“I was curious because another reviewer said that out of the 30 ramen places he went to in NJ, this was in the top 3. He’s right! I ordered the black garlic ramen, and it was delicious. Tender pork chasu and the broth wasn’t too salty. I also love that they included corn and bamboo. Very reasonable around $13. Some might want more than 2 pieces of pork, but I thought overall it was a good portion size. We also enjoyed the takoyaki and spicy girl roll (not spicy at all but had salmon, tuna, avocado with crunchy pieces). Service was attentive but not that friendly. Place was clean and decorated with many cool Lego sets! The only negative was the mango bubble tea. It didn’t taste like mango at all. Weird flavor. Save yourself and go to Gong Cha for high quality tea. But I do recommend the food at this place!“

“We really enjoyed the genuine Ramin generous portions and quality ingredients. I would definitely come back here. The only criticism we had was the portion size for the eggroll said you were getting six pieces but what they really meant was three egg rolls cut in half so that was a little disappointing. Not much in the way of atmosphere but good enough for a warm meal.“

“I’m so happy to have a place nearby that serves great Korean food! The dishes are flavorful and satisfying, exactly what I was hoping for. I also tried the sushi, and it was fresh and very filling.

The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of parking available. I didn’t have to wait at all, which was a nice bonus. Overall, a solid spot for both Korean cuisine and sushi lovers. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“The food is always good! We’ve gotten appetizers, cooked and raw sushi, bento boxes, pad Thai, hibachi, and soup and they’ve always been tasty. Our biggest issue is that the tables have very little legroom because of the built-in hibachi grills in the booths, which isn’t ideal for our tall family. We still choose to come back despite that because we enjoy it so much!“

“We walked into this place last minute on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday since another sushi place had been unable to accommodate gf. We could not have stumbled upon a better experience! Elan at the sushi bar made us a custom omakase tasting all gluten free and so delicious. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and really created a one of a kind meal while making us feel special and taken care of. We ended up with about 15 different courses i believe all fabulous and ended with a special ice cream sushi dessert. “I love their garlic shrimp with scallops menu item. I always get it for take-out. I have eaten at least 20 of them. There is a problem with their packaging. They put the food into a white plastic container that ALWAYS leaks. The container is not water-proof. They put the white container into a brown bag and put that into a plastic bag. The sauce leaks from the white container through the brown bag and into the plastic bag. When I open the white container, I get sauce from the bottom of the container all over my kitchen counter and have a mess to clean up. I have seen other take-out containers and NONE of them ever leak. This business needs to get a liquid-proof or water-proof container to put the food in so the sauce does not leak out. Wake up please!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a take-out today July 31, 2024 and was surprised to see they have a new container that, when held upright, does not leak. One good step in the right direction. I wish they would go one more step and use a truly watertight container. Many restaurants use waterproof containers so an even better type of container does exist.“

“Midori Japanese Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The ambiance is cozy yet stylish, perfect for a relaxed dining experience.

We started with the miso soup and gyoza, both of which were perfectly seasoned and delicious. The sushi was the real highlight — so fresh and beautifully presented. I highly recommend trying their specialty rolls; the Midori Roll was a flavor explosion!

The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. For anyone looking for an authentic and reasonably priced Japanese meal, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

“All you can eat!! Fresh fish!“

“We have been going here for our once a month dinner date for a few years now and are never dissatisfied. They are consistent, friendly to us every time, and quick! it is a BYOB establishment 30$ per person on weekends and $25 on weekdays will get you all you can eat from a menu that has salads, teriyaki choices, tempura choices, a host of apps, and all the sashimi, sushi rolls, and specialty rolls you can think of! My husband gets every appetizer on the menu but really likes the chicken teriyaki and fried shrimp dumplings. I go crazy for their shrimp and salmon sashimi and of course the classic US California roll. The few times we have not been able to finish a few pieces of sushi they have been understanding and not charged us, that being said we’ve seen many people order too much and get a charge. My main advice would be START SLOW. You can order as many times as you want and they are very quick to get the food to you. No need to start with a monster order and end up in a hole! I also recommend getting the hot tea (free refills all night) to help you eat more ! Finally if you are GF either pick up your own bottle at the nearby shoprite or bring one from your house they no longer offer GF soy sauce. My husband ops for spicy Mayo instead but you have to ask for it!“
