“9/14/25 - NFL Sundays are made for pizza. So we did take out from Mancini's Pizza in East Brunswick, NJ. \n\nWe sat outside while they prepared our order --- one large Sicilian and one large pepperoni. The friendly and helpful staff even tapped on the window to let us know our order was ready. Yes, the restaurant is crowded and does a brisk business which is another good sign.\n\nThe pepperoni is a neopolitan style and a bit on the thinner side. The sauce is absolutely incredible. The cheese is clearly premium. The pie is perfectly prepared and the Italian spices are noticeable with each bite. They use thicker pepperoni slices which I really enjoyed. The big disappointment here is the slices are not very crispy and are very limp. When you pick one up, unfortunately, everything slides right off. It doesn't make it taste bad but its annoying nonetheless. \n\nThe Sicilian slice was by far my favorite. It has that fermented Sicilian crust flavor and when you add their spectacular sauce and premium cheese, it is Sicilian pizza nirvana. The crust is crispy and not dry at all. Great care is taken here paying attention to every detail of this masterpiece. \n\nThe prices here are not friendly for the budget conscious diners. But if you want quality, you have to pay for it.\n\nOverall Rating: A-“

“9/5/25 - It's about time that I did a review on my go to pizza place in East Brunswick, NJ. It's called Michelangelo's Pizza. Through the years, if anyone asked me for a recommendation for pizza, I would ask you what style you preferred. And if your answer was thick neopolitan, I sent you here.\n\nI grew up on Staten Island and my favorite pizza shop was Al's Pizza (RIP) on the corner of Jewett Ave and Victory Blvd. That's the same style I grew up eating. That's what I prefer. But I do enjoy other types as well. Michelangelo's reminds me of Al's very much.\n\nThe pizza at Michelangelo's is thick, hearty and heavy. Tonight, we ordered one plain and one pepperoni. \n\nThe plain is thick and chewy. It has a small crunch to it. The outer crust is thick and chewy with a light crunch as well. It is not dry at all. The cheese tastes premium and there is plenty of it for you cheese lovers. For me, the star here is the sauce. The pie is generously sauced which I absolutely love. You would think a pie this thick would be droopy, but it surprisingly stands up pretty well. And if it does droop a little, the cheese is so abundant that it holds it together and nothing slides off. \n\nThe pepperoni has all the same traits. The difference here is the pepperoni adds a lot of grease which I'm not crazy about. I dont believe it's the pie makers fault as pepperoni gives off a lot of grease when cooked.\n\nI love the staff here. Friendly and competent. I am always greeted by my first name which is appreciated. \n\nThere's been some happenings here recently which led me to believe there were issues with the business. It was closed for 8 days without any indication as to why. The phone was also disconnected. Finally on day 4, I saw a sign on the door in the distance but I was late for a ballgame and didn't have time to stop and read it. \n\nIt's such a good pie that I hope they have resolved the issues permanently whatever they may have been.\n\nOverall Rating: A-“

“The most amazing pizza and Italian dishes you will ever eat! Super fresh and always delicious! The owners are the sweetest and truly make you feel special every time you visit. We’ve been customers since they were located in the Meyers parking lot, however, we’ve moved in the last few years and are unable to get our fix of Bella La Pizzeria greatness since. We travel over 3 hours for the best pizza and meals because the food is that delicious! I’m sitting here in heaven this evening enjoying a slice of their perfect pizza. Yummmm!!!…….“

“12/3/25 - It's been a few since I had a chance to get out and grab some pies but the troops were hungry today so....\n\nI decided to stay somewhat local and headed over to Vinnie's Pizza in East Brunswick, NJ. \n\nI've been to Vinnie's a few times since moving here with mixed results but i understand it's under new ownership. \nI ordered two large pies (I told ya the crew was hungry so don't judge 😋)--- one plain and one pepperoni. \n\nThe good: The sauce is plentiful. It's more of a sweet sauce than my preferred tangy style but it's seasoned perfectly. You taste the oregano and basil in each bite. The cheese is also plentiful and it is premium. The outer crust is a bit short on flavor but not bad enough to call it a deal breaker. It's only a little crispy and very moist on the inside. If you're thinking the lack of crispiness would cause the the slices to wilt, surprisingly you'd be incorrect. The slices stand up nicely! I folded the outer crust and there was no toppings sliding off and no oil drip.\n\nThe bad: The policy they have here requires a 4% surcharge on all cards--- debit or credit. I've seen other places do this and it annoys me every time. Just build the 4% into the menu price and stop making me feel like you're nickel and diming me. \nAlso, the pies could be cooked a few minutes longer to give the crust a crunchier texture.\n\nIf you're local to East Brunswick, this place is worth a trip for a taste test. But I'm not sure this is what I'd call a destination pizzeria. Give it a shot--- you wont be disappointed. \n\nOverall Rating: B+“

“If you're from the NJ NYC area and love pizza as much as we do, 🍕 😋 you're gonna love Papa John's. From hand tossed deep dish to stuffed crust, you can't go wrong. So many toppings, half or whole pizza. Just how you like it. Beats any other chain anywhere in the country, aside from your local Pizzeria in the tri-state area. Love us some Papa Johns Papa track. 10 minutes or less when picking up!!“
