“Today we had the pleasure of dining at Blue 42 Restaurant and Bar, located at 158 Market St, Elmwood Park, NJ, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The security staff were particularly friendly and helpful, ensuring we felt comfortable and safe throughout our visit.
While our order did take a little longer to arrive than expected, it was truly worth the wait. Each dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It’s clear that the chefs at Blue 42 take pride in their culinary creations.
We ended up spending a total of $78, including tips, and I felt that the quality of the food and the overall dining experience justified every penny. The combination of great service and delicious meals makes Blue 42 a restaurant I would happily recommend to others.

The venue features a rustic, organic field enhanced with modern touches that are simply stunning. “Stopped by for a light lunch on Thur around 12:30 pm. American Dream website is showing free validated parking when dining during weekdays 12-2 pm at listed restaurants, but when we asked, the server had to get a manager to validate it. David, the manager was being very nice about it. The restaurant’s website shows they have option for an Express Lunch menu, which has limited selection of items but of a better value than the all day menu. The maitre’d didn’t include the lunch menu until we requested it. Food came quick and everything was delicious. The corn bread came with sprinkles of wht looked like sea salt, and the honeyed butter & berries jam that accompanied the corn bread were soooo delish! Brussel sprouts were roasted to a crispy perfection, and drizzle of hot honey and pickled onions on it were just awesome. Truffle fries was fried perfectly crisp and hot, always a comfort munch. We chose brown sugar sauce for the wings, again the wings were fried to a perfect crisp. Some people might prefer their wings juicier like how they do in many other wing places, but i prefer my wings crispy, so this was very much to my liking. We ended up dipping the fries in the wing sauce coz it’s that good! Sweet with a mild tang and kick.. just yummy! The house made blue cheese dip was so thick and decadent, i could eat it with a spoon. Overall for the lunch menu, i’d say it’s a very good value. Might come back to try their entrees next time. Ambiance is fine, brightly lit and server is attentive. He asked if we’d like some water in addition to our drink order and left an entire bottle of ice cold water for our table, which I really appreciate. Wobbly table is a thing though, i read about it on the other reviews and our table was wobbly too, although the server said the previous table we were seated at had an even wobblier table, and ours wasnt as bad. I find it hillarious that they knew abt the wobbly tables and it’s still not fixed? Can’t even squeeze something underneath the table feet to stop the wobble? ? It’s certainly not a deal breaker issue. All Nighter mocktail was refreshing. Good experience all around.

Parking: Parking lot A would be closest to where the restaurant is. Check the mall website for any free parking promotion that have restaurants or businesses validate your parking ticket.

“Now that’s a burger! Best burger in Jersey I’ve had. So big it’s almost impossible to take a full bite but what a dream. The burger patty is juicy and they serve plenty of variations some with Cheetos, jalapeño poppers and even with pepperoni. The wings are just ok but don’t even waste time with that just head for the burgers oh and they have good good fries. 10/10 will definitely come back for more. Meat lovers is a must try.“

“Visiting from the UK, staying in the nearby hotel. Been travelling New Jersey by train, this place is on the way from the railway station to the hotel, so we have stopped off here a few nights. We have had good service and the food is good too, and all at reasonable prices. Very pleased to find this place as a decent way to end our day. Would definitely visit again if in the area.“

“It is one of my favorite bars in the upper west side. The happy hour and daily specials are unbeatable. The bartenders are very nice and great to talk to. The soundtrack however… is criminal. This community is mostly jews and senior citizens. None of which want to listen to doja cat sing profanities while sipping their $14 pitcher of kona big wave. A classic rock vibe would appeal to more folks and create a more relaxing atmosphere. Mazel tov!

Additionally, something most people don't think of but as a big sports enthusiast, I love watching games here. They always play the sound and have great timing to switch it back to music when the games are on commercial breaks. “I'm a little late but I wanted to extend my utmost gratitude for the outstanding service that was shown to my bestfriend & I on Tuesday May 23rd 2023 by Chelsea who works as a waiter in your bar. From the moment we arrived, Chelsea greeted us all with a friendly smile, the service she provided was first class. Even when the bar got extremely busy, Chelsea never got flustered and showed total dedication and commitment to her duties and treated everyone to the same high standard of service whether it was for a group of people who were ordering 10 cocktails or to others ordering food Chelsea was excellent and on point! How Chelsea kept up her sense of humour, enthusiasm and energy levels is beyond my belief. Especially after the bar was packed from people whom left Seal's concert at the Beacon theater to grab drinks and a bite to eat. Although we saw other waiters throughout the night, she stood out. Chelsea truly is a credit to your bar grill establishment. She fully epitomises what 5 star service is all about!
