We ordered a second dish of the carrots, and also the cukes. Dessert was outstanding. Interesting wines, including a chilled Croatian wine that paired well with every dish. Definitely returning. “We had a good, not great meal here. For the price (which was considerable) we were definitely expecting a bit more. The cocktails were great and the service great, the food was a bit underwhelming. We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.”

“Went in with my entire family for a late lunch. We were seated quickly and our order was taken. Within 10 minutes we all had our bowls of Pho. Fresh, hot and delicious. This place does it right. Best Pho in South Philly.

A participant asked about cacio e pepe, which was not on the agenda, and Olivia quickly prepared the basic but difficult to nail sauce. It was spot on. Would def recommend HBB to friends and family. One suggestion though - supplying guests with aprons would be helpful!”

I’ve been here many many times. As a viet, this is my favorite Bun bo hue (BBH) in all of Philly. It’s just sooo good. Their BBH broth is flavorful but balanced between sweet, sour, salty, it’s heavy with herbs and spices such as lemon grass (as this broth should be), while the meat is thick and plentiful. My go to tend to be BBH or banh cuon (also the best around). I’ve also tried their dry noodles and beef pho, both were phenomenal and would reorder again. The food is always fresh and hot, I could tell it was made with care.

The place is small and there may be a wait depending on party size and when you go but food gets served quickly. They serve tea at no charge instead of water (it’s rare to get free tea like this anymore). All the ladies there are very friendly. Highly recommend this place for great authentic Vietnamese food.”

“Not only is the food outstanding at Taco Heart, but so is their customer service. I recently ordered some of their tortillas online for pick up. When I arrived at the shop, they didn't have any ready for me to take home. The went above and beyond to make sure I got what I ordered and had them delivered, free of charge, to my home (miles away) later that day. It meant a lot to me, and has earned them a regular customer for life!”
