“Heard NJ had some good Italian delis so was in the search for one nearby this weekend and it was a pretty good find. Very homey vibes as soon as you walk in. Staff was friendly. We were the only ones there upon arrival, less than an hour before closing on a Saturday afternoon but shortly after they had a mini rush and some locals picking up a catering order. We ordered a half and full but the half was a decent size so don't be fooled. Two sandwiches, a lasagna roll up and two bevs was about $31 total, I would say pretty affordable. I would return and maybe create my own. The Italian was delicious, def recommend. I got the Chicken Avocado BLT, tasty but not sure I like the fried avocado. Some fresh avocado, cheese and maybe a pesto would've knocked it out the park for me! They also have some frozen items you can take home. Good start to my search for an Italian deli.“

“My son and I stopped in on Thursday of last week, on a whim, after picking up some items from the dollar store a few doors down. I had heard good things about the food, from my friend, who owns Pro Braids next to Irvington Post Office. My son ordered a turkey and cheese sub. He is a picky eater( with new restaurants). “Had the pleasure of stopping into Iorio Deli with friends Eric from Cultinary Road Trip and Tyler from Foodula. Had the chance to meet “The Boss” Gilda and her son Joe as well as the rest of the very friendly and helpful staff here. We tried a plethora of things so this may take a minute haha.Started off with two stuffed breads - A Reuben as well as a Pepperoni roll. The Reuben had a great flavor and the bread itself was tasty. It was slightly odd in my mind to eat a Reuben without grilled rye, but I enjoyed this. The pepperoni stuffed bread was also good and was even better with the addition of some sauce (they called it gravy and I thought I was in trouble haha).After that we were hit with some delicious Italian items including their house made meatballs, Italian sausage and peppers, and chicken Parmesan. The meatballs were just rated #1 in Central Jersey and #2 in the entire state of NJ at the Pizza Bowl a few months back. I could see why. Very tender, perfectly seasoned, and again that sauce/gravy was killer. To be honest though, I may have enjoyed the sausage even more! I mentioned how I didn’t get hit with that typical overwhelming pop from fennel seed and Joe said they make it with ground fennel so the flavor is still there but it’s not so in your face. I loved, and I mean loved, this sausage. The chicken parm was also very good but I had a small piece because I knew what was coming next!We finished off by trying two sandwiches that Iorio is well known for. The first was “The Jocelyn” which was a roast beef and Swiss melt on an onion roll, and the second was “The Sloppiest Joe” which was a North NJ staple “sloppy joe” but in epic proportions. The Jocelyn had good flavor and the onion roll was a nice touch and change of pace. The sloppiest Joe is sitting inside the top 3 I’ve had probably ever. The meats were freshly sliced and piled high, the rye was super fresh, and the Cole slaw had get flavor and added welcomed creaminess to the sandwich.As if there was any doubt at all - Iorio Deli in Roselle Park, NJ - Didn’t Suck!“

“What is not to like about this place?Warning: if you have a shopping list or have an idea of what you are planning to buy, try to stick with it. “Pastrami is very good. Moist and fresh. The quantity will vary depending on on who is making it but most are decent portions. They also have tasty home cooked dinners, perogis , potato pancakes and other things. But it’s all about the pastrami.“

“These are the BEST quesabirria tacos I have EVER had! They taste like home ?? tacos come with cheese and a very delicious consume. It was not too salty nor too watery, but a perfect consistency. The carne was seasoned to perfection, and it was a nice amount. They were not cheap with the portions! You get 3 nice big tacos.This is definitely a Hidden Gem in the East Coast ! You walk in and aside from the squad of friendly workers at both main counters you'll first encounter the amazing breads (and treats). All the shapes, styles and sizes your carb-loving heart desires will be found on one of these racks. Expertly made... dense, sturdy, flavorful, with a mighty crust (that'll give your Fixodent a workout!). Take a few steps towards the 'back' and now you're at the deli and it's overflowing with options. Each item looks bewitching and alluring and before you can even finish saying, "A pound of..." - somehow it's already sliced and bagged and the guy is waiting on the next item you need. (Maybe it's that luscious square of eggplant parm that they've intentionally left "posed" on top of the spatula or the Italian hot dog platter or that mountain of sauteed broccoli rabe that you know it's going to have that perfect 'bite'.) And as soon as you get home you immediately start crafting what's to be a most perfect sandwich with their seeded semolina, fresh ball of mootz (so creamy and delectable), and a few other odds-and-ends you snagged. I called Cioffi's and got Jerry the owner, who helped make my friend's birthday extra special by honoring my request for a heart-shaped pizza to be delivered to his house on his birthday. “This is my secret go-to place for made-to-order deli sandwiches in Newark. The place is located right around the corner from the Prudential Center. Krauszer's has a few locations across Newark, but this particular one is my favorite. Why? Because it's never busy and the workers are all very courteous. The main guy with the mustache (forgive me, I forget his name) greatly appreciates every customer, so I will always go out of my way to support businesses like these. I usually get their honey turkey spinach wraps--always fresh and very affordable! They don't have in-store seating, so it will be takeout at this location. **TIP: The made-to-order items come with a free bottle of water or a can of soda.“

The quesadillas were made with flour tortillas that were warmed on a griddle, filled with cheese, and diced cooked chicken. It comes with a side of guacamole and a salad topped with Pico de Gallo.
