“Stefan the new chef has a wonderful restaurant here with fantastic delicacies to choose from. Standouts are his Tuna sushi on rice cakes with caviar. Amazing. Also the steak frites with truffle fries and the tuna carpaccio...just wow. Stefan also had a delicious tapas served as appetizers a few weeks ago with anchovies and other types of seafood served on toasted baguettes. He is friendly and engaging and a great addition to the Ho-Ho-Kus dining scene. Bought St Eves from the previous owners about 2 years ago. Go and Enjoy!“

“Albert’s’s has been a go to favorite for many years and Albert is an excellent host. The food never disappoints and the service is always great. I recommend Albert’s HoHokus whole heartedly.“

“First time their! Food was amazing. The short ribs melted in your mouth!. The arugula salad with hearts of palm and fresh cheese was delicious! The strawberry shortcake made in a tall glass was so creative and delicious! Can’t wait to go back! The service was excellent!“

“The dining experience was excellent. However, do not bring your own birthday cake. Because the restaurant will charge you $2.75 per person to slice it. I find this obnoxious and unnecessary as a charge to their customers. The manager, I spoke to, “Junior“ was most disagreeable and clearly did not know how to work with customers who were having a large party for an event. I paid a lot of money for that birthday cake and we spent quite a bit of money there as well, but he would not budge which I was very put off by. So, in the future, understand that they will charge you 275 per person per slice. Maybe not the best place to go for a birthday celebration. I know I will not be returning for that kind of event again.“

“We threw a drop-in Buffet dinner for family and friends at Houlihans for 30 to 35 people. The room is spacious and accommodated everyone comfortably. Our server Eileen was excellent and the food was delicious. Michelle who assisted with the catering was very detail oriented and help me plan a great event. Sebastian the manager as extremely gracious and helped ensure our guests were taken care of. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend..“

“I’ve had the pleasure of having Kim as my bartender and she’s the absolute best there is. Very personable , knowledgeable of what to have to eat or drink and just the best at what she does . Her experience behind the bar should never go unnoticed. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and she’s always stood out among anyone else back there.“

“My first visit to Charlie Blood's definitely won’t be my last.
We started with the baked clams, which were fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. The bar pie was exactly what you want from a classic Jersey tavern pie—thin, crispy, and packed with flavor.
For mains, the steak with shrimp scampi was outstanding. The steak was cooked perfectly and the shrimp scampi added that rich, buttery garlic flavor that made the whole dish stand out. The Drunken Onion Burger was another highlight—juicy, loaded with caramelized onions, and just downright satisfying. The owner even came out with some of their dessert options to try which ended the night perfectly.
The food, atmosphere, and overall experience made for a great first visit. Safe to say I’ll 100% be back to try even more on the menu. If you’re in the area and looking for great food in a classic local spot, Charlie Blood’s is absolutely worth the stop.“

“I already enjoyed going to this place but stopped sitting by the bar because one of the bartenders wasn’t so friendly so when ever I go my group just sits at a table. Went in on Sunday with some friends and decided to give the bar seating another shot. So glad I did because we got Amber and she was a DOLL!! “Louie's On The Avenue has been our favorite local restaurant for years ..however last Friday Stephanie and her team knocked it out of the park! with 24 hours notice, they helped plan, decorate, cater and Host our impromptu wedding. I had a burger, onion rings and a chocolate milk shake. All 3 were delicious. My husband had the hot pastrami and French fries. Both were excellent. We highly recommend.“

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Though it might be easy to overlook because of the location, it’s absolutely worth finding parking for, even if you’re coming from a bit further away. The portion sizes are huge for the price—this delicious meal was only $15, and the flavor is out of this world. The meat was so tender, it literally fell apart, and every bite just kept getting better. You can taste the love and care in every dish.
