Donna helped us plan our dinner every step of the way, promptly helping us with any questions we had. The waitstaff was excellent, food was delicious, and the lakefront location was gorgeous! From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone. Every detail was seamlessly handled: valet link provided in advance, immediate concierge and bellhop assistance, no waiting at check-in, and a flawless, impeccably maintained property. They even offered an Escalade shuttle to the restaurant so I wouldn’t have to walk in heels—just one example of how thoughtful and guest-centered everything is.

What makes this place ideal is that you never need to leave the property. Whether it’s a quiet retreat for couples or a family-friendly stay, the balance is perfect. Even with many families around, the atmosphere remained serene, and our adult weekend was never disturbed.

The staff made our stay unforgettable. Aiden welcomed us warmly and kept us entertained while our room was prepared. Michele was gracious with our luggage, and Chris went above and beyond—hauling our suitcase to the pool in the heat when our plans shifted from e-biking (my wife couldn’t quite reach the pedals!) to relaxing by the water. At the pool, Paige kept us refreshed with her bright, cheerful energy, making us feel truly spoiled.

Dining was equally memorable. At 90 Acres, our server Corey elevated dinner with thoughtful touches, including a surprise dessert packaged to-go when she noticed how full we were. In the Tavern, Rudy made us feel like old friends, mixing cocktails with care and conversation that made the night.

Every single staff member made us feel valued and cared for, which is rare even in luxury hotels. This property is more than just beautiful—it’s an experience that lingers long after you leave. In fact, it was the first trip where we didn’t take a single photo—we were so present and immersed in the moment that reaching for our phones never even crossed our minds.

For anyone who works a lot and doesn’t have time for a long trip, this is the perfect weekend getaway. We can’t wait to return.“

They seem to have a lot of fried food which I personally can’t eat too much of.. and the grilled chicken was thin and dry. The wait time for our meals was long despite not being too busy.“

The food was amazing the buffet was never empty, came in well in our budget and the views and that sunset. A special thank you to Emily she does the event planning for Alice’s from start to finish she was there with the greatest personality and smile. “My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last night. I requested to dine in one of their rooms. We were escorted to a small room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our waitress, Ava, was awesome. We were given a small complementary bottle of Processo which was so nice! We have been there many times before and never had a bad meal. The vintage decor there is fabolous! Highly recommended.“

“Beautiful grounds and building, dining room is lovely and a little lively, not stuffy at all. The service was outstanding and the food very good. The portions are not very large but that was ok as the prices were not outrageous. We found it a bit confusing that my husband was asked by the circulating manager to remove his fedora however, the woman sitting next to us had a winter ski beanie on and was not asked to remove hers, not a deal breaker but certainly annoying as the dress code was not formal and the man sitting with her had on sweat pants and sneakers....? Overall a very nice ding experience and I would probably return.“

“I can’t thank the staff of The Jefferson House enough for putting together the most perfect day!

It was far my first experience there, but this time I was the bride. The amount of pressure their event team took off of my shoulders was incredible. Their level of support and attention to detail earned my trust instantly. From handmade bouquets for me and my bridesmaids, boutonnières for my dad and the ring bearer. We all now have a timeless keepsake! They made my rustic fall lakeside dream come true with the centerpieces and decor. Michelle and Boomer ROCKED! Patty took immaculate care of the room and Sue and John kept the drinks full and on point! Service was fantastic on all fronts.

We had our ceremony out in the beautifully decorated gazebo. They reserved the downstairs for us as well in case the weather didn’t hold up, and set up an hors d'oeuvres area for the bridal party during pictures! Chef Mario’s food was spectacular from start to finish. The prime rib was absolutely divine!
I ordered a plain white cake from a local bakery and Michelle their event coordinator added roses to it to go with the theme of the ball room.

I highly recommend this venue for any party. They absolutely blew me away. I was overwhelmingly grateful for every bit of time they put into planning and executing our dream wedding. When I was nervous about the order of events they were there assuring me we were on schedule. When I wasn’t sure what poses to do for our photos, the owner stepped right in and took charge resulting in some of my favorite shots. You can tell they truly care about events as if it were their own and I’m glad it seemed as though they had fun doing it!

“Haven’t been to any Fuddruckers in years since they closed in Wayne,NJ. Was amazed to see a location still open. They have a large game room for the kids. One upsetting thing they didn’t have fresh bakery like other locations. Food was hot and fresh. Plus unlimited fries . Was well worth it.“

“Came for dinner with another couple. The tapas eggplant was delicious, light and flavorful. Just lovely. We had two burgers and two steaks. All delicious and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful, however, there is a huge bar in the middle of the restaurant. Which normally would not be an issue but this evening four young women were “working” the older men sitting at the bar. It became clear as the evening progressed that this was going on. None of us could believe what was happening right next to our table!! As the targeted men left the bar the young women quickly moved on to their next victims. It was all very obvious and pretty repulsive. Such a shame to have this type of thing happening in a lovely restaurant. I would hope management will be alerted by the bartenders that their establishment has become prey for this type of behavior. Quite unsettling.“

The atmosphere is wonderful with outside dining when the weather permits and inside has a warm, cozy atmosphere. I have introduced this Pub to new neighbors, that are new to Sussex/Warren Counties.
