“Stopped by Loco’s Burger and was really impressed. First off, the fresh-made lemonade is a must-try — super refreshing, not too sweet, and clearly made with real ingredients. You can tell it’s natural right away.

The menu is a fun blend of flavors, and it feels like a Colombian-Mexican fusion spot. We ordered the sopes, La Diabla burger, and salchipapa — all packed with flavor and served hot. The La Diabla had a spicy kick, but still balanced, and the salchipapa brought back memories of Colombian street food. The burger named Gamina definitely caught my eye — a name that feels very Colombian and adds character to the menu.

They even have Colombian-flavored ice cream, which is a nice touch and adds to the fusion vibe of the place.

Overall, good portions, unique flavors, and a welcoming vibe. If you're into trying something a little different that blends Latin flavors, definitely give this place a shot.“

“Dog Day is a truly special place and the reason I moved to the neighborhood. I otherwise consider myself a vegetarian of 8 years. These hot dogs are divine any time of the year, but here’s my advice:

On a crisp fall day, don’t eat until 2pm. Have two Chicago dogs and a milkshake, then walk through the park. A cure-all.

Sometimes I hear the dog’s call ringing through Greenwood Cemetery treetops at night and I have to wait up all night in a cold sweat praying for noon to arrive.“

The setup is simple (order at the kiosk, one person running the show), so expect about 10–15 minutes, but it fits the street vendor feel. No seating inside, and it gets a little hot without AC, but you can grab your food and enjoy it at a nearby park. Authentic, tasty, and a must-try.“

“I 1st became aware of this place from a reel that I seen where some guy was complaining about the price. The way the employee handled it by offering to give it to him free of charge and he could come back and pay if he enjoyed it really intrigued me. Made me think these must be spectacular hot dogs and he knows it. So I took the 5 hour 250 mile round trip from my home to see for myself. Well these dogs were just amazing 🤩 perfect snap on the dog and the chili was just spectacular. The two women that were working the counter were simply wonderful and friendly. I will definitely be coming back. I would have to say they’re in my top 3 hot dog joints. “Got the half mozzarella, half beef dog with the potato coating and it hit the spot. Super crispy on the outside, cheesy and juicy on the inside. It is one of those things where you take a bite and immediately want another.

Edit: I wish it came with a full beef dog instead of just half, and the kimchi fries didn’t include enough fries or kimchi for what we paid.“

“The egg toasts were delectable! Actually so happy my sister and I chose to come by. It has a tiny kick of spice which was a pleasant surprise. My sister got the vanilla flat white coffee and she loved it and finished it so quickly. The only thing I wasn't over the
moon for was the corndog. I got the mozarella hot dog corn dog and it was okay. I wouldn't get it again.

Holy Schlitz! This is the best pastrami I've ever tasted including Katz's, Carnegie Deli (70s-90s), & Harold's of Raritan (80s-2010s)! If you've not gone, GO!!! I won't steer you wrong. It's tender, juicy, fresh, and has so much flavor! It's the Kobe of Pastrami! Sorry, didn't try the corn beef or knish but maybe next time. I got the $15.95 sandwich plus one Lb of pastrami $26.95. Tax is 6.625%. I paid cash but they do take cc. Just GO!“

“I’ve tried over a dozen Halal carts in the city, and this one has by far the best chicken over rice. Once you try it, you’ll go out of your way to come here every time you crave halal.

The chicken is juicy and always perfectly flavored and cooked. All ingredients are fresh. The sauces are great, and the red sauce is VERY spicy (love it)

The folks running it are super friendly and the cart is kept clean.

“We went yesterday to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. I had never been here before so this was the sweetest surprise. The host was so welcoming and gave us a choice for upstairs dining or downstairs and let us see both before we made a decision. We chose downstairs and were seated near this big, beautiful clock. Our server, Randy, was absolutely the BEST EVER! He was so attentive, made great recommendations, and checked on us frequently. The food was delicious...from the potato skins, to the truffle burger, and the sundae...we we so impressed.
