“Been there a few times. I must say food is fantastic!!! The fish tacos and the southwestern chicken sandwich is a must try. They have different specials everyday. Friendly atmosphere, service is very attentive. Love trivia nights and live music on Saturdays. So far is my favorite place to go with friends and family. Great spot for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Highly recommended!!“

Derek was such a pleasure to work with in the weeks before our big day and he and the entire staff took such great care of us and our family and friends post-race! They truly went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, well-fed, and never without a drink! The location is also great, it was easy for everyone to get to and for everyone to go home from (so close to Grand Central and the 6 train!) One of the best pints of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland, such a cozy atmosphere and incredible staff members. Classic Irish pub food, which everybody loved! The classics are classics for a reason, and they were very well done. I’ve also had dinner here on a regular night, and it’s just as good! Great pub fare, generous portions, and a really relaxed, friendly vibe. It’s not just a perfect event spot, it’s a great place for an everyday meal too. I am so grateful to Wolfe Tone's for being a great, reasonably priced, delicious, comfy and cozy place to celebrate post-race. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to host any kind of event. “Watched the world cup here. We had reservations and we sat upstairs. Only two smaller tvs upstairs but they did the job. The food was good but not incredible. The server was excellent. One weird thing, they made a mistake with our order and brought out wings with buffalo sauce instead of bbq. I told the server about it and the kitchen made us another order, but they took the buffalo wings that they messed up. Is that weird? I mean, they probably just threw them out and I could have eaten them... (My kids are the ones that can't handle the heat.) Good experience, even if my team lost!!“

“This restaurant has been in Whitestone for over 38 years and it’s a secret Gem the stuffed veal chop is enormous and it’s awesome the staff is really nice and the marinated steak is the best if in Whitestone it’s worth the trip“

“Nice atmosphere in the evening with attentive bar staff and decent prices. There’s lots of screens for following the sport and there’s a wide range of drinks on offer. It’s a popular place but if you manage to get a seat then it’s a decent option for a drink.“

“While in the city last weekend, we were looking for a place to watch the FIFA match and McGregor vs. Holloway fight. Initially we walked to a couple other places not far away, but then circled back to this place which ended up being pretty for us (it was across the street from where we were staying). We got there early enough that it didn't take long to get inside and we had our pick at bar seats, so we got one right in front of the TVs that had both fifa and the fights on.

The place itself is pretty big and spacious with a long bar on the left side as you are walking through, and high top tables and booths behind it. The vibe and decor gives what you would like of a pub. But again, very spacious and it eventually filled up fast after we were there for a little while.

Service was good and our waitress (one of the bartenders) was great at checking on us, getting us what we need and just had overall good energy. We had a few rounds of shots and drinks along with our food. I got the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and opted for sweet potato fries instead of regular fries, and it was pretty good. Cooked well, tasty, the slaw was fresh and added flavor but wasn't overbearing. My boyfriend said he enjoyed his food too which was the Double Stacked Smash Burger with white cheddar and add-ons of bacon, lettuce and tomato.

“Had my husband’s surprise party this weekend. My family has had parties their in the past and Monahan’s continues to live up to their excellent reputation. The servers were so friendly, professional and engaging with our family…their personalities are perfect for their jobs….thank you so much. The food was outstanding….first time we had the stuffed mushroom and they were amazing. All our appetizers, The London broil, turkey and pasta salad were just perfect. My guests were very happy. My family continues to highly recommend Monahan’s. Thank you so much Jeff 😀“

“The restaurant has a area for sitting if you want to eat and another section if you want to drink at the bar. We had a nice lady who attended us and was quick with our orders. The food was pretty good. The mac and cheese was very cheesy. I thought it was cool they brought the burger with the toppings on the side so it didn’t get soggy and you can add it yourself after. The food is made fresh everyday so I recommend trying it out.“

“This place is amazing! It’s a centrally located Irish pub. EASY access to all the trains. Easily the best Guinness draft pour on most trips to the city. The coolest thing is you use the QR code to order from any of a half dozen different restaurants and the food is delivered to you in the large, open bar. Look for Elizabeth. She’s efficient, helpful, creative and friendly. Wonderful venue, right next to the escalators to trains running in every direction. Give them a try! (It was clean, comfortable and friendly.)“

“Watched NBA Finals Game 5 here and the atmosphere was unbelievable. The pub was packed with fans, creating an exciting and energetic crowd that made the game even more memorable. Great place to watch live sports, enjoy a drink, and soak up the lively pub atmosphere. Even if you're not there for a game, it's a fun spot with plenty of character and a welcoming vibe.“

“I got chocolate chips pancake and turkey egg cheese with home fries. Sandwich was good, they added tomato sauce with mayo, so it all blend in together. The pancake was little disappointing as I had to eat it dry because didn’t provide any syrup. But it was soft and fresh. Would order here again.“
