“This is my go-to morning spot. It’s hard to find a place that opens this early and still keeps the quality high. The breakfast sandwiches are consistently good and the coffee is always fresh. It’s a no-frills, authentic deli with great prices and a staff that moves fast—which I appreciate when I'm on my way to work. Best Portuguese rolls in Hillside, hands down.“

“Mama Rao’s kitchen has been catering all of our main home events last few years and we get nothing but raves from all of our family and friends over the food. They just did our Easter for twenty eight people, everyone loved the ham and eggplant rollitini and I am a big fan of their meatballs and sausage in their homemade gravy. “Someone recommended I come here and try some of the pre-made specialties. It is a small place, but there is no lack in options. Everything really just looked so good, I picked out a few things for me and my son. I picked up some Chicken francese and chicken Marsala, some marinated artichokes and some seafood salad. All of it, DELICIOUS! I have been a chef for many years so I can be picky and I can tell when places cheap out on ingredients. I did not get that vibe from here. I'm pretty sure I could taste the love. Highly Highly recommended“

“I have been getting my pierogi here for years. Hands down, THE BEST PIEROGI. Being of Polish descent, I have tried many and none compare. All of the baked goods are so fresh. The kruscicki, babka (the cheese babka is amazing), and the poppyseed bread are delicious. The potato pancakes are huge and delicious as well. My favorite place to stop when visiting Bayonne.“

“I've been going to Constantino's for a few weeks now and I must say it's one of my favorite places. I was a little disappointed a few years ago but Bill def has some incredible food. So far I've been sampling the sandwiches my favorites are the pork cutlet and the amazing turkey meatball park with vodka sauce ( delicious!!). I just had the Italian and it was perfect! Highly recommend this place!“
“Ruth helped me with creating a charcuterie selection for my Aunt's funeral this past weekend. I placed the order with her Thursday and she had everything done for me on Friday. “As a first time visitor, I would say the sandwiches are overpriced ($9) for a turkey cold cut, when you can get the same for less at a corner store. The selections for what you can put on the sandwich varies so it’s good to have options. They also don’t only make turkey sandwiches and I believe they had Halal food as well. Overall, I would stick to the corner store.“

“Materas’s really came through when i needed catering in a hurry due to an unexpected family emergency. I dropped in with zero notice and they were able to help me with feeding dozens of people within 30 minutes. The food was awesome as always. Kudos to Matera’s. Truly wonderful people.“

The food is good standard deli fare plus a few Asian additions such as Korean Bulgogi as well as Ramen and Udon soups. Wide variety of beverages and the prices are fair. “I had to order last minute for my daughter's St. Marys high school teachers appreciation week. The owner was amazing. Not only did he take my huge order last minute...he delivered it in time for lunch for the teachers and staff!!! They loved it. Fresh and delicious....the turkey and provolone ...and Spicy Italian were a crowd pleaser!!! Will definitely order again...and highly recommend ? ? ?“

“When I lived in this area I used to go here with my mom and eventually went her by myself. Sandy’s food was always the best and I hope to be able to visit there again since I’ve move away.
Also the tea was/still is the best I’ve ever had.“
