“We had an event catered out of state and can’t say how wonderful and professional Abhi and his team were. Not only was the food great and spot on but the service, smiles and positive vibes from his entire staff was amazing. The event was seamless thanks in large part b/c absolutely no hassles from the caterer. The appetizers were fantastic especially the Raj Kachori which was a hit! Dessert was also unique with outstanding mithai which I have not seen elsewhere.

“For a $1000 meal I expect flawless service and unfortunately that was not the case. Drinks ordered during dinner arrived while eating desert. Two times they brought over the wrong drinks and one order they completely forgot.. Also when waiter brings over food he should know who ordered what and not have to ask again. Food was good but service needs improvement if those are the prices you will be charging.“

“It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. “We had an amazing meal a few weeks ago at Luca’s! We were greeted and seated and waited on promptly. We brought our own wine in which they had no problem opening for us. The food was out of this world. Their meatball appetizer is everything you’ve heard and then some. Incredible sauce, bread service, and our meals were excellent. My partner had the octopus for an appetizer and said it was incredible. Both of our meals were amazing and served timely and piping hot. I had the chicken marsala with mushroom risotto, delicious! And he had the veal saltimbocca. The service was prompt, pleasant and just perfect, and the atmosphere is lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant!“

They also have sides you can choose to add on like jalapeños and and pickles etc. Everything is fresh like if it was just cut and pickled right then and there I couldn't believe that a small jalapeños piece had so much flavor to it. “My company and I had a rack of ribs with rice and broccoli, a million dollar cobb salad with salmon instead of chicken. Well done and whiskey glazed ribs. Outstanding. Just outstanding. My compliments to the chef. My only disappointment is that they shut down so many TGIF restaurants and I had to drive so far to find this one. However, it was well worth it. The other problem was they seemed to be low staffed and the young lady who was serving me was very busy and having somewhat of a hard time keeping up.“

“Never been to this place before and the gentleman at the counter took the time to go over their most popular dishes to help me decide. I got a mixed platter with chicken and lamb and it was so good that I wish I had more of a stomach to eat even more! It took about 15 minutes to have the food prepared but it was well worth the wait. “Akihi is a chain of boba shops, with this location being located right near the Rutgers University campus. It was quite spacious, with large glass windows facing outwards to the plaza that hosts other smaller shops.

The shop hosted a self service kiosk, which made it easier to order and find things, as this was my first time visiting this chain. The menu is reasonably priced, with standard boba flavors as well as serving snacks.

I got the Brown Sugar Brulee, which wasn't too sweet but had a nice flavor to it. We also tried the passionfruit tea (called the fruit party) and it wasn't too sweet but very refreshing as well. It is a good compliment after having a heavy meal and you need something that isnt too sweet.

“Creepy Uncle Dave here. Today I went to the Tex Mex Deli in Edison. The food was amazing! I tried a burrito that was out of this world. Apparently this was a new entry to their already sprawling menu. My boss once told me that if I never step out of my comfort zone and try something new I will never taste success. At the time I was pretty sure the only success I was going to taste was the sweat from my forehead seeing as he wanted me to dig a 200 foot trench by hand. Anyway, this was a shredded chicken burrito stuffed to the hilt with chicken, rice and beans, then smothered with MOLE, MOLE, MOLE sauce. Sorry, if you know you know. My coworker had the birria tacos that looked equally amazing. They must have been good seeing as he didn’t even offer a taste. This isn’t a white tablecloth establishment but the food definitely has potential. I’m sold! I’m definitely coming back and I think you should check this place out too. Tell them I sent ya!
