“

“Casual korean fried chicken spot! Saw this on my way home and was craving soy garlic wings so I stopped in.
I got the 10 piece soy garlic wings and it came out to $16 with tax. Service was friendly and quick. The wings themselves are small but the sauce was delicious. I did feel like they could have been a bit crispier - I prefer Cafe Soho or Bonchon just a bit more.“

“Discovered this place from a fellow foodie!
If you come when they first open everything is still very very fresh and super soft and chewy.
Never had any issues with them.
The Ggul-tteok & yakbap is literally my favorite!“
“If you know what to expect from a Korean dog on a stick, you'll be happy.
I ordered the "potato & sausage." It's a great value: inexpensive, but very filling.
Basically, it's a hotdog, coated in pancake batter, covered in diced potatoes, dusted with sugar, and squirted with ketchup. The whole game is about a marriage of sweet and savory...plus, juxtaposed textures.
The hotdog is salty and smokey, with a juicy and buoyant bite--the hot dog "snap." The batter is chewy and cakey. The potatoes are crisp and creamy. The sugar is sweet. The ketchup brings a burst of vinegary acid that balances the whole thing out.
It's a very particular flavor experience. I'm sure lots of people will think it's gross. If you're one of them, don't order it. If you like this kind of thing, you'll be grateful that there's a truck on campus that serves it.
One caveat: the wait is longer than it should be. So, even if it's not busy/crowded, expect it to take longer than you'd like.“

“I came in person July 5th and only bought a few Inari which were very good. Today July 9th I ordered through Doordash and bought Mari Rolls and Miso Bacon Creamy Udon. OMG!!! I can not BELIEVE that udon is not the best seller. It was DELICIOUS!! It reminds me of an Alfredo but better...WOW!! The Mari rolls were very good as well. HIGHLY recommend this place, it's amazing!!“
“I got the tofu curry rice. It came with a lil bit of cucumber kimchi, white rice, steamed tofu, and vegetable curry. It cost $10 and took ~15 minutes. As for the dish itself, the cucumber kimchi was amazing and the portion of the meal was big, I had leftovers. The curry was sweet, not at all savory, and it had the texture of a loosely gleatinzed stock. It might sound bad, but the texture isn't bad when you eat it with rice. Doesnt feel like curry though. The menu seems pretty affordable and expansive. Unfortunately they only accept cash but I would definitely go again!“

“Tucked away in the bustling food court of Upper Darby, Mong Shil Tong Tong is a hidden gem that offers an authentic taste of Korea. This cozy eatery serves up a delightful array of Korean dishes that are both traditional and innovative, capturing the essence of Korean cuisine with every bite. From the sizzling sounds of bulgogi on the grill to the comforting warmth of sundubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew), the menu is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Korea. The restaurant’s commitment to quality and flavor is evident in their popular dishes like the cheese ddeokbokki and crispy cutlet, which are praised for their generous portions and homestyle taste. The friendly atmosphere and the personal touch of service make Mong Shil Tong Tong not just a meal, but a cultural experience that leaves diners longing for more. ?️??“

“It was fun trying different kind of brewed beer on tap. You can choose 4 kinds of beer from the menu. I like light beer and enjoyed light lager and pilsner ❤️
Burger was so juicy and so tasteful. Also there's no sports blaring on TV so you can enjoy conversation. Pizza was so good including the dough so I ate all the crust. I'll definitely come back here often?“

“Really nice neighborhood spot with a menu where I want to try everything. Portions are generous at decent prices, especially any of the bento options or the bowls. Some flavors do feel tuned down out of care for first timers — omitting punchy flavors for a more homecooked taste instead, which tbh I think is the better choice with Korean cooking.“
