“Shoutout to Marcela! I am a former 25+ year Hoboken resident and I’m not in town as often, but it happened to be cheat day, I was in the area, and made my way to Sweet. I got there at closing time, and saw Marcela lock the doors. I saw her come out the side door and I asked from my car if she’d be willing to take one more customer. Marcela did not hesitate, she told me to come back around, she’ll take care of me and she did. I went from bummed out to cheesing with joy. Thanks Marcela!“

“We had a lovely time at Cold Stone! The ice cream was very good — rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Our little ones especially enjoyed the fun mix-ins and colorful sprinkles. The “Signature Creations” menu offered a great variety to choose from — something for everyone.

The staff was friendly and patient, even with our big group. Seating was comfortable enough for a family night out, though the store could use a little more space during busy times.

Overall, a sweet treat for the whole family! We’ll definitely be back for more.“

There’s a few seats in the shop which was nice to enjoy our treats. Surprisingly not super busy on a Saturday morning but I can’t imagine that will last long!“

“Maria makes the best carrot cake, red velvet, trees leches, plain and almond croissants I’ve ever tasted. Her passion for pastry is simply unbeatable. This isn’t because I provide her with same day delivery service, but I’m speaking as her customer as well. Her pastries are crafted with arts and the taste speaks for itself. I’m very familiar with French pastries for far too many years, so mark my words, if you’re looking for authentic French pastries, Les Gateaux De Marie is the place to go.“

“Small café, but very bright, clean, and airy. There was was a small loveseat, a couple barstools, one or two cafe tables with 2 seats, a bench with a cushion and 3 café tables out on the sidewalk. Came in about 1:30pm, and were greeted warmly. Almost all of the pastries were gone, but the cheese with fig danish and the plain croissant they had left were good. We also tried the matcha lemonade, strawberry matcha and a hot black sesame latte. I liked the sesame latte A LOT, the strawberry was good, and I personally hated the lemonade, but that is a personal preference thing. The good thing about it is it isn't too sweet, but it was heavy on the matcha, so it tasted like liquid grass to me. I definitely like nuttier sencha tea better. The prices were average for the area, and since everything is pricey now, it is what it is.

There were other patrons there, busily working and looked like they had been there for quite a while, which tells me it may be a good place to sit and focus for an hour or two.

My party of three sat outside and because it is located in a predominantly residential area, it was a nice place to sit since there aren't tons of pedestrians. There were a few bees/wasps though, so we had to leave after a bit(highly allergic). There were also mosquitos and lantern bugs around--I suspect there is some standing water on a roof nearby.

I will definitely walk over here again to get that sesame latte, and maybe stay and pretend looking productive. But I'll definitely come back.“

“My sister was having a beach chic baby shower because her and her husband do not want to know the gender. She wanted cupcakes that looked like succulents that also taste delicious. I immediately thought of Huascar and asked if he could do it. I traveled to Florida with them and they were a hit. I can’t describe how beautiful they look and I can tell you the taste of theses cupcakes were out of this world. Everyone was contacting my sister afterwards to see where she’d got them. 😋😋😋“

“I almost don't want to write this review because I want to keep them a secret, but this cafe is such a gem in the Astoria neighborhood. Best baked goods and a great drink menu with seasonal options as well! I'm a huge pastry person and the owner bakes all of the yummy items you see in the display. The barista is also super nice and remembers all my random customizations for sweetness :)

They also have dog treats if you're picking up your order with a fur baby!

“I tried a few treats from Yummy Tummy’s Kitchen and everything was so fresh, delicious, and full of flavor! The cookie was soft and warm, the little pie was perfectly baked, and the cupcake was super moist with the creamiest frosting. You can taste the love in every bite.

What makes it even better is that this place is woman-owned, and the owner herself is the chef and baker behind all these amazing goodies. You can really feel her passion in the quality of the desserts.

“Bread is always soooo yummy and flavorful! Favorite bread is the white concha and one that looks like a croissant but taste like hojaldra orangey flavor I loveeeee. Also the rosca the best ever. They’re not stingy with the sweet sugary part of the rosca there’s enough for all for the amount they add. The place is semi empty perfect for taking ur time in choosing ur bread. Oh and the peach 3leches slices are good.“

“This is a popular bakery store in Chinatown that has lots of bakery and confectionery items. They also sell few cooked dishes like steamed broccoli, pepper streak, chicken, tofu that are sold with white rice. They have bubble teas as well, but it’s powder based. We bought few of their bread items and egg tars.

The store looks pretty old. The menus are handwritten on paper, taped on the walls. There’s one table in the corner for guests to sit, but full of dirt. Despite the issues with the appearance, their food quality and taste keeps bringing lots of customers.“

“I waited the absolute last minute to order a cake for my daughter's 18th birthday and Maison de Gateaux did not disappoint. I showed them an inspiration photo less than 2 weeks before the event, chose the flavors and prayed it was beautiful and delicious! I was able to pick up the cake at 9AM when they first opened the day after the holiday and crossed my fingers. The cake was beautiful. No... It was simply STUNNING. It captured the color that I wanted for the cake and the simplicity of the design of it. My daughter loved the cake. It was also delicious (we ordered the lemon cake and cannoli; bottom and top tier respectively). It was also budget friendly. I got the 8" and 10" which was more than enough for sharing.
