It seems that nearly everything is prepared to order, and as a result if coming here you should be prepared to possibly wait longer than most restaurants for your food to be ready.
I do wish there was a way for the restaurant to communicate this to avoid problems with new customers who may be expecting quicker service.“

“MAHFY was fantastic for our ~100 person wedding, we had a cocktail hour style reception which provided an array of heavy hors d'oeuvres, along with a grazing station and fruits! The team was very professional and ensured that every guest was fed including my husband and I. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for catering services within the Tri-state area!“

They found clever ways to incorporate the clients brand into the catering with specialty cocktails, custom desserts, branded ice cubes – so many fun ideas to reinforce the brands presence. “This spot used to be a diner and Superiority Burger totally carries the legacy forward with the paper daily specials and slices of pearl pie in the refrigerated case.
That said, the menu here is unlike any restaurant anywhere. Honestly we didn’t even really know what we were ordering but the side of cabbage, fries, yuba sandwich and panelle were mind-blowing. Super wild flavors. Service was phenomenal.

“We used Certé last minute to cater a professional luncheon for a group of about 25, and the compliments from our guests were nonstop. We ordered a sandwich luncheon with vegetarian options and an assortment of drinks. It could not have been more lovely.

“Check out my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more footage of our experience. Bodai in Midtown Manhattan offers a rare and memorable dining experience. The restaurant blends Buddhist philosophy with royal vegetarian cuisine inspired by the Qing Palace. It was my first time trying a full vegetarian tasting menu, and I was impressed by how flavorful and creative every dish was. The mushroom dishes stood out the most, especially the Stichotas japonicus with cucumber sauce, the pan-seared boletus with green millet, and the Nepal mushroom quinoa with pepper sauce. Each course felt balanced and intentional—low oil, low sugar, and focused on natural taste. Even traditional dishes like Buddha Jumps Over the Wall and zhajiang noodles were reimagined beautifully. The dessert, called “Nectar of the Core,” was light and refreshing. Dining at Bodai feels like a calm, thoughtful journey through color, texture, and flavor. If you’re looking for an elevated vegetarian meal in NYC, this is worth a visit.“

He's easily the single most professional, efficient and all around best caterer/chef I've ever com across. From planning an intimate 20 person get together to a 4 hour, 150 person rooftop carnival, Chris can take a 30 second conversation and turn it into something beyond your wildest dreams. The man is an absolute legend and the only caterer in NYC you need to consider using. He's sharp as a tack and has a staff unlike any other ready and will to help in any and every way necessary.“

“On January 22, 2023 my husband and I threw an engagement party / surprise wedding at Versailles Palace. Nadia helped us plan an event that was unforgettable in one month. She was attentive and detail-oriented. Anytime I texted her or called, she responded quickly. My guests absolutely loved the event, the food and the service. She was able to help us with valet services, open bar services and any request we had. We had the most incredible time celebrating our special day with Nadia at Versailles Palace. I want to also shoutout her staff who was helping me change into my different outfits throughout the night. Marina was the most delightful person and helped me change, brought me food and water (when I forgot to eat and drink) and always asked if I needed anything. I couldn’t have asked for a better night. “This review is long overdue. However, we are glad we waited because seven (7) months later, we are STILL getting rave reviews from our friends and families about the food at our wedding! We had a VERY difficult venue that required all of our vendors to submit referrals and agree to a multitude of specific rules. Our original caterer cancelled two (2) months out from our wedding date (after a year of planning). We did not know what to do! They had already been approved and accepted by our venue. We were devastated! KRISP quickly reviewed the menu / pricing we had negotiated and budgeted with that caterer. They were SO reassuring, and offered us MORE options for a lower cost. We could not believe it! After experiencing an incredible tasting at their gorgeous venue, we were SOLD! THE FOOD IS UNREAL, seriously! When we were low on alcohol, they ran to the store to ensure that our guests would not notice any lapse! They even secured and stored our cake topper for months after our wedding! Despite coming on board with less than 2 months to prepare, KRISP navigated a VERY difficult venue, provided incredible service and kept all the stress out of our site! If you don't scoop them up while you can, your event will not be as good as it could have been.“

“Ive had 2/3 of the breakfast burritos, very filling, and they are great on the go. The coffee was ok, willing to try again but the main event is most definitely the food. I’m quickly finding it to be my weekly go to. Hopefully with a little more notability, maybe so community engagement, and increased foot traffic in the warmer months, they will be able to hold down the lot. It’s a perfect location, glad to have this place in the neighborhood.“

“I tried the jerk chicken tacos (2 for $16) at Smorgasburg WTC yesterday. So good! The chicken has a great kick and is so tender. Loved the black beans and plantain in it too--what a clever fusion dish. At first I thought it was a little pricey for two tacos, but the portions are big and it was quite filling. I'd love to try more of the menu here!“
