“Used to be my favorite place and ordered river vale at least 2-3x per week but hadn't ordered for a long time until recently i had craving for their ox tail combo and Cuban sandwich. sadly no more ox tail and both puerco asado shredded pork dish and Cuban pork were so bland and dry and burnt with the pressed bread which was like a stale burnt roll with 1 or 2 pickles..thats it. was disappointed the puerco asado dish didn't even come with rice and beans as was used to be included in the past. and no phone number available to call and talk to someone. very sad because used to be one of my favorites and probably will not try again.“

“If you’re looking for an amazing Puerto Rican meal, this is the place to go! The alcapurrias were out of this world! And if you know what good alcapurrias taste like then this is the place to go! The lobster and shrimp mofongo was PHENOMENAL and the spicy crab tostones, Asian fusion, CHEFS KISS! The chipotle mac and cheese was such a delicious start to my meal! Overall, everything was a hit! BEST PUERTO RICAN FOOD I’ve had since I visited Puerto Rico ❤️“

“Calling this restaurant a "hidden gem" would be a monumental understatement. We ate dinner here on a whim, and it turned out to be the best dinner we had during our trip to NYC. Everything we ate was phenomenal, especially the croquetas. The dining area is chic yet cozy, with mellow music at just the right volume. Finally, our waiter Ibai was easily the friendliest and most efficient server we've met in months; he made an already great meal into a fantastic dining experience. All in all, this place is absolutely top notch and very highly recommended.“

“I’d come back! The food was amazing, came out quickly and it was fresh. I asked for a recommendation and our waitress did not disappoint with her selection. “I called this morning at 6am to inquire how long it would take them to make 3 dozen empanadas, for a work event, they said ten mi utes! They saved my day. The empanadas were a hit at work! They were delicious! I bought chicken, beef and cheese! They’re affordable too! Gracias! 🙏🏽 I’ll be buying from here again.“

I opted for the Philly cheesesteak and loved it! It wasn't overwhelmingly large or greasy. As for the chicken avocado wrap, they peeled the avocado right there! ? It felt healthy and quite filling.

“Had a family birthday celebration in the wine cellar last weekend. The food was amazing, the room is perfect for any type of occasion. The staff were so efficient and accommodating. “I reserved a table for 7 but I didn't let them know about the 2 kids, they were able to change the table to a corner booth so the kids can sit comfortably in such short notice on a busy Saturday. Amazing birthday dinner for my daughter who turned 20. Thanks for making it special.“

“The mangu is so delicious!! And everytime I or my husband call the lady is so nice on the phone !! And their coffee is so strong they brew it fresh per order of cup size just the way i love it !! Oh and in case someone is confused the meal is called tres golpes y los huevos como mediano con cebollas tambien. Yummmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!“

“Dominican breakfast is good, this is the first place I had ice coffee with cinnamon! Haven’t had ice coffee with out it since, the steak sandwich is good also
(If you left a low rating your a weirdo, this is a neighborhood store that sells Dominican food, it’s not a 5 star restaurant) I always come when I’m in the area and I’m black not Dominican but still enjoy the food“

“Fresh food, great prices, big portions.Empanadas anywhere in the BX are $2-$2.50. here they are $1. Everything here was priced more affordably compared to any of the other Dominican spots on 138th street and in the neighborhood. Big plates. Also, they cater to the blue collar crowd. Lunch food is ready by 9:30AM. Perfect lunch spot if you're a city worker, construction, etc.“
