“Recently stopped in to kill some time, and this turned out to be the whole highlight of my NYC trip that day! I previously have had Other Half brews before and since this was conveniently located by where I was headed I added it. I had 3 different beers, the Broccoli, Bacon and the BA Sugar cereal and all were amazing. Staff was super friendly and they had some great tunes in the background. Highly recommend!“

City Hops Craft Beer and Wine Bar Brewpubs • $
1145 2nd Ave, New York - 9.82 miles

“The beer selection here is great, with lots of interesting taps (which rotate quickly) and a wide range of cans (with no corkage fee!), along with a surprisingly quality wine list for a beer bar.

Of course there are plenty of bars with good beer in the city; what sets City Hops apart is the people. The bartenders are fantastic, with extensive knowledge of the menu and great recommendations, and also an unusual attention to detail (see if you can find any smudges or streaks on your freshly polished glass...)

The bar's location also draws a diverse crowd, with neighborhood regulars, a happy hour crowd from Midtown and tourists coming off the tram all ending up in the same place. It's a rare spot that's equally well suited for bringing a group of friends, coming solo and making new friends, sitting and reading, or watching whatever game happens to be on.“
