“Due to circumstances, I can't go and eat there, so I've had Uber delivery for 3 days in a row now (trying various things). The quality of the food is incomparable to other restaurants. It's on a different level. Each and every sauce is made with care. They package it well. I had a question about the menu, so I called. When I did that, the female waiter (not Korean) was really kind! She explained it to me while shouting a little and said that she was sorry for yelling at the end because the store was too noisy. Even though she was busy, the waiter explained things so well! The food was great too!! I want to go and eat it warmly. I think it will taste better.“

“This place is the best! Best beer selection on tap and bottled! The burgers are so damn good! Good mac and cheese, wings, tots, chipotle sauces, and more! Plenty of tvs. The main floor is more of a sports bar with a jukebox. Outdoor seating too with tvs. They the club upstairs if thats more your scene. Definitely one of my fav spots!“

“I came here for the 1st time during restaurant week & I cannot wait to return back to try the rest of the menu.The staff & atmosphere was friendly & welcoming, you could tell locals come all the time. Everything I ordered was tasty, but the star of the show was my main entree, Moqueca (Brazilian fish stew with tomatoes, pepper, onions & coconut milk) - It was both comforting and flavorful.The fish was cooked to perfection (soft, tender & flaked easily with my fork), the coconuts milk stew was rich & robust in flavor, with a smooth enough consistency to coat your spoon. “Early March my and wife and I held a baby shower there. They were extremely accommodating with us and our guest. They also were very friendly and it worked out very well. We had families and most of the ladies at the tables and we had filled the bar with our drinkers and younger crowd.Music was good/ food was good / service was great! Anne was such a great manager worked hand in hand with our coordinator to make that day such a great experience.Overall 10/10 would highly recommend your next event there.“

“Went here to celebrate Lou's birthday. We had a fantastic time. The server treated us like family, the vibe feels like historic NYC, the food is well worth the price. Our table ordered the classic knickerbocker 28 ounce steaks to share (with baked potato, mash potato and creamed spinach), tuna plates and off menu meatloaf special . We also had calamari, beet salad, cornbread and caviar pie appetizers. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and plated. I would love to come back on a jazz performance night. Highly recommend this place and well worth the price, especially for a special occasion.“

“Loved this place. Great beer (though if you’re British they aren’t shorting you on the pints a US pint is 100ml less than a UK one). Fantastic food. I had the Salmon with Cesear Salad. Nachos were amazing too. My wife’s burger was equally good. I’ve never had one so big.Wish I’d bought the souvenir T-Shirt they were the best quality I saw in NYC.Dietary restrictions: I bought a fish dish which was very good and we had Nachos.“

“I'm giving Malone's five stars. I absolutely loved it. First of all, the service was fantastic! I mean our server was professional, friendly, and just lovely. I came here for the weekend brunch, and I like that they also offered non-brunch items. I have never like eating waffles or eggs in the afternoon. I ended up getting Buffalo chicken wings. I love wings and I can say these were amongst the best wings I have had. They were just crispy and delicious. And the fries were yummy too.“

“This place was AMAZING. We had the mussels, burrata salad, pork chops, and salmon. Every single item was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was calm and quiet in comparison to a lot of other places. We spent about 2 hours here and enjoyed every minute. The only reason I would give it 4 stars not 5 is because we went 30 ish minutes without someone checking on us and had to wave down an employee for drinks and our check. Other than that the staff was super nice! Love the feel of this place!“

The employees found it and made the order fast and gave us a couple drinks on the house while we waited. Employees were so nice and the best part was the food was great! “We tried a few items. To start we got the mushroom arancini which was really delicious and crunchy. There was a cheesy cream at the bottom of the bowl that was room temp but very delicious. We got the meatball which was amazing and the bread dipped in the sauce was so good. I was really excited to get the mussels but they were really unimpressive. Not so much flavor and not a lot of broth. The bread that came with it was great. We also got the charred Caesar salad. The dressing was really thick. Almost a hummus consistency and was on the bottom of the plate. The salad was very watery but still interesting. The table next to us got the arugula salad which was beautifully presented. For entrees we got the rigatoni which was missing something. It looked like an ideal pasta but was missing salt or spice. We also got the short rib which was highly recommended. Overall I would come back here to try some other items like the salads, sides and Mac and cheese. I'm taking off a star for the mussels. I'm also taking off a star because there was a really bad smell in the restaurant. It was a mix of seafood and sewage. I don't know if it was the bathroom and kitchen smells but either way it was foul. It was kind covered up at times by a slight fragrance but still disgusting.“

“We lucked into finding Jakes after a long day visiting the sites, and walking back to the 1 train to head back up town. The menu is seemingly one of only a hand full we saw in NYC that was remotely affordable food wise. The service we had was very good. I enjoyed the Steak Sandwich, and while I asked for it to be cooked medium it was medium well. Thankfully it was a perfect cut, seasoned well and tasted great as described on the menu. My wife had the Pear Salad without Pistachios (our son is allergic), the salad was a good size and I got to have about 1/2 of it. It was perfectly dressed, and the pear played delightfully off the balsamic very well. My Son had the burger and fries and he called it his new happiness burger. High marks from him as he is a picky eater. The only complaint was the cost of our drinks. 4 pours of Makers Mark on the rocks was over $50, which is nuts when you can buy a .750 for $24 in Baltimore (maybe not in NYC). At least they were fair pours. Next time we will probably skip the drinks (this was a theme of our NYC trip, I don't know why I kept getting alcohol).In summary, Jake's is great, and had good music playing.“

“Your own little slice of Commodore in Greenpoint! Food is just as good and drinks are also. Cozy little bar with a ski lodge theme and a huge lit up screen of Glacier National Park behind the bar giving off those The Shining Vibes. Backyard and side walk seating as well. The Cadillac Nachos and Queso are classics, the Spinach and Mushroom Quesadilla is a newer addition but one of my favs. The Commodore is the classic Pina Colada. You can do a shot and beer combo with just about anything. Prices can't be beat.“

Upon arrival we were advised the kitchen was closed. However the manager and willing cook, decided to reopen for us and stay open later based on our situation. “Plug Uglies was formerly Bar Coastal which I never stepped foot Into. I came here for some belated birthday drinks. When I got there it was not crowded at all. I ordered a Moscow Mule and I must say it was tasty. I ordered a sierra Nevada Hazy IPA next. The bartender was very nice. The space is great has plenty of seating. In the other part of the bar there is a shuffle board game. This is a great bar to come gather with friends for some food and drinks for sports game or just a weekend of fun. They have a few tvs here too. They supposedly have great wings here too with many different flavors. I did not get a chance to try them out though. Maybe next time.“
