“I drive 20 minutes from New Castle when I have a well-known sub shop minutes from my house for a Sabrina’s mushroom cheesesteak that is loaded with meat, cheese and nice sized mushrooms! The only time I don’t do that is when I get the scrumptious Bug Daddy sub instead! Both top of the line sandwiches and worth the drive. I’ve also been known to get both at the same time to last me the weekend if I’m stuck in the house! Heaven!”

“This place was amazing! We stumbled upon it on our way home to Maryland. When we arrived we were greeted with a bowl of soup (it was so amazing I bought some to take home) and friendly welcoming owners. The food was amazing and presentation was on point. My fiancé is Puerto Rican and this is some of the best I’ve had! Authentic and the atmosphere gives you that Puerto Rico feel. Wishing the owners many many years of success and blessings!”

“From the moment we stepped inside the cute shop, we were welcomed by friendly staff who emailed me their huge list of offerings! I ended up getting a banana nut cake with peanut butter filling and whipped cream cheese icing and the cake is DELICIOUS! All were flavorful and as good as we have had in both Bangkok and Ching Mai.Service: the young man who was our server was friendly, responsive and gave good recommendations. The Bait Box Restaurant in Greenwich, NJ checks all those boxes and more. Located deep in Cumberland County along the Cohansey River, the only thing I regret about the hour drive was that we hadn't discovered this place sooner. They've only just opened for the season, so they're still operating on a limited menu, but the offerings we tried were all excellent! The New England clam chowder was chock full of clams and well seasoned, my husband enjoyed his smashburger with bacon jam, and my coconut shrimp tacos were some of the best I've ever had. Extra points to the chef for using watermelon radishes! It was modestly full for dinner tonight, but from what we heard it gets VERY crowded in the warmer months! They have bars outside, live bands, plenty of boat slips for which to dock (in case you want to arrive by water) and they're extremely dog friendly! Did we just become best friends?! Seriously, this might have been our first visit to the Bait Box - but it will absolutely not be our last!”

“I'm pretty obsessed with this place. The hours are a little hit and miss in the AM, but if you show up after 7:30 they're sure to be open. The food is excellent and the prices are exactly what you expect from a diner like this. The servers are all nice and they obviously have a lot of regulars, so they keep it light and joke around a lot. Make it feel like home away from home even if you're not one of them.”

“Looks like a dive bar. Clientele appears all local. We came on a Wednesday night where they have the steamed shrimp special. Place was packed. People filed in quickly ate and left knowing exactly what they were doing. Our server Nancy who is a nurse by profession during the day has been working there for 46 years! She has super powers! As we were trying to figure out the place she just appeared! Our drinks and orders came quickly. Beer on tap was chilled perfectly in a frosted mug and tasted fresh. The shrimp was fantastic the mahi bites tender and the Lima bean soup full of flavor. We even were lucky enough to get soft shelled crab. The strategic mistake we made was not to inquire about fresh oysters first as we were distracted by the shrimp special. We were already full by the time we found out. Next time! We didn’t even look at the menu.”

“Joe’s is by far the best pizza shop in the area. I have tried other places and nothing comes close. Joe’s is well run with consistently good food. The same guys are always working hard in there, so they care about your order and providing excellent customer service. I’ve come in multiple times on a solo run with kids in tow, and they’ll carry my order out to the car even if they’re busy.Our favorites to get are the Joe’s Special, tomato pie, and wings, but have never had a bad meal in the 10+ years I’ve been ordering from them. Have also never waited more than 25 minutes from call to pickup, usually just 15. These guys are FAST.Joe’s also sponsors fundraising nights for local schools which I appreciate.”

“I ate at the Orient Chinese Restaurant passing it several times on my trips through Pennsville. It is the type of restaurant by the front appearance that you would not give a second glance to but trust me you are missing a great meal if you do. The food and the service are excellent! I stopped in for a quick dinner on my way home and had a Beef and Broccoli combination platter with Hot & Sour Soup, the main dish with Pork Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. Everything was delicious and the food was so well spiced. The Beef and Broccoli was especially good in that they must have used a combination of soy and Hunan sauces for the dish. It just had that extra tang to it. The fried rice was wonderful and studded with pieces of roast pork. The Hot and Sour Soup had a nice pinch to it with peppers giving it an extra kick. The service was very nice, and the food came out quickly as the restaurant was not that busy when I ate there at evening.”

Their hush puppies are the best I've ever had, a perfect crunchy bite and moist flavorable center. My catfish portion was generous and cooked to perfection. Table near me had steamed crabs and they looked and smell great. The corn nuggets were savory little fritter bites that were satisfying to bite into.Wheelchair accessibility: Visited with Pop Pop who is wheelchair bound, there is a ramp and tables that are accessible”

“I am not from Jersey and had a different vision and definition of small, simple wedding than most brides that live in Jersey :) We were struggling to find something in SOUTH Jersey within our budget that could create the simple, fun, "us" ceremony and reception we wanted for our special day. We wanted to throw a huge party and FUN was our byword. I finally just googled "Barn Venues Near Me" and The Barn in the Gardens was the first suggestion. I reached out to Nicole and explained that I didn't like the terms rustic and farmhouse and hated burlap but was looking for a simple, laidback Woodland/Tea party vibe that incorporated books. We wanted dancing and lawn games and a fire pit where guest could roast s'mores and this venue delivered all that and more!Nicole is AMAZING! Her prices are reasonable and her packages are so inclusive of everything you would need for your special day. She has almost any decoration you would need and really listened to what we wanted and delivered. She is easy to deal with and her event space is perfect! It's been a month since our wedding and people are still telling us how wonderful and amazing the venue was and how much fun they had. Our guest had such a good time and loved Nicole and the space so much they are recommending The Barn in the Gardens to anyone they hear is in need of an event space - regardless of where in Jersey they live :)”
