“I've come here a dozen times, at least, and always get the pernil. I have no need to try anything else. The flavor, spices and rice/beans are always on point. I've turned a coworker onto the food and now we try and go once a week. Others have mentioned the service being subpar or rude, but the ladies have always been nice and helpful. The more you come by and see them, the better. There is takeout and a handful of tables to dine-in. Sorry this review doesn't touch on the other food items but you won't be disappointed going with the pernil!“

“Kudos to the person who took my order. She’s curtious and thorough when taking my order, explaining what she was doing, rephrasing my statements to make them understandable, going over my order and receiving my payment, I was given a receipt and told when I was going to get my order food. The place is very clean and neat, decorated with Puertorican motifs which provokes a pleasant and nostalgic feeling.“

“I went to Tozton today to celebrate my birthday after seeing an ad on Tiktok and it was definitely a great decision.
The food was delicious, the sautéed loin, the green noodles, the pavilion, the ground beef cakes and the shredded meat cakes. Natural juices, drinks like margaritas and mojitos; on point, ten out of ten.
The attention of all the waitresses was excellent, they even decorated my table with balloons. Thank you Emily and Natalia for your impeccable service.
It was also easy to find parking near the restaurant. It is very spacious and tables can be organized for large birthday celebrations.
Totally recommended in Astoria.“

“After surfing through a few results that had mixed reviews, I landed on this spot in Williamsburg. Solid amount of stars and reviews (you can also tell a lot about a place that has a nice website, duh) intrigued me so I clicked through. Sorted through the photos of the food and they definitely had the steak I was looking for but I needed to confirm a few other things - do they require reservations? When are they serving dinner? Is this place a hole-in-the-wall (I don't mind holes-in-the-wall, just wasn't what I was looking that afternoon)? I double check their Yelp page and the site and I was glad to see that no reservations are required and dinner was starting at 5 - cocktails and empanadas were available until 5 came around. They have a nice dining room/bar area with a nice little dining area in the back, and also outdoors in the front. I wanted to be inside that day considering the high temps due to the humidity.
I finally get to the spot, and I say finally because I had to go back to 14th St Manhattan and connect from there to get to Williamsburg, 23 mins before they start to serve dinner. When I walked in I felt a very intimate yet lively latin vibe - it was dimly lit and there was good music being played at a comfortable volume. I don't like it when I'm dining out and the server and I have to compete over the music to hear each other so these guys definitely had it right. I would definitely bring a date here. I was greeted by the bartender and let him know I wanted to grab a solo seat for dinner. He asked if I had a reservation, which I thought was a little odd and led me to believe Yelp and the website wasn't up-to-date but when I replied no, he said it was no issue. He told me to grab a seat anywhere I liked so I sat at the bar and he advised me that they won't start serving dinner until 5 o'clock as I mentioned previously. After I got myself situated, I excused myself to the bathroom to wash up. I took note of the back dining area which was really nice. The bathroom was clean and it looks like they take care of it on the regular so those are more points in my book. I got back to my seat and the bartender pours me a glass of water and leaves a bottle at the table. I should've asked if they had sparkling and opted for that. The tap-water is just way too warm, but it was what it was. I didn't opt for any other drinks, considering I don't drink sodas or alcohol. Bartender handed me a menu which confused me for a bit because it seemed like it was drink menu - it was smaller than size than a normal menu. I'm browsing through and noticed at the bottom of the menu, besides their wifi network and password, they only take cash and American Express. Odd but maybe that's a NY restaurant thing? I double-checked that with the bartender and he said they have an ATM in the back in case I needed it. Turns out I had enough cash on hand and continue looking over the menu. I get to the entrees and I find the Churrasco and I let the bartender I wanted that medium. I should've asked him if they could throw an over-easy egg on top.
About 15-20 minutes later, one of the BEST steaks I ever had was served. The presentation was amazing! The steak was cooked to perfection - nice and tender and the color was just right. It came with a side of chimichurri which unlike other ones I've had, wasn't too salty. As you can see in the photo I took, the steak also came with a side of greens and these potatoes that were like no other, crispy on the outside and perfectly baked on the inside.
All-in-all I would definitely come back to Tabaré and I'm willing to bet everything else on their menu is just as out-of-this-world as this steak!“

“My best friend and I originally went to one place but did not enjoy the vibes there so she found this place. Food was really good (a little too salty but still good). The drinks though..... Good and strong. The bartender was also our waitress and really sweet. Nice chill vibe before 10-10:30pm where it turns into a mini club.“

“Excelente sazón y CONSISTENCIA en la misma quizás uno de los mejores restaurantes de comida ecuatoriana en los últimos 3 años en la ciudad de New York . Lugar muy limpio, espacioso , baños impecables, amplio estacionamiento y el sabor de la comida es realmente auténtico , lo único q podría mejorar es la atención un poco caótica y desorganizada pero en general todos los meseros son amables, vayan por ahí no se arrepentirán!“

“It a small spot. Good for only 15 people at most. You're better off getting takeout or ordering delivery. High attitude atmosphere. They don't always get the order right with delivery but that can be any place. The food is very good.“

“Dining at FITO from the booking on was a pleasure. Felix, the manager, showed true ownership when the online reservation system kept freezing. The next day I added two people too my reservation in the notes and Felix quickly sent me a confirmation. This sense of care was clearly seen by all his staff as well. When I arrived, I added another two people on and the host quickly moved tables and umbrellas around to accommodate my request. He worked with on the best way to do billing for a large party gave attentive service all while seating people and acting as the host. Felix personally made and delivered our drinks. All the food and drinks were delicious. They truly existed to make my night easier, which is huge when organizing and hosting a large group. There aren't many places in the area that make you feel like you belong and you matter and Fito does that and more!“

“This was my second visit and the place is tastefully decorated and my server was great. Overall, the food was prepared well but it would have tasted better with the addition of salt. Even though tonight's dinner didn't meet my full expectations, the restaurant is worth a visit.“

“Pork rind lovers, get ready for an explosion of flavor! Krunchy Cueritos is my new gastronomic sanctuary in the city. Each bite of their chicharrones is a direct trip to Dominican paradise. The perfect combination of crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside, simply irresistible! If you are looking for a quick and delicious culinary experience, this is the right place. The only thing I would like is for them to improve customer service a bit ✌️“

“I had lunch there a couple of weeks ago. The food is really very tasty and has a typically Paraguayan flavor. I don't know how they do it but they do it. I returned the next day to bring some typical and gluten-free products, as well as empanadas. 10 out of 10. It is easily accessible, as it is halfway between Manhattan and Flushing on subway line 7, at the 46th Street-Bliss stop, and from there no more than 300 meters along Greenpoint Av.
The place is cozy and well decorated, and the service is excellent. The icing on the cake is that they now offer very good craft beer from their own brand.
Dietary restrictions: Has gluten free options“

“Came here with friends. There was a very refreshing seafood appetizer, the sauce was perfect. We used that for the lamb sliders. Shrimp with spicy sauce also excellent
The steak and fries were cooked well (medium rare) but pretty standard. Had another fish dish with avocado sauce that was excellent. Lasagna was a bit hardier.
Coconut cake and churros were both great“

“A Delightful Evening at María Mulata
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at María Mulata, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Ashley, whose exceptional service made us feel right at home. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly set the tone for the evening.
We started with a bottle of wine, pleasantly surprised to find it cost less than what was listed on the menu—a delightful bonus! The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the rice, which was out of this world. Each bite was a burst of flavor, perfectly complementing our main dishes.
The ambiance of María Mulata is charming, with a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that captures the essence of Colombia. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment made our dinner truly special. We can’t wait to return and relive this fantastic experience!“

“Asif our server was great! Kind and knowable as well as super accommodating to my food allergy. The whole staff was excellent from the second we arrived. The guac was so fresh and we love that it came with fried plantain chips instead of just regular corn chips. The ceviche is a must! So flavorful and delicious. We had a little hiccup with the drinks but it was rectified right away and with a smile. The chicken was cooked table-side and was very moist but crispy on the outside. My friends also had the fries with sausage and cheese( I don't eat pork so I didn't have it) but they said that it was also amazing. Really a great experience. The place is pricey, but in my opinion so worth it for the quality of the food and the service. Thank you!“

“I had a great experience at Cañave restaurant! My server, Robersy, was fantastic and recommended a few beers I hadn’t tried before, they were all spot on! She really knew her stuff and made the experience even better. The live music gave the place a fun and lively atmosphere, and the lighting made everything feel warm and welcoming. The murals of Frida Kahlo and Cantinflas are stunning and add so much character to the restaurant. It’s a great spot with good drinks, great service, and a vibrant vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back again!“

“A Must-Visit Latin Fusion Experience!
From the moment you walk into Arriba Latin Fusion, you’re greeted with a warm, homely atmosphere that sets the tone for an incredible dining experience. The service is top-notch—kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making you feel like a valued guest.
Now, let’s talk about the food—simply amazing! Each dish bursts with authentic flavors and creative twists. The Truffle Yuca Fries are crispy perfection, with the earthy aroma of truffle taking them to the next level. The Chicharron Picado is a flavor explosion, rich and perfectly seasoned. And those Ropa Vieja Sliders? Absolutely divine, combining tender, savory beef with the perfect soft bun.
The entrées are just as impressive. The Ropa Vieja is tender and packed with flavor, a true homage to this classic dish. The Arroz con Pollo is comforting and full of rich spices, and the Salmon a la Brasa is grilled to perfection—moist, flavorful, and melt-in-your-mouth good.
To top it off, the desserts are a sweet finale. The Flan is silky smooth with a delightful caramel glaze, while the Tres Leches cake is moist, decadent, and absolutely irresistible.
And don’t even get me started on the drinks—they are on point! Perfectly crafted to complement the food, they elevate the entire dining experience.
Arriba Latin Fusion is more than just a meal; it’s a culinary journey. I can't recommend it enough!“

“Great authentic cuisine that brings a little bit of Bolivia to the United States. The saltenas are absolutely amazing. The shell was cooked to perfection while the inside was a treat of flavors that was heavenly. The Silpancho had such great flavor. So authentic with the Carne lightly breaded and seasoned with the flavorful Zarza and a beet, carrot and vegetable salsa that complimented the egg and potato. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to experience a little part of Bolivia here in Queens, New York.“
