“We stopped in for the first time today. The restaurant was so neat and clean. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered shrimp and cheese empanadas, shrimp tacos, birria wings and churros. It was a lot of food but we were really excited to try this restaurant. A true hidden gem!“

“Oh my god this spot is absolutely amazing. Friendly staff and kiosk ordering at the counter. The bulgolgi burrito is packed with delicious goodness. The cheese stays gooey and melty. The meat is perfectly seasoned and so tender. It comes with a side of tater tots that somehow makes it even better. The orange soda is refreshing. Definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

Now for my standard comments. Indoor seating is comfortable and well kept. Tables are few but clean. Plenty of plastic utensils to grab alongside a water cooler. Parking is TOUGH in that area. We circled around for at least fifteen minutes trying to find a spot before we got lucky.“

“I am not a big taco fan but these tacos were sooo good. They put an avocado sauce on top that tastes fantastic. And they are prices are pretty average for most taco spots. I had the quesabirria tacos- delicious!! It’s so great to finally have an authentic and tasty taco spot in Garfield. And the staff was so sweet and friendly. They gave my friend and I rose for Valentine’s Day. I will definitely be back!! 🥰“

“Genuinely the best Taco place EVER. Tacos are always 10/10. I recommend the birria tacos FOR SURE. Getting their tacos for delivery is good and all but getting them in person tastes 10x BETTER. The workers are very friendly and the kitchen is very clean. Their workers were nice enough to help me find my boyfriend’s phone by letting me borrow their charger since it was dying and even offering to show me their surveillance cameras. Anyways, 10/10 for food and customer service. 🌮“

“Food was great as expected. Corn salad was a little smaller than in the past at other locations. The cheese flautas rocked.

Not as good as their Rt 17 location. Better than the Belleville Ave location.
They could probably stand to swap staff more between locations to help improve consistency and train employees.
One person I was with lamented the lack of diet sodas.“

“Fast, efficient bc you order on a kiosk, fresh, not salty, tasty, and close to the train station across the street in fact. It’s about $3 per taco for vegetarian tacos without tax so it’s reasonable. I paid about $15.50 total with tax for 4 tacos so it was enough food for a hungry dinner. No place to sit so take out only. And they double up the tortilla so you can have some extra and put in your own stuff.“

Very authentic and maybe the chef during the day is extra good too because I definitely didn’t think it was as good almost 1.5 years ago in the evening when I tried. “Stopped by Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria and it delivered exactly what you want from a casual taco spot like bold flavors, fast service, and tacos that feel unapologetically messy in the best way.

The tortillas had great texture, the meats were juicy and well seasoned, and the balance of cilantro, onion, salsa, and lime kept everything bright without overpowering the protein. The birria-style tacos had that rich, comforting depth while the grilled meats brought a nice char and smokiness.

The green salsa had real heat and freshness to it, and pairing everything with a cold mango Jarritos completed the experience perfectly.

Not a polished “modern taco concept” trying too hard to be trendy, just flavorful street-style tacos done right with generous portions and solid execution. A great stop when you want something satisfying, casual, and packed with flavor.
