“I loveeeeeeee Hornitos. I came with a group of 7. They have all the colombian bakery sweets. The place was remodeled and looks amazing. The waiters are super friendly. Bathrooms are clean. The food is amazing. We ordered a variety of things like: coffee, the breakfast sandwich (omelette, ham, cheese and bacon) with fries, patacon mixto (chicken, beef, lettuce, fries over tostones or fried plantains), chicken soup, empanadas and pan de bono. They have my favorite: freshly squeezed orange juice.“

“We went on a Friday night. It was quiet. Seemed like mostly family dining. Definitely feels like a nice family owned, neighborhood restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the garlic shrimp appetizer and for our entrees we had the churrasco and fried pork chop. The chimichurri sauce that came with the steak was so good I could probably drink it! I thought the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. Will definitely be back!“

“The $12 daily lunch special is a fantastic deal! According to my waiter they are under new management as of last week. I was in town, visiting from Morris County to see the nearby Labor Museum. I loved the rice, chicken, and plantain most, they were delicious. Please be cautious however because there is a 15% tip automatically applied, and they do offer a lot of extras like drinks and stuff to see if you're interested. Nevertheless I really enjoyed the place. I think would make a good first date type restaurant, or out with the family, and I felt comforrable eating alone at the bar. Although it was empty when I came on a Saturday afternoon.

Chicken and pork tacos with arroz con gandules and fries.Also had some chicken tacos they were good , husband wasn't feeling the sauce that was on top . But overall taste, portion and price was really great . Its not as fast as the other spots but was worth the little extra time. Will definitely stop by again.“

“Las Casa it’s a small little restaurant that seat about 16 people inside. It did have a few outside seating. It was cozy not over noisy so we were able to have a conversation. We had the Tuesday Lunch special - oxtail and two sides yellow rice and sweet plantains. My friend had the oxtail with white rice and Yuca fries. The food was very good. Portion was decent. I would consider coming back again. Price was also decent. Thank you for a good meal.“

Restaurant was very clean, and the atmosphere was reminiscent of a typical latin restaurant but feels to be more of a lunch/take out spot. Menu has your basic hot and cold sandwiches if you are not looking for something authentic. The rest of the menu has latin dishes and daily specials that are broken up into their combos small medium and family size. The portions are quite large . I ordered the pernil / salad/ and arroz con gandules ... flavor was spot on...two to three people could have honestly split the combo ... overall I would go back to try other dishes but would be sure to split the combo ...“

My husband was craving mofongo and fried fish. We tried the mofongo de chicharrón, which was absolutely amazing, and the mofongo de camarones, which we felt was a bit less flavorful.

My husband mentioned that the shrimp wasn’t mashed into the mofongo, which was a bit different from what he’s used to.

Personally, I love my mofongo with mashed pork and the protein on top, and I thought the mofongo tasted fantastic. The fried fish was also a highlight—well-cleaned, perfectly seasoned, and delicious.
