“Not kidding. Our table of 4 ordered nearly everything in the menu. Each bite was delicious, balanced, nuanced, worldly, fresh, and inventive. We ordered a second dish of the carrots, and also the cukes. Dessert was outstanding. Interesting wines, including a chilled Croatian wine that paired well with every dish. Definitely returning. “We had a good, not great meal here. For the price (which was considerable) we were definitely expecting a bit more. The cocktails were great and the service great, the food was a bit underwhelming. We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.”

“My husband is a lifelong Texan and we recently moved to Philly from Austin and have been searching for good breakfast tacos to no avail, until we found Taco Heart. He loves the Troubadour and the Carrine’s Fave. They have excellent options for me as a vegetarian, too. The migas…chefs kiss! And we love the brrrchata.

But the real thing that makes them taste like home is the green jalepeno sauce. It’s impossible to find. But they make it perfectly!!”

From the first course I knew this was going to be one of, if not the best, dining experiences thus far in my lifetime. We’ve been fans since their time at Mawn, so we had high expectations for this new spot, and it did not disappoint. As someone who is Cambodian and grew up in Cambodia for half my life, I can confidently say Chef Phila and his team really delivered.

Everything we ordered was delicious, but the spicy crab gravy noodles were our favorite, packed with bold flavor and real crab meat. A must-order! Every dish was cooked perfectly, and I loved how rich and flavorful everything was.

The space is a bit small, though. I’d love to see them expand so more people can experience Cambodian cuisine.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Overall, it definitely lives up to the hype. Highly recommend if you want to try Cambodian food. This place truly hits the spot!”

“Pasta making class Olivia was excellent. She understands the regions of Italy and was able to prep and explain with ease and grace. A participant asked about cacio e pepe, which was not on the agenda, and Olivia quickly prepared the basic but difficult to nail sauce. It was spot on. Would def recommend HBB to friends and family. One suggestion though - supplying guests with aprons would be helpful!”

“This restaurant is an absolute gem! I went with friends thinking it was going to be a pretentious with food that I wasn’t going to enjoy and be a heavy meal. I couldn’t be more wrong. Our dinner was a creative journey that the chef took us on. We had the Sunday prefixed 4 course dinner in which each course was a delicate and flavorful experience. Nalini our waitress was a pure joy- knowledgeable, funny, attentive without interfering with our experience. She described each course like she was describing a work of art. Please if you’ve been looking for a new place to try, definitely put June BYOB on your list.”

“I recently visited Mighty Bread Company in Philadelphia and it’s easily one of the most charming bakeries in the city. The place has a cozy neighborhood vibe, and you can tell right away that everything is made with real care and craftsmanship.

The sourdough bread is the star here—crispy crust, chewy inside, and full of flavor. I also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches and a pastry, and both were excellent. Everything tasted fresh, simple, and thoughtfully made.
