I called ahead for pick up and my order was ready in less than 10 minutes, and piping hot. I ordered a sausage and cheese on a toasted everything wheat bagel, which hit the spot.l. Some places will only give you one sausage patty even when you don't order it with egg but this one came with two. The bagel itself was pretty good and they have more options than most places. It's a pretty heavy/greasy brekkie but you get a bang for your buck here, and it's nice for a once in a while treat.“

To me that was probably the only drawback. But it was a very laid back casual atmosphere which a lot of people may find appealing.“

“I’m coming here for its handmade tofu but honestly that was the most disappointing dish we ordered. The tofu was very dense and firm, can’t really tell the difference between the three flavors. The other dishes are surprisingly good, especially love the bossam!“

We did a "themed menu" and the chicken, fish, and vegetables were all delicious. So often the vegetable dishes and sides are afterthoughts but the beans and potatoes were scrumptious and perfectly cooked. I appreciated that they brought cards that identified the food items and indicated if the food was vegan, gluten free, etc. (most caterers haven't done that in my experience). The staff who dropped off the food were prompt and friendly. And Kelly, rep from the catering team who assisted me with the order, was helpful and responsive. All around I had an exceptional experience with Food Trends.“

From my initial contact right through til the end of the party, I knew this was the caterer for us. Jeffrey and his assistant were extremely professional. I loved his “if you want it, we can make it happen” approach. We had a wonderful selection of light bites that were all outstanding. They were prepared and served (and cleaned up!) right at home, making it a very intimate and fun evening. We were so impressed that we have already booked him for our holiday party in December. “Walked in randomly on a Friday and got the toro special. It was a decent price for toro and it was well presented + quickly served. It wasn't too flavorful since the rice wasn't that seasoned. I relied heavily on the soy sauce and wasabi instead and it was a decent experience. It was a lot smaller than it looks though. I don't generally eat much as I'm a small person but I was easily able to finish the roll + handroll and still wanted more food. Overall I would go back and try other things there. Also saw another reviewer mention that they had soup with the lunch special but I didn't get any soup and it doesn't seem to mention soup being included on the lunch special menu. Just FYI“

The venue alone is absolutely gorgeous. The overall opinions from my guests about the food was tasty and excellent. The wedding Coordinator- Vincent was superb. He was always very responsive and so accommodating. My bridal assistant was always around and the best help. Selection of food and liquor options, our liquor luge was a huge hit. I told them to not run out of jameson and they understood the assignment! They made sure we didn’t run out. I was extremely happy. My family and friends had such a great experience and they were so in love with our venue. I would give this place a 10 out of 10.“

“According to my friend who lives here, Greek is the way to go when you're in astoria. So we ordered some gyros and other delicious bites from Frankys and I was not disappointed. I got the beef suvlaki plate and omg the meat was so flavorful and freshly grilled you could still taste the smoke from the fire. The white sauce was great and veggies were fresh. I'd definitely make this spot a regular stop if I lived here“

We were ready on time and so was he. Everything he cooked in our kitchen was delicious, we enjoyed every dish!Chef David was friendly, approachable accommodating. He brought his own dishes to serve us with which was great. He washed everything he used, he cleaned the kitchen stove and the kitchen counters. Homemade pesto mayo, thick fresh whole wheat bread, veggies galore with fresh slices of tomato, mushroom, peppers, cucumber, zuchini...and a pickle. Plus chunky cantalope and pineapple on the side. Then Rolando surprised us with delicious cannoli on the house in honor of us becoming grandparents, which was very thoughtful! I’m Italian so my standards are high, and our meals tasted like being back in my grandma’s kitchen! We went back for lunch the next day in the front room. We enjoyed yummy pizza and caprese salad, along with another warm welcome from Rolando. We look forward to returning next time we’re in town!“

It was hearty and hot along with the matzah balls and noodles!For all three meals (Friday night, Shabbas lunch and Shalesh Suedes) the courses were plated nicely.We have a number of family members that required strict gluten free options which was met absolutely beyond expectations!
