“We are never disappointed when we stop here when we visit NYC. Atmosphere and food is always fantastic and they make killer Manhattans. We just went for the 2023 Rockefeller tree and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. so happy they were decorated for the holidays. 100% go to in our opinion.“

“Stopped in on a Sunday to catch a bit of the game. Buffalo Chicken spring rolls were great and beer cold. But what really sets this place apart was the staff. Great energy and vibes from all bar staff. Game that I was interested wasn't on but they made a great effort to get the game for me. Refills timing was spot on and felt welcomed. I'm not in Manhattan all the time but would make sure I hit this spot. There are plenty of bars in area, it's the people that make it special.“

“Great food, great Guinness, great vibes! Wolfe Tone's was absolutely FABULOUS on Marathon Sunday! Derek was such a pleasure to work with in the weeks before our big day and he and the entire staff took such great care of us and our family and friends post-race! They truly went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, well-fed, and never without a drink! The location is also great, it was easy for everyone to get to and for everyone to go home from (so close to Grand Central and the 6 train!) One of the best pints of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland, such a cozy atmosphere and incredible staff members. Classic Irish pub food, which everybody loved! The classics are classics for a reason, and they were very well done. I’ve also had dinner here on a regular night, and it’s just as good! Great pub fare, generous portions, and a really relaxed, friendly vibe. It’s not just a perfect event spot, it’s a great place for an everyday meal too. I am so grateful to Wolfe Tone's for being a great, reasonably priced, delicious, comfy and cozy place to celebrate post-race. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to host any kind of event. “We stayed round the corner to this bar, was our favourite the whole trip. Welcoming and warm, nicely lit place, good choice of drinks which considering its location were very reasonable too. Staff were great too. Didn't have food but I saw plates coming out and it looked really good.“

“They were able to accomodate a party of 8 including 4 teenagers for a pre-MSG concert meal with no issues. Very good bar food and excellent service in a traditional Irish pub atmosphere. I've been in there a few times for drinks when I worked in the area and I'm glad I recommeded them to my out-of-town friends for their first NYC day trip.“

“Held an event for 35 people here a few weeks ago - they knocked it out of the park. Beautiful semiprivate space, good communication and easy to work with, organized and smooth service. Standard-issue bar food and typical cocktails. I don't mean to damn with faint praise - this is not groundbreaking cuisine, nor is it supposed to be. I was specifically looking for a generic pub menu that covers every base for a group in midtown, but one **that is run well.** Most of them aren't. This one is. Go here when you're in midtown.“

“I first discovered Finnegans Wake in 1990 and it was and still is my favorite NY place. Those were the days, my friend. We thought they’d never end but I haven’t been back to NYC since 2013. I heard Ignatius passed and May he RIP and Frank, the best bartender must have retired. If not, please give him a shout out from his “California Girls , Maria and Kelly.“

“Genuinely my favorite bar / restaurant I’ve ever been to. Staff is extremely friendly and food tastes really good with large portion sizes. Reasonable food and drinks costs especially for NYC. Was in NYC for 3 nights and after we went here the first night we returned for the next 2. Also my buddy had a big bruise from ice skating and they gave him ice for it. Great people. Next time I go to New York I’m not going to do anything but sit in Rumours all day I love it this much.“

“Fun hipster spot in the East Village. Saturday evening the place was busy but service was good. Had their Adobo rubbed wings and really good. The fish and chips were awesome and the best I've had ever anywhere. I'd go again in a jiffy.“

“I got chocolate chips pancake and turkey egg cheese with home fries. Sandwich was good, they added tomato sauce with mayo, so it all blend in together. The pancake was little disappointing as I had to eat it dry because didn’t provide any syrup. But it was soft and fresh. Would order here again.“

“If You’re in the area, it’s a good hangout place. It’s good to watch games and/or have a good meal. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.“

“This place throws rocks at other bars. Get a Margret in Mexico or four while you wait for your train, you ain’t gonna regret it. We loved being able to hang here while we waited for the not-so-bullet train to take us back to the city of brotherly shove. Loved it.“

No issue with availability and service, very attentive.
Chicken dish with sauce ok, but asparagus flimsy and green bean sized while mashed potatoes served ice cream scoop and lacking in flavor.
Long awaited favorite of mine, fish and chips.
Fish better than most in area, still lacking in wow factor while the (chips) were a flimsy mess , no crisp or seasoning.
As to beer, Stella was fine but Blue Moon dark and flat.
Better luck next time.“

“My husband & I were visiting NYC for a long weekend when a friend back home recommended we go to Kelly’s Sports bar. We live in Buffalo NY, so when I found out this bar was a bills backer bar, of course we were there Sunday, ready to cheer on our favorite team. Let me just tell you, this bar alone is enough reason to come back to the city. We had an absolute blast! & the drinks were good, never had an empty drink in hand, the bartenders are great, & it really felt like home. Thanks for the laughs & great drinks! GO BILLS!!!“

“We had the best pre cruise visit since we were staying nearby at a hotel. Both bartenders were excellent and the regular customers! Made us “southerners” feel comfy and offered up ideas and suggestions of navigating the concrete jungle! If we ever return to NY, we will definitely be back. Awesome food! Awesome service! Excellent drinks. Made our trip!!“

“Me and my family love Cassidy’s. We go to NY every year for Christmas. This year we had a group of 23 and Seamus was able to accommodate us with a reservation. Our waiter was Joe C. ,who was great. It’s not easy waiting on a large group of people, but he was super patient and kind.“
