Been going there since I was little, back long before the fire and when "Shimmy the Pickle King" was still there. Bought quart each of news and garlic dills yesterday, along with horseradish. And pretzels, of course. Redneck chic, still a great place.”

“We had gone to Woodys for years and recently started visiting more frequently. Really enjoy the atmosphere and the food is good. The holiday decor is a whole vibe—the owners and staff really went all out to provide a warm, inviting experience for their customers. We are always greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. I always enjoy the time spent at Woodys, whether with friends or family. The seating options are many as the heated outdoor area is available all year long. Good food+great service+awesome ambiance=a fantastic experience.”

Fortunately there are places like the The Taco House that can make those negative feelings melt away.

You start off with complimentary chips and salsa. See?? You're feeling better already, aren't you? They have great specials and the food is always served hot and fresh, and relatively quickly as well, which is an issue at some of their competition.

I'm not a giant fan of Mexican food but I've never had a bad meal here. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is good, and the price is on point. So help get rid of those negative vibes and get yourself a Mexican cheesesteak, or a torta, or a burrito, or whatever you're in the mood for. You'll be glad you did.”

“Amazing. We had our daughter’s sweet 16 last weekend at this venue and can not recommend this place enough! From the planning down to the nights end, the owner and his staff were incredibly attentive and bent over backwards to please! The food was excellent and plentiful, the venue was kept clean, the staff were on top of any soiled dishes and cups on the tables, and the outside area is gorgeous at night with the lights and waterfalls. There were small touches I wasn’t even aware of until the evening of our event. The mocktail bar for the kids had a menu where our daughter’s name was included in the names of all the drinks, flavors of the ice cream were more than the chocolate and vanilla other venues offer, the coffee was amazing, and the staff even helped clean our decorations at the end of the party. Everything I just mentioned and likely much more I’m forgetting at the moment all less expensive than most other venues we considered. Thank you again to Ravi and his staff for an incredible experience!”

“You can expect delicious omelettes with beautiful fresh vegetables at the "Local Diner". The homefries are not an afterthought here either. They are just the right consistency with an accent of color and taste from the fresh peppers and onions. We took home an order of the Lemon Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes that were on the "Specials Menu" for our Sunday Morning Brunch because they looked too good to pass up. We were not disappointed! Just warmed em up in the oven and they were perfection! It's not just an eating experience, the local conversation was just as warm and inviting as the food and the atmosphere. Terry, the Chef (and she is a Chef!) even came out to talk with us about food, family and the special dinners they put together at the diner. We loved it and are happy that we live close by.”
