“If you try the cookies at Downtown Cookies and say they aren’t the most delicious things you’ve ever eaten you can’t be telling the truth! Morgan and her bakers are artists with these cookies. These are massive, dense, delectable cookies with some classic and some unique flavors that Morgan has added her own flair to. She does a flavor of the month which are always on theme for a nearby holiday and they are so fun and absolute works of art. For our wedding, Morgan did an assortment of 5 cookie flavors of our choosing, plastic wrapped each, and then packaged them in individual boxes with ribbons of our color choice (to match our theme!) and then she made stickers and adorned them to each box. It was service beyond what I expected and the presentation was immaculate. We had the cookies placed at each table setting to ensure guests wouldn’t forget their favors and, walking around at our reception, we noticed more than a few cookie boxes had already been opened and sampled before the night’s conclusion. Couldn’t even blame them! Having been set on edible favors, we’re so glad we chose Morgan and Downtown Cookies to bring a sweet end to our special day.“

“First time trying this place and so impressed! The cashier was super friendly (Most impressive since he’s a young kid… you don’t see that often.) and the sandwiches are amaaaazzzing due in large part to the most amazing fresh baked focaccia bread 👌🏻“

“Great spot! We pre-ordered their special ‘Philadelphia Eagles’ pie for the big game. The woman who took my order was so kind and courteous. The pie was delivered perfectly ontime before the game started and it looked and tasted amazing! Will deffinately be back to try more of their menu items. Go birds!!“

“Stopped here to get a slice on the run. Place and food looked inviting. Has a bit of a cafeteria vibe but we liked it. Open space and lots of tables. Only got pizza which was decent but all the food looked good. Not upscale, but for what is it seemed like a good place to grab a bite to eat. Ordering at counter and payment system seemed a bit disjointed. We would go back.“

“If you are looking for a place that serves authentic Mexican food, then South Philly Barbacoa is the place. The food is delicious and is really cheap. They are known for their lamb tacos, and you must try it if you come here. It's cash only I believe.“

“An extensive variety of tapas restaurant with a good selection of wines and outdoor seating area. A focus on fresh, all crafted with the finest authentic ingredients. **Wine Selection**: A curated list of wines which achieve recognition as the "Best Organic Wine List" in North America in 2023. **Ambiance**: A cozy, inviting outdoor patio with comfortable seating, perhaps with Spanish decor and ambient lighting to create a relaxing atmosphere. **Service**: Knowledgeable staff who can provide recommendations on food and wine pairings, and who offer friendly, attentive service.“

“Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The staff is quick and helpful. The dance of flavors between the appetizers, entrees, and desserts were magnificent. A little bit of a walk from the theater but well worth it for a date night out. Careful with the stairs and it’s narrow when walking between tables, but to me this just elevated the coziness of it all. We will definitely come again!“

“It's an above-average deli, but they try to jam too many tables into the terrace area. You have so little space that it really affects your eating experience, and that's especially annoying when prices are so high. The baked items are good, not great (huge portions though); the herring in cream sauce is truly excellent.“

“Excellent experience. Came in from Jersey. Went to Reading Terminal Market and tried Victory Brotherly Love, and was told about this brewery who manufactures the beer. Besides the excellence of the drink selection, the bar tender, Dan was one of the best. He was incredibly attentive. what an amazing experience! Can’t wait to come back!“

“Craving matzo ball soup and a pastrami on rye we took the 60 minute drive all the way to Radins and we were certainly not disappointed. We came in at a busy hour but were promptly seated and served by the efficient staff. We started with the Matzo Ball soup, which was hot, naturally chicken flavorful but a little heavy on the noodles, very good nonetheless. Our pastrami sandwich was mammoth, with perfectly cured brisket meat, tender and flavorful. The rye bread was thick, soft and kept the bounty of pastrami together. The sandwich was accompanied by an excellent cole slaw and gargantuan order of double fried french fries which were outstanding. Restaurant is located in a nice building, clean and well designed and better than their rival up the road.“

“Hidden Gem! The staff- so delightful. Went for the first time and was guided by a magical lady who guided us on how to order. The food- QUALITY. The tacos are stuffed! Prices seem high but when you get the goods, it all makes sense. The two of use ordered a variety of tacos (6) and took two home with us because we were stuffed. Don’t pass on the aqua Fresca or cookies. Happy to have this style of tacos in south Philly. Thanks 💜Taco!“

“What a treat this evening was! Mabu is a little treasure of a spot with perfect lighting, perfect music, and very good food. We had grilled octopus, onion soup, and salmon. Everything was well-seasoned and well-balanced. Service was attentive and pleasant. It brought to mind a cozy, romantic neighborhood cafe in Paris! We will definitely return regularly. Highly recommend! Nice and close to the Kimmel/Acad of Music too.“

“Loved dropping in here on a Saturday. Very relaxed vibes walking in here, perfect for a relaxed meet up, coffee or quick bite. My wife and I ordered the Ume Plum Tea, Vietnamese Latte, Khang’s Special Banh Mi, Crispy Tofu Banh Mi, and Doenjang Butter Fries. The Ume Plum Tea is so unique, and their Vietnamese Latte is the best I’ve had. Their food portions are big, and will definitely leave you full. Highly recommend this place!“

“Walking into REN’s feels like stepping into a cozy refuge from the chaos of the outside world. This place is not just a coffee shop, not just a bookstore—it’s a community hub, a creative sanctuary, and a labor of love brought to life by one of the most inspiring owners you’ll ever meet. The owner, is the heart and soul of the place. Their passion for people, literature, and coffee shines through in everything—from the hand-picked book selection to the thoughtfully crafted drinks and baked goods. They know their regulars by name, support local artists and authors, and host events that bring people together in meaningful ways. Whether it's book clubs, charity drives, or just offering a warm smile to someone who needs it, they go above and beyond. The coffee? Phenomenal. Smooth, bold, and consistently delicious. And the pastries and snacks are always fresh, with plenty of local and seasonal ingredients. As for the books—expect a mix of beloved classics, hidden indie gems, and everything in between. It’s the kind of place where you go in for one thing and leave with five (and no regrets). Whether you're there to read, work, meet friends, or just breathe for a minute, this space welcomes you like home. Ren’s coffeehouse/book store doesn’t just mean enjoying amazing coffee and books—it means supporting someone who genuinely uplifts the community. Places like this don’t come around often. Cherish it.“

“Yes, it is actually open 24 hours. I have no idea how they do it considering how massive the menu is, but I’m so glad it exists. You can get nearly anything here - pancakes, smoothies, burgers, hoagies, gyros (which I highly recommend) - and watch them make it right in front of you. They’re pretty much always blasting music and in a silly mood. Doesn’t matter if it’s 4pm or 4am, the energy in this place is unmatched.“
