“Popped over with my 8-year-old that “needed” a hot dog. Adorable historic spot … we were incredibly impressed with the fresh buns and the very very hot spicy chili that did not disappoint. Staff was fantastic and the line was out the door, but they knew exactly how to hustle people through. Understand why this is included on the New Jersey hotdog Trail and people need to go here!!!“

“When my brothers were kids, they would stop to eat at Hiram"s on their way back from Palisade's Amusement Park. My mom would always ask why. My brothers replied, "the food is better at Hiram's! When I worked for Thomas J. Lipton in Englewood Cliffs, my co-workers and I went to Hiram's for lunch often. I plan on going very soon! I so love Hiram's for the food and it's longevity.“

“We took the trip downtown from Times Square where we are staying just for this! And it was so worth the hike! Melting brioche bread, excellent dog, great choice of additions from crispy fried onions, to Texan chilly to corn and cheese. Very ki d and fast service, simple place, great music, all in all completely worth it.“

Holy Schlitz! This is the best pastrami I've ever tasted including Katz's, Carnegie Deli (70s-90s), & Harold's of Raritan (80s-2010s)! If you've not gone, GO!!! I won't steer you wrong. It's tender, juicy, fresh, and has so much flavor! It's the Kobe of Pastrami! Sorry, didn't try the corn beef or knish but maybe next time. I got the $15.95 sandwich plus one Lb of pastrami $26.95. Tax is 6.625%. I paid cash but they do take cc. Just GO!“

“The egg toasts were delectable! Actually so happy my sister and I chose to come by. It has a tiny kick of spice which was a pleasant surprise. My sister got the vanilla flat white coffee and she loved it and finished it so quickly. The only thing I wasn't over the
moon for was the corndog. I got the mozarella hot dog corn dog and it was okay. I wouldn't get it again.

The space is small but offers some seating indoors and outdoors. I will definitely try to come again for the egg toast specifically.“

“Phenomenal from start to finish!! We were lucky to have the place to ourselves for an early dinner. Dani, co-owner & chef, greeted us with a warm welcome. You could tell right away she had a genuine interest in making our experience special. We started out with a creamy, simple burrata that came with homemade focaccia. The bread was SO perfect. We each had salmon with Israeli couscous and broccolini. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the wine suggested by Dani. Then dessert…it was so difficult to pick just one!!! So we got three! Ana, the other owner, is the evil genius behind the to die for desserts!! Tiramisu, mascarpone cheesecake (we took it to go) and an apple cider donut with vanilla ice cream. (The donut was so absolutely divine that my boyfriend ordered a second serving!!) And can I just say the cappuccinos were on point! My mouth is watering just thinking about it all again! I hope others visit and enjoy the fabulous food, service and atmosphere at Mambo. We don’t live around the corner, but will definitely make the drive back because the whole experience was just that good. I wish Dani and Ana much success. Once you enter go right side and you will find the food court. There is a few seatings inside, but due to covid it is better to take the donuts home. Service: I did not have any interaction with the employees. We just order and go. Food: All that we ordered was delicious, we had UBE, MATCHA, YUZU, NUTELLA, COOKIES and CREAM and BLACK SESAME. My favorites are UBE and BLACK SESAME, they have distinct flavors. The dough is soft and gooey, which is what I like for a mochi donut. Price rating: 7/10, it was not that bad for the price. The sweet potato fries were excellent and enough for two people. The chips that come with the burger were also good. My wife had the regular burger with no cheese and an order of regular fries. She really enjoyed it and said it was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, the owner, Mel, greeted us, took our order and chatted with us while our order was being prepared. We were given a little disc that lit up and vibrated when the order was ready to be picked up at the counter. One of the best burgers around! A little pricy, but definitely worth it! “*It was good but overly hyped online/social media. For a fairly new place, in my opinion, the furniture/decor was meh & could use a reboot. I also didn't like that there wasn't a cash pay option. If there was, we weren't offered it. Also, you can't modify their specialty menu. It says so right on the menu itself. Because of this, I passed on an item. They should add ALL of their toppings to their toppers list & let their customers get creative, leading to more special creations for the business. The fried green beans should also be a side on the menu because they are perfect & the best I've had in a long time. I would go back just for those. You guys should add italian style hotdogs to your menu or a pizza dog, maybe both.
