“The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We ordered the chicken with beef/pork ribs family combo and it fed 5 of us with plenty of food left over. We did prefer the pork ribs over the beef ribs but everything was delicious. The French fries were crispy and the rice was nicely seasoned. The staff was super friendly. They offered us extra sauce and utensils and were willing to help my husband take the tray and drinks to the car.“

“First off, I was met with by a staff member in a cowboy hat (LOVE!) The booth was so soft and comfy and the table stands are ornate. I had the short rib and the meat was fall off the bone delicious! It was so tender and the sides were so plentiful and delicious. Each side had something a little different to pair well with the meat; sweet, salty, savory! I also had the shik Karak which was a delicious tea and for dessert, I had a banana crepe drizzled in chocolate. They do have a flair with food and I will definitely be back here!“

She’s the sweetest person ever 🩷We ordered the beef suya combo and it was delicious. The jollof rice was flavorful. I love the raw onions and cabbage that comes with it. Even though I had driven by, I had never pay attention at the restaurant, because on the side street 71 rd ?, there is no name plate on the facade, only on the Queens Blv. side, only when I drove east to west on Queens Blv I noticed the name; I think it should have a name on the side street also, because right now is a long black slab,take it from someone that works in the advertising industry!! There is one thing I don’t like about this place their parking if for whatever reason you do not have or missed or can not used your phone to pay for the parking instead of a$6 parking space you’ll get a ticket from this private company the owner of this parking lot and they send you a $104 fee insanely high !! Taking advantage of the people and technically 3 times the fee of a larking ticket you’ll get from the Montclair police dept. Robbery for sure and taking advantage of the state to charge high fees. Be aware of people of the scam in this parking spot ..“

“Small place ran by a lovely couple with all the signature classic Romanian dishes! This place is a complete hidden gem! The eggplant salad starter is just like my grandmother and mother make, the meats are excellent - portion sizes are huge and everything tastes like a solid Romanian place on my visits to Romania. “My friend & I were craving some BBQ food so we found this place through a quick Google search. We weren't sure what to expect when we first walked in, but the restaurant looked very nice & kind of rustic. I love that they have a few tables out front as well to enjoy the weather.

Our cashier was very sweet, friendly, & efficient. She also helped give recommendations as well. I ordered the pulled pork "sammich" with a side of roasted potatoes, Mac & cheese, & glazed carrots. My friend ordered beef brisket with a side of glazed carrots & collard greens. The service was pretty quick & the food came hot. Everything looked absolutely fantastic, but it tasted even better! My friend grew up with this kind of food in his family & practically teared up while telling me it brought him back to his childhood with how spot on the food tasted.

Nothing lacked flavor whatsoever. The pulled pork sandwich was perfectly tender, moist, with a tangy/smokey flavor. The glazed carrots were the right amount of crunchy & had a hint of sweetness to them. The roasted potatoes were cooked to perfection with a delicious flavor I can't put my finger on soaked completely through each bite. The mac & cheese was so creamy with some bread crumbs on top- no overpowering taste of cheese, (I ate that whole side!)

The food was so delicious that I ordered food to go. I ordered potato salad, macaroni salad, corn bread, & the cobbler of the day which was peach. My friend ordered over $100 of stuff to take home including the restaurants home made drinks (sweet tea, spiced peach, lemonade, & strawberry lemonade.) He also purchased 4 different types of their BBQ sauce, multiple jars of their jams, cobbler of the day, & the shrimp gumbo. Not a single complaint with any of the food. The price point is perfect & affordable. We had to leave a review with how much we loved this place.

10/10, highly recommend! We will absolutely be coming back while bringing more people.

“I just wanted to clarify myself to the worker in that restaurant especially the one in the front. We went at the restaurant today around 2pm. We went inside the restaurant and did not talk right away to let them know we were 2 customers, instead I stopped for a second and checked if we went to the right door. The worker in the front thought that we went in there to look for a guy and be with guy and do something. I just wanted to let that worker in the front know that we went there to eat and not to look for a guy. When we finished eating, that worker in the front got replaced with a young guy. I just don’t want the worker in there to think that we went there to look for a guy. We love to go to the church. Now a days, it is very important to do the right thing. We have a song in the church “choose the right.” Don’t judge the people by just physical appearance.
But other than that, the food was delicious. I highly recommend the restaurant.“

“They have treat you with courtesy and professionalism. Every time I have been there they ask you how you want the chicken cut and clean it fast. I have been here a couple of times and will definitely be back again. If you have the number you can just call them and ask them if they have what you need or they will tell you when its coming in.“

“If you never ordered from here you’ll be pleasantly surprised, I usually order the plater with bbq sausage, ribs, chicken, plantains and sweets plantains it’s about $120 for a large that feeds easily 10-12 people, small $70 feeds 4-6, extremely fully of flavor, love that smoked meat, this is an absolute must try restaurant for everyone, take it to go, because you’re gonna want to eat the whole platter and you don’t want to be in public when making a pig of yourself, lol“

The seasoning and charcoal taste was amazing, the fries were crispy, however the rice is pretty bland. My server was excellent and the prices are very reasonable. This is one of my favorite spots in Ironbound and I would recommend that you check It out.“
