“Used to be my favorite place and ordered river vale at least 2-3x per week but hadn't ordered for a long time until recently i had craving for their ox tail combo and Cuban sandwich. sadly no more ox tail and both puerco asado shredded pork dish and Cuban pork were so bland and dry and burnt with the pressed bread which was like a stale burnt roll with 1 or 2 pickles..thats it. was disappointed the puerco asado dish didn't even come with rice and beans as was used to be included in the past. and no phone number available to call and talk to someone. very sad because used to be one of my favorites and probably will not try again.“

“If you’re looking for an amazing Puerto Rican meal, this is the place to go! The alcapurrias were out of this world! And if you know what good alcapurrias taste like then this is the place to go! The lobster and shrimp mofongo was PHENOMENAL and the spicy crab tostones, Asian fusion, CHEFS KISS! The chipotle mac and cheese was such a delicious start to my meal! Overall, everything was a hit! BEST PUERTO RICAN FOOD I’ve had since I visited Puerto Rico ❤️“

“Mauricio, From the moment we sat down, he was all smiles—happy, upbeat, and full of energy that made our whole table feel welcome. He wasn’t just friendly; he was genuinely fun, cracking jokes, keeping the mood light, and making sure everyone (especially the kids!) felt special.

He knew the menu inside and out and gave amazing recommendations—especially for the appetizers. You could tell he really cared about making sure we enjoyed the best of what the place had to offer.

“I called this morning at 6am to inquire how long it would take them to make 3 dozen empanadas, for a work event, they said ten mi utes! They saved my day. The empanadas were a hit at work! They were delicious! I bought chicken, beef and cheese! They’re affordable too! Gracias! 🙏🏽 I’ll be buying from here again.“

I opted for the Philly cheesesteak and loved it! It wasn't overwhelmingly large or greasy. As for the chicken avocado wrap, they peeled the avocado right there! ? It felt healthy and quite filling.

“We stumbled upon Olar Noso and were very happy we did. The food selection was very diverse, offering a nice mix of Spanish tapas and Italian delicacy. They also offer a better than average wine selection, at reasonable (restaurant) prices. The salmon tartare stole the show, but the Gorgonzola stuffed dates, garlic shrimp, and meatball tapas dishes were amazing supporting roles to an overall great meal. Their homemade potato chips made for great table pickins as well. We'll definitely be back to try some of their meat entrees (someone near us had the skirt steak and that ranks top on the list). Well done Olar Noso (but I'll take my skirt steak medium rare when I return;)“

The filling was delicious and the outside was flaky and light. Delicious empanadas. For our main course my wife had the Cubano and I had the Classic 55 Burger. My wife got sweet potato fries with hers and I got regular seasoned fries. The Cubano was a nice size portion. My wife really enjoyed it And enjoyed the sweet potato fries. The burger I had was absolutely delicious and the french fries were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The price was definitely reasonable for what we ate. And I did not leave hungry. It was just enough. Definitely a place worth stopping at again and having a couple drinks and some nice food. Also, our server was great. Nice to talk to and very attentive.“

Everything here was priced more affordably compared to any of the other Dominican spots on 138th street and in the neighborhood. Big plates. Also, they cater to the blue collar crowd. Lunch food is ready by 9:30AM. Perfect lunch spot if you're a city worker, construction, etc.“

“Dominican breakfast is good, this is the first place I had ice coffee with cinnamon! Haven’t had ice coffee with out it since, the steak sandwich is good also
(If you left a low rating your a weirdo, this is a neighborhood store that sells Dominican food, it’s not a 5 star restaurant) I always come when I’m in the area and I’m black not Dominican but still enjoy the food“
