“I absolutely love this place I work in the same building as the daughter of this restaurant and she is a bright and shining star of a person the mother and the cook of the restaurant is beautiful wonderful personality and makes great food I recommend this restaurant to anybody who's looking for a home feeling fresh food fulfilling and tasteful restaurant Gourmet Express is one of my favorite restaurants you guys are the best“

“Wow, what a great restaurant ?
This was our first time here and we were blown away with how wonderful EVERYTHING was.
We went here for the wife's birthday and they had set up a special table just for the two of us.
Whoever designed the decor did a great job with the colors, etc. They made one completely forget about the surrounding neighborhood. While it's not a bad area, it's just not really picturesque by any means.
Wonderful fresh rolls and a super pesto spread started the meal. Next I had a mushroom soup to die for and definitely unlike any other I have had before.
For dinner, my wife had the pork chop which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the short ribs with a light brown sauce, mushrooms, spinach and mashed potatoes, which was great, to say the least.
We shared the First "mounds" which was vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate and coconut and should not be missed. Lastly I want to mention that the waiter and the rest of the wait staff were all courteous, accommodating and very professional. We felt that they were among the best we have encountered in our area by far.
We will definitely be dining here again in the coming weeks and I would suggest that anyone living in Bergen county or northern NJ should do the same. EXCELLENT ?

We’ve been dining at The Front Porch regularly for the past 12 months and not only is the food creative and delicious (Asian fusion pub food, so YUMMY!), the staff is super friendly and the drinks are awesome. “We threw a drop-in Buffet dinner for family and friends at Houlihans for 30 to 35 people. The room is spacious and accommodated everyone comfortably. Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event. Sebastian the manager as extremely gracious and helped ensure our guests were taken care of. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend..“

“Well I just order theses French fries last night and they were burn and hard as a rock we need better older workers for this restaurant and we need better older waitress that could take the customers order and sever the customers the right order and for this restaurant we need a host for the front of the front entrance of the restaurant and we need a cashier for the front of the restaurant and we need a older dish washer worker that could handle the plates and we need older waitress that could pay attention to there job not giggly with there friends that's not working we need better workers for this nice restaurant and better older managers one in the morning and one at night to see how clean the restaurants tables are and also the restrooms and they should close the other side and keep that side only for special events. Because this is a American restaurants that we need real waitress and host for this beautiful restaurant.“

The staff and owners are so polite and professional, I feel like I could do a full page review on them alone. Our waitress Lisa was a pure delight. A breath of fresh air. If you enter through the bar you get to have a "Goodfellas" moment as you pass through the kitchen to the dining room and get to greet the chef. Finally, the food. It was awesome. I had the steak cooked medium and it came cooked medium..."WHAT!!".... I KNOW, who does that anymore. Cooking a steak to the temp you want it. Innovative. Oh, yeah, my wife had some did too that she thought was delicious. Anyway, it's a cash only restaurant so stop at the ATM before you head there for dinner. Go soon, you won't regret it.“

“I gave the atmosphere two stars because in the kitchen you can hear some screams, so I honestly don't think it's such a good work environment, besides the fact that the people are ridiculously big, I honestly don't know if they win or lose money in those mega monsters, plus the executive chef returned a meal that I had returned to them and they still left the cake without bread, and that was honestly a mockery that I had never seen in my life, they say that the environment has already changed but The truth is, I did have a bad impression, I hope the restaurant has already improved for the better, greetings from Mexico“

“We staying at the Hilton Hasbrouck Heights/ Meadowlands and Foodies Diner is about 1 miles from the hotel. Cute little place. My Wife and I we like th atmosphere. This is our first time here for breakfast. We order Greek omelet and Fruitie tuitty fresh toaste with 2 coffees. The fresh toast is very good but the omelet need more meat in it. “A big, delicious mess. That is what I expect when I order BBQ style items off a menu and that's what I received! I stopped by for lunch and ordered the BBQ Beef Brisket sandwich. It was much larger than I expected and I did my best to finish it but did not fully succeed. The meat was overflowing and the sauce got everywhere.

The sides were decent. I loved the slaw but the fries could have used a little salt.

I am in town for a few more days and will definitely be back to try the ribs and some happy hour specials.“

“We hosted a surprise 60th birthday party this past weekend and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From the first call to set it up to the moment we walked out the door, the staff made sure it was such a great experience. The people who work there are so attentive and kind. The managers Bryan and Kelly were so helpful in planning our party and Ivan is a rockstar. He took care of our party of 20 and made sure we had everything we needed. We never had to look for him, he was always checking on us and providing excellent service. He truly is so great at what he does. We had a sit down lunch in their cottage room which was so nicely decorated. the space was perfect. We felt like we were in our own restaurant. It was cozy but spacious and they were so accommodating with how we wanted it set up. We were able to bring balloons and decorations and the staff even helped us set up. They had a curtain up in the doorway so we were able to really surprise the guest of honor. Our lunch was delicious. We chose to do the seated option with 3 shareable apps and we picked a menu of 4 main meals from their party menu. Most of us ordered the shepherds pie and it was some of the best we had ever had. The presentation was cute. It came in a skillet which was served on a board with Irish soda bread. It was so delicious. The show stopper was the shareable Irish egg rolls. We couldn’t stop talking about them. The drinks were really good and the bar staff was really attentive to the party. The kids ordered from the long kids menu and they really enjoyed theirs as well. The pricing was very reasonable and worth every penny. We were able to bring our own cake and they cut it up and served it for us which was so nice. I can’t thank them enough for how special they made this experience. Everyone in our party had such an amazing time. The staff here are incredible. I would absolutely consider them for your next party.“
