“Last Saturday, I visited Bar Burger in Edgewater for the very first time with a group of my friends, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience. We decided to try a couple of their signature items the My Sunshine Burger served with perfectly crisp, all-natural French fries, and the Cilantro Black Bean Burger topped with their flavorful spicy mayo.

The taste of both burgers was absolutely outstanding juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor in every bite. The fries were golden and crunchy, the perfect complement to the burgers. The Cilantro Black Bean Burger in particular had such a unique, satisfying flavor profile that it stood out from anything I’ve had before.

The atmosphere at Bar Burger Edgewater was lively yet relaxed, and the staff truly added to the experience. They were friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a great meal, hang out with friends, and soak in the neighborhood vibe.

“Spirit Hookah Lounge was so memorable thanks to our waiter, Moe. From the moment we arrived, Moe treated us with exceptional hospitality, greeting us warmly, making sure we were comfortable, and patiently walking us through the menu.

No one needs to tell you that but what’s really cool is that my wife and I went and I’ve been drying out this September but still wanted an experience of trying a bunch of craft cocktails. They killed it. Every drink was so cool and I even bought one of the bottles (photo). It’s just super cool for a place this famous and established to still have a commitment to service so high they’ll cater to some clown who wants to explore off-menu, zero proof cocktails. “Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food.The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

They've definitely upped their brunch game with some creative shared plates like middle eastern flatbreads and Dutch Baby pancakes. Went with a large group and there was something for everyone. “We came here on a Sunday early afternoon and had one of our best recent dining experience. We live close by so we went in hoping it would be a gem and it absolutely didnt dissappoint. The garlic naan might just be the best we’ve ever had. The mussels were very fresh and not sure if it’s the season but the flesh was super fat. The sauce it was cooked in was also very very good. Dipping the naan in that sauce was straight heaven. We also ordered the rotisserie chicken, which we thought was a bit pricey at first but man, it was cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy skin, JUICY all throughout, with grilled lemons and a decent sauce. The service was also phenomenal. Our server had great energy, and provided us the perfect balance of attentiveness and space.
The vibe of this place is also top notch. The modest exterior is only hiding the spaceous, modern, and elegant interior.

We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. Had a great server who told us fries were cooked with refined peanut oil since a guest had a peanut allergy. Refilled waters and drinks and checked on us a few times. Oysters are amazing, not a single bad one and no grit either, so shout out to the shuckers. One of my favorite places in the city, can’t wait to go back.“
