“I have been getting Dominican food from this joint for more than 15 years and it is always on point. They do not over season their food like most Dominican hot bar style restaurants do and their pernil is always good, not too salty not bland, not extremely juicy but not dry either and it's been really cheap and consistent with flavors. Out of the variety in the Passaic and Paterson area, this place is my number one choice for whenever I am craving Dominican food.“

“Breakfast in a hurry! I stopped by to get a taste of an everything bagel with Taylor Ham, Eggs and Cheese. It came out hot, fresh and fast. The bagel was tasty and the eggs were cooked just right. Price was a bit high for what it was, but I would definitely stop here again in my travels. This establishment definitely has a neighborhood place type of feel and seemed to be filled with the local crowd.

“Small place. Friendly service. Place is decorated nicely. Just a few tables. Standard diner counter cafe and a few high chairs with tabletop counters in front window. Pancakes were the fluffiest I've seen ina while the blueberries were plump and delicious. They let you order a single pancake if you want which is cool. Took a pic after I started eating so you'll have to imagine the other half of the pancake“

“This is a great little café/diner right next to the Westfield train station. We are fairly new to Westfield and went there for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We were wowed by the wonderful customer service of our waitress, Cindy. She was very attentive, provided great order suggestions and also brought over their delicious housemade hot sauce to go along with our eggs. All the food we ordered was wonderful, including the short stack of chocolate chip pancakes, the egg and cheese sandwich on a hard roll, and the Florentine omelette. The chef (maybe owner?), Ash even stopped by later on towards the end of our meal to check on how everything was. We meant to write this review right after that, but then never got around to it and when we went back today a few weeks later, we realized how much we needed to write this up! This time Kirsten and Cindy both helped us out, and Cindy remembered us by our orders from the last time even though we had only been here one time- very impressive and shows a great attention to detail and customer service. Ash came by also, and it was clear he remembered us as well. The food was fresh and tasty yet again (we got the French toast, egg and cheese sandwich, and Greek omelette this time) and the prices are great. This place is a gem and is definitely becoming one of our go-to spots!“

“Came across this restaurant as I was searching for Black owned eateries in this new neighborhood we just moved to. When we arrived, the exterior was a little off putting, LOL! So glad Shaun himself stepped out as well as a gentleman who came to pick up his order. We got to ask his opinion of the food. He told us this was his 7th time back so we thought, Let’s give it a try! $58 later, we got 3 meals and WOW! Delicious!!! Everything was so GOOD! Catfish, Yams, Mac n Cheese (and I am VERY picky about Mac n cheese), Honey Garlic Salmon, BBQ wings, rice and gravy and that cornbread!!!! Definitely coming back! I hope this review helps another skeptic not miss out on a GREAT SPOT!!!!! Worth the try! The portions are hearty! So glad we decided to give it a shot!!!“

“I’ve been eating here for almost 10 years. The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD. People use the word butter milk pancakes loosely. Theirs really taste like butter milk. Everything is good. Same chef for years. My only complaint is, They never open on time, they’ve actually been closed for a while with no notice. Shame because me and my girlfriend are from out of town and waited outside for almost 2 hours. If they correct punctuality, I would give it five out of five stars because the food is phenomenal.“

“I had breakfast at Toast Montclair this morning! The food was overall enjoyable, though with a few drawbacks. I had the chicken wrap, which tasted good but had a bit too much blue cheese, giving it a slightly vinegary taste. Still, I’d rate it 8/10. The wrap came with fries, which were overly greasy and not very appealing, wouldn’t recommend the fries , u can substitute for fruits tho or salad . My boyfriend had a bagel with eggs and home fries, and he really enjoyed his meal. While there were some hits and misses, it was a decent experience overall.“

“My family and I have been coming to this bagel shop it's it opened up. They've been consistent with hospitality, cleanliness and extremely reasonable with pricing across the board. The most important thing that this bagel shop has that no other shop does is that it's an open concept, you see everything done in front of you from the rolling of the bagels, the baking to the food being cooked. All other breakfast food establishments I've been too divide the front and the back so you don't necessarily see what's going on. Having worked with the clifton health department in the past, let's just say there is a reason as to why we prefer ordering from here. Thank you for taking care of my entire family for 15+ years.“
