“Went to china gourmet for lunch midweek. Not crowded at all although the large free parking lot was pretty full due to the nearby Asian supermarket. We were seated immediately and the dim sum carts came by very soon after. There seemed to be 3 carts with dim sum and one with soups. Plenty of choices although the language barrier made it something of an adventure. For instance I ordered some buns which I thought the server had said were poppyseed, which I confirmed with her. They turned out to be some sort of onion mixture. They were delicious nonetheless. We also tried the signature salt and pepper squid dish. It was different for other fried calamari we have had and was very good. We tried several varieties of dumplings and they were unremarkable. Service was efficient. The place is very large but lacks atmosphere. Other than the fish tanks and tvs on the wall there wasn’t much decor. For to try the different options from the carts but we could have benefitted greatly from having someone with us that could tell us what the choices really were.“

Sautéed Eggplant with Green Beans 🍆 well flavored. I liked that the eggplants were not falling apart. The skin was soft but not mushy

“We called for delivery and waited an hour and the driver still hadn’t showed. We called them and they said they were very busy and we would have to come pick it up. At first I was angry but then I got there and saw how busy they were. The lady was very nice and gave me 2 dollars back and a free 2 liter of Pepsi and was very apologetic. Food is great but sometimes you just need to be patient when they’re slammed. It’s a small restaurant.“

Every Chinese restaurant i ate at I always find the fried rice to lack flavor or the rice was just either hard or mushy but this place imo was just right. The lo mein was excellent as well. Wish this place was in North Carolina where I live. Ate here 3 times in the week I stayed out here in Philly.“

“I’ve been looking for a local chinese restaurant ever since the one we went to burnt down. After driving a lot further than I prefer I found this hidden gem. My orders are generally simple general tso, sweet and sour chicken, and shrimp and broccoli. But you’d be surprised how different or how bad they can be from place to place.
The portions here were great and the food delicious! Even had chop sticks and free kiwi candies!

Staff was friendly and the food was cooked and ready for pick up in under 20 mins. Plenty of parking in the back.

“Best Chinese food in the whole area. Highly recommend the bourbon chicken, vegetable lomaine, egg rolls, wonton soup, crab ragoons, and sesame chicken. Never tried the other food, but all of those are the best around. Always comes hot and cooked perfectly. Never had any issues here. ❤️❤️❤️❤️“

“Called ahead of time & someone told me the meal I wanted to order was gluten free. Ordered on door dash & they immediately called me to tell me it’s not gluten free and that they will make me my own sauce. They said it also comes with egg rolls that aren’t gluten free and they will put in a free soda to make up for the cost. Not only amazing service, but it was DELICIOUS & came so quick!

“I got the barbecue ribs and the flavor is great, I'm not a big fan of peas in my fried rice but their fried rice is okay. The soup looks really good, and they gave me the crispy wonton noodles. They also let me swap my egg roll for a spring roll which I prefer so that was really nice. The people that work in that shop are super nice and very helpful. I found out that they do actually deliver within a 5 mi radius. I think it'll be easier for me to order delivery next time parking was a bit of a pain.“

“Clean fresh food, plus a clean cook/chef. I asked for my broccoli to be steamed 10-15 minutes soft and they cook my broccoli soft/ perfect, not hard or crunchy and fix my food perfect cooked, they have Good / the best Wings. Food cooked the way I wanted and perfect. No bad attitude. My first impression clean people, good food and It look like they clean their waiting / order room. My New place to go to besides a block up Frankford Ave, young people snooby funny acting like are black kids rubbed off on her at the Chinese store a block away and cook food to their liking/ way they want, I will definitely order here again, thou. “Been coming here for several years now and they never fail to disappoint. My mother had an issue with the food and they were kind regarding the matter (note: food is fine, my mom is just fussy about the container it comes in). Thank you for providing excellent service, food, and understanding and patience.

When eating in, we're served with cutlery and plates. Portions are filling and I always leave feeling fulfilled. Go to is usually two shrimp rolls, egg drop soup, and shrimp lomein/fried rice.“

“Just had such a wonderful dinner at this cozy Sichuan restaurant! We ordered the Wanzhou Grilled Fish and Pork Belly with Garlic Sauce — both were absolutely delicious and really hit the spot. The fish was super fresh, and the side ingredients were so flavorful. I especially loved the potato strips and black fungus — they soaked up all that rich, savory broth and were just amazing.

The pork belly was also fantastic — tender, flavorful, and packed with that bold, garlicky taste I love. You can really tell they use quality ingredients.

What really made the experience special was the lady boss. She was so warm and thoughtful. At first, we wanted the garlic-flavored grilled fish, but sadly it was sold out. She noticed we probably can’t handle too much spice and kindly suggested the savory sauce version instead — and honestly, it was the perfect match for our taste. Felt like she really cared.

Even though the place was quite busy with lots of regulars coming in for dinner, she still managed to take great care of every table. That kind of attentive service is rare and really appreciated.

“My wife and I order from China Express at least once a week. My wife has conversations with the young lady who seems to always be there answering the phone and ringing you up at the register. She is very friendly and the food is great! I'm working late today and actually picking some up tonight. It is just my wife and I, as the kids are out of the house now, and we always order more food than we could eat, but it is so good the next day.

Parking: They do have tables and chairs to dine in but most people like us prefer to take-out as we live right down the road about 10 minutes from there. With people picking up their orders, there is always parking and never a wait for your order.“

“Tucked away in a small shopping center, very easy to overlook, sits a gem of a restaurant. They have multiple cuisines to choose from, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. The footprint of the restaurant is small, but it is so thoughtfully arranged and decorated. I wish I had found this place sooner and will definitely continue to visit.“

“I would like to share a bit of a positive thing that happened. I went to Classic Asia (AKA BEST PLACE EVER) and ordered take-out Shrimp Pho soup. When I got there, the woman (who is already so nice) told me they didn't accept AMEX cards. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash on me. So I said, "okay I'll be right back, I'll go grab cash!" Her reply was " No no, don't worry about it. Next time you order just tell us it's you! I couldn't believe it. I was like HUH?! How is someone being this kind ?!? I told her, she was insanely sweet and that I would be right back with cash payment. She goes "okay but don't rush, go and eat first and just come back whenever!" Don't worry i called as soon as I got home! How amazing are they?? This was super special to me, because I have MS and sometimes have issues walking and standing.
