“I met a couple of my old coworkers there December 20th after 4 years. I wanted to go to a highly rated family-run place and this establishment didn't disappoint. The burgers, meatloaf and pita wraps were excellent. The owner Vinnie greeted us and seated us, then came by to chat with us. The server was attentive and seemed to like her job. About a 15 - 20 minute walk from the Harrison PATH station. I will be making future visits there with old collegues.“

“Great little bar near the PATH Station in Harrison. Located in the rear side of the Element Hotel on Somerset Street. Very nice atmosphere, friendly crowd and very friendly service. Reasonably priced drinks and if you like there is some seating outside the bar when the weather cooperates. I found it a nice place to stop and have a drink or two. I’d recommend stopping in when you’re in the area. A nice addition to the newly renovated, and ongoing, Harrison Station area.“

“I went to this place in a clutch. Wanted some food and a drink after a late show at NJPAC in Newark after midnight. It is bar food; jalapeño poppers, wings, burger, etc but very good. The bartender was courteous and despite it appeared most patrons were usuals, we were treated well being it was a first time for us there.“

“I have been going to Sonoma almost weekly for over a year now. It started off with taco Thursdays and their delicious margarita specials and has now turned into exploring every menu item possible. I am consistently impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Incredibly delicious every single time. I am gluten intolerant which can pose challenges. The kitchen and staff have been amazing In accommodating my food allergy. I highly recommend Sonoma on any day of the week. It very quickly became my favorite go-to restaurants.“

“I'm a simple man. I saw a burger, beer, and shot happy hour for $10 and went running. I was expecting a little burger for the price but it was a solid tasty one. An added plus is the good selection of craft beer on draft. The bartender Stefany was very welcoming and hooked me up with an unconventional old fashion that hit the spot paired with the burger.

I thought this place was just the bar but I discovered there's another room with a pool table. I'll definitely back for that and the dart board.“

“I had a private event in the Parlor Room and it was fabulous. Food and drinks were spot on and the service was dynamite. There were 21 of us all together and everyone was well cared for by server Lily and the rest of the awesome staff. I really love the unique atmosphere of the place -warm, classy and comfortable all at once. No boring old chain restaurant vibes here. Everyone had a great time. I would definitely host future events here.“

“Stopped in for an appetizer and a beer before heading home for the day. We arrived after they opened at 4 and there were a few people already there. The bartender was super friendly. We ordered some local beers (good variety on tap) $10 a beer, and an order of the bang bang shrimp. I am still thinking about them.....for $18 there was a good amount of shrimp, the sauce was perfect and the crispiness of the shrimp was the best I have ever had. We will definitely be back for the shrimp and will stay for dinner this time. They have two floors of outdoor seating as well which is blocked from the main road.“

“Solid sports bar with good wings. We ordered three traditional wing flavors: buffalo, O'Hara's special sweet and spicy, and parmesan garlic. The O'Hara special flavor was by far the favorite of the group. I would not order the artichoke dip again as it was quite watery and tasted about the same as a frozen option from the grocery store. Although they have a great beer menu I was disappointed that my two preferred beers were unavailable to order (Blue Moon and cold snap). All things considered, I'd come back for the wings and the sports bar atmosphere.“

The setup is perfect — TVs in every direction, great sight lines no matter where you sit, and a lively atmosphere that still feels comfortable. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a whole Football Sunday slate without ever missing a play.

The pizza is great too — crisp, flavorful, and way better than what you’d expect from a typical sports bar. The rest of the menu holds up well, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the staff keeps things moving even when it’s busy.

“Great food. Tiny place and if you go late on certain days you may not get a table. Staff is hit or miss. One day I witnessed three young girls working there standing behind the bar talking to each other and on their phones rather then tending to the customers. I do have to give support to the one young lady who eventually had to run the whole place herself till someone came to cover the bar. They should always have more than one person working the main dining area. If you want a good bar pie come here.“

“Great local spot for drinks and food, with tons of TVs and all the sports, plus a cool little outdoor seating area. Has its own parking lot too. The food was pretty great, we had a small bar pie that had good flavor and crunch, and the disco fries were awesome. They're curly fries, which is great. Good service too, basic tap list but the domestics are $3 all day every day?? Sign me up. Live music on Fridays too, would definitely go back.“

The vibes have been frat bro and adults who still think they’re in frats each time I’ve been.

That being said, staffs always been nice and it does have a good social atmosphere where you can meet people / make new friends if you want.

“If you want an amazing taco, hit up The Hive for Taco Tuesday or any night!!! Simple and very tasty tacos at a very reasonable price. My favorite is the chicken and they are $3 a piece on Tuesday. They also have a beat the clock special for margaritas starting at 4:00. Jessica and Hamsel were super attentive and very friendly. Bar is clean and organized. “Tankys is the spot! These people in the comments below complaining about it being unsafe just have nothing better to do. Other bars right down the block plays music just as loud and stays open just as late. Besides the one incident last year, there aren’t any brawls or fights that happen there. Most ppl that go there are regulars and know each other. To the ppl complaint about it being loud in open late, you have the power to move to another place you knew where you were moving to when you moved there tankys has been there my whole lifeThe drinks are strong and cheap, the vibe is chill, older crowd, when they have a DJ the music is good, u can bring food in, and they have a lil pool table and a parking lot. I been going to tankys for year and never had a bad experience. Occasionally the bartenders be too busy to get to me and I’ll get tired of waiting and leave but that’s all rare.“
