“Three of us had a wonderful dine-in experience at Koy Grill Marlboro/Morganville enjoying authentic Turkish/Mediterranean flavors and attentive service. From the moment we opened the door at 8:30 pm on a Sunday evening, we were greeted by a hostess who genuinely welcomed us to the restaurant. When we were seated, a pretty glass bottle of cold water was brought to our table, along with seasoned fresh/homemade Turkish bread and olive tapenade. The dinnerware and utensils were clean and tightly wrapped in napkin. Waiter and hostess (Ali and Olivia) introduced themselves. New to restaurant, I was given ample time to review menu. Both Ali (in training) and Olivia were very patient with my many menu questions. Needless to say, Ali and Olivia were spot on. We ordered multiple appetizers - shepherd salad, hummus + pita, crispy feta in phyllo rolls, and lentil soup. For dinner we had chicken shish, lamb adana, and lamb gyro + pita that I opted to top with grilled mushrooms and hot pepper. The online photos did not do the dishes any justice. I should have taken my camera out to share how plentiful the dishes were when served and how perfectly grilled the meats were, too! The food had delicious seasoning - that did not repeat afterwards. We took leftovers home and will enjoy lunch the next day. We each had desserts, too, that were served in glassware. One pistachio/gelato and two hazelnut/chocolate flute - both as pictured on menu. We were offered to take glassware home with us afterwards, but forgot to take with us while we focused on remembering to take our bagged leftovers. All in all, it was a truly enjoyable, unplanned Sunday evening dinner. Aside from the freshly cooked delicious food and desserts, it was one of the most pleasant interactions with restaurant staff that I can remember in a long time. Thank You Koy Grill and an even bigger Thank You to Ali and Olivia for welcoming us and for providing us with a great restaurant experience.”

“Great food here! I had to drive 40 minutes to get here, but the food makes it worth it! The service is great, the fish is excellent, and the atmosphere is friendly. The restroom is clean, but the only problem is the opening hour is a bit late. Overall, great experience. Would definitely come back again. Possibly the best fish soup in NJ.”

“Amazing new restaurant! We enjoyed a terrific dinner at Marmara - the restaurant itself was beautiful and comfortable and the food was some of the best Turkish food we’ve had. From the hot puffy bread and the mixed cold appetizers (each one better than the next) to the lahmacun (a flat bread covered with ground meat and spices) to the entree kebabs and Adana, everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server Irfan was very friendly and attentive, as was the rest of the staff (there were so many people working and all doing a great job). We had a lovely dinner and can’t wait to go back!”

The fish soup broth was not enough, it's kinda hard to scoop off the soup to your bowl, they offered if you want more broth, but then less flavorful after they add with just the base broth without seasoning.
Garlic shrimp was the highlight of the dinner.

“This was some of the best bbq outside of texas I've had! We got the brisket and the pulled pork with mac and cheese, corn bread, and mashed potatos. The brisket was incredibly moisty and melt in your mouth. The pulled pork was also really good. The mashed potatos were soo creamy and delicious! The mac and cheese was also pretty good though just above standard. Also loved the corn bread! The only super minor note i would say is it would be great if they had a homemade lemonade instead of just bottles”

“It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. To be actually seated (for hours) and served at the table greatly enhanced the culinary experience. We have rarely, if ever, felt that we have consumed a feast - but now, can proudly say so - because of Mr. Matthew and our experience at Kochi. This one-of-a-kind mesmerizing event will remain etched as an indelible lifelong memory. Thank you so much - for making this magic happen. Wish Mr. Matthew only the very best in all his endeavors ! “I visited this location on Saturday, July 19th around 5:30pm, (a busy time), and unfortunately didn’t love the taste of the drink I paid for. (At first sip.) The person working was a complete gentleman and kindly offered to make me another. It shows his character, and the values of this location to retain their customers. “For a $1000 meal I expect flawless service and unfortunately that was not the case. Drinks ordered during dinner arrived while eating desert. Two times they brought over the wrong drinks and one order they completely forgot.. Also when waiter brings over food he should know who ordered what and not have to ask again. Food was good but service needs improvement if those are the prices you will be charging.”

I especially loved their Bedmi Poori, crisp, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the sabzi. Everything we tried was good, but the street food items truly stood out. The flavors are authentic, well-balanced just the way they should be.”

“Rich and flavorful broth! Great sides!

Wow! Firstly, very lovely first impression walking in and being seated. I am a big fan of the robin-egg colored tableware and the Miniso Dundun chicken timers lol. The place felt very clean and fresh, upon arriving.

Food:
The broth was extremely rich and flavorful! Genuinely tasted like it was prepared for a long time (10 hours) just like they advertise! It tasted very savory and it pairs well with the chicken and the other sides! The fish maw white fungus, chinese yam, pumpkin, and hand pulled noodles were all very fresh and high quality. I personally loved how chewy the noodles were after cooking it!

Our order was 2 servings it felt like a reasonable price. Definitely satisfied with the portion size given that we felt pretty full afterwards.

Service felt very welcoming and friendly.

“This is one of my favorite places to eat between classes. I especially love getting the bae bowl and it's always so fresh, and the salsa and sauce is so good! It always lasts me two full meals because the portion size is really generous. Everyone there is also so nice and welcoming so I love coming here and will definitely be back.”

“I used to come there for some ice cream cravings. After trying like 4 different places around, this one blew my mind with pistachio ice cream, which is my personal favorite. Not only that the ice cream itself is properly flavored, it also has nicely sized pieces of pistachios inside. Their waffle cones are a solid finish to the ice cream. I miss this place a lot.”

“Been there a few times now. Love this place- authentic Thai food with Thai hospitality! First time we ordered chicken satay, fried fish with sweet chili sauce and mango sticky rice. My favorite is chicken satay - aromatic turmeric chicken with delicious spicy peanut sauce!!! Second time we had spring roll and asked for spicy seafood salad ( not on the menu I believe) . Third time - they have a new chef, so we tried larb moo and som tum - typical northeastern dishes in Thailand. Absolutely love love it! Will be back soon. Happy with new chef and love the friendly owner!!”
