“I went here two weeks ago, very good food, I enjoyed my steak a lot, but there are couple things that I will point out, the music definitely must be more loud, you could barely hear anything it created the weird atmosphere since I could hear all what others around me are talking about, second thing they should inform you that the food will take a while go get ready, it definitely was worth it but just the server should be aware to inform us that it will be an hour wait for the food, also you can bring your own bottle of wine which is great!“

I ordered the Colombian breakfast with scrambled eggs, arepa, and fresh cheese, plus a cappuccino that was perfectly made. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The bakery case was full of tempting pastries, the staff was welcoming, and the cozy atmosphere made it easy to relax.“

“One of my favorite restaurants! I’ve been here several times and I always have a great experience. The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and the service is excellent. They have a great variety of food, everything tastes fresh, and the drinks are delicious.

It’s a great spot whether you’re going with a small group or a larger group. They also have a bakery section with different options, which is a nice plus. My personal favorite is the beef cachapa — definitely something I recommend trying!

“Had a great experience at Mesón Criollo in Ridgefield Park. This is the kind of place that really gives you that authentic, home-cooked Dominican food experience. The portions are generous, the food is flavorful, and there’s a great variety of traditional dishes to choose from.

I really liked seeing all the different options, from mofongo and empanadas to sancocho, different rice dishes, meats, seafood, and Dominican breakfast favorites. Everything has that comforting, homemade feel that makes you want to come back and try something different next time.

The owner was also a pleasure to talk to. I really enjoyed our conversation, and you can tell there’s genuine pride in the food and in the restaurant.
