“Absolutely love Mrs. Walker’s Ice Cream Parlor in the Lakehurst area of New Jersey. The ice cream is incredibly delicious and surprisingly filling, with rich flavors that hit the spot every time. We’ve actually gone two days in a row because it’s just that good. The staff is friendly and the seating is very accommodating both inside and outside. Whether you’re looking to cool off or just treat yourself, this place is a must-visit. It’s got a great local vibe and you can tell they care about making the experience enjoyable for everyone. Can’t wait to go back again.“

“I entered the establishment and was instantly greeted with a hello from the employees. The gentleman made my ice cream to perfection! When he rang me up he asked me about rewards and helped me navigate the reward system. I sat and ate my ice cream and was super happy!“
“Just a fun place to have ice cream for lunch or dinner and pizza for dessert. So many options, lots of places to order and sit.
Large boards and text messages to tell you when your order is ready. No need to keep asking.
Orders are filled quickly, and food is delicious
The dragon roar is definitely recommended and the pizza has a great crust.“

“Yismach Yisroel is the kind of ice cream shop that makes you feel like you’re five years old again — in a good way, not the tantrum kind.
If you’ve ever needed a foolproof way to bribe—ahem—encourage your kids to behave in Westgate, this is the place. One mention of “Maybe we’ll stop by Yismach Yisroel…” and suddenly everyone is holding hands and saying Tehillim.
The store is bright, cheerful, and stocked like a dream:
• Ice creams, toppings, slushies — basically everything your kids will ask for before you even finish reading the menu.
• Tons of little toys and prizes on full display, expertly positioned at perfect “Tatty can we pleeeeease? 😇” height.
• Clean tables, quick service, and a staff that actually seems happy to help, which already puts them above half the places in town.
The portions are generous (Lakewood style — “small” means “don’t let it fall over”), the flavors hit the spot, and the whole vibe is just… geshmak. Great for families, great for bochurim looking to cool down after night seder, and great for parents who need five minutes of quiet while the kids focus on their soft serve like it’s a life mission.
Westgate parking can sometimes be a matzav, but once you’re inside, it’s all smooth sailing — just smiles, sprinkles, and a sugar rush waiting to happen.
Bottom line:
If happiness came in a cup, it would look exactly like the ice cream at Yismach Yisroel. A top-tier Lakewood treat and a solid 5-star stop.“

“Thank you so much Kelly and Chrissy for a delicious cake! Not one piece is left! Creamy ice cream and awesome crunchies!!!“
“Love the location right on Main Street. Plenty of outdoor seating and it's nice to walk around Freehold with a cold treat. The custard is rich and creamy, and the Italian ice has real fruit flavor. I got a gelati (custard layered with ice) and it hit the spot.
Only complaint is they were out of a few flavors when I went, which seems to happen often at this location. Also a bit pricey for what you get.
Still a solid spot for dessert on a warm night.“
“Great place, Amazing Ice Cream, Staff is super friendly! You can tell they know what they are doing!!! Can’t wait to go back again!!!“

“They only had one guy behind the counter, but he was flying, as fast as 3 workers. Was pretty amazing to see. Could have been in a video of fastest workers on YouTube. This guy wasn't just fast.... HE WAS FAST! Oh. And they had a lady doing checkout.Don't know his name, but as long as this dude is there, you never really have to worry how long the line is as it'll only be a few minutes either way.“

“Sprinkles – Lakewood North: The Only Place Where You Come for Ice Cream and Leave Questioning Every Middah You Ever Thought You Had
Let me tell you, walking into Sprinkles after a long day is mamash like entering Gan Eden — if Gan Eden had neon signs, kids running around with sprinkle-covered faces, and bochurim debating which flavor is “yeshivish enough.”
I came in thinking I’d be normal and get a small cone. Cute idea. Adorable.
Two minutes in, I’m standing there like a lost sheep while the guy behind the counter goes, “Nu, so what are you getting?”
And suddenly I’m ordering a double scoop, extra toppings, full send, like I didn’t promise myself last Chol Hamoed I’d “cut down.”
THE ICE CREAM:
Next level.
Creamy, smooth, geshmak — the kind of ice cream where after the first bite you’re like, “Okay, maybe the world is a good place.”
The flavors slap. The toppings are fresh. The presentation is so nice it almost makes you feel guilty eating it. Almost.
THE VIBE:
Peak Lakewood energy.
Mothers with strollers, bochurim pretending they’re only here because “the chevra wanted,” and that one guy who definitely came for a shake but is pretending to browse like he’s making life decisions.
It’s loud, it’s lively, it’s lebedig — mamash a taste of Klal Yisroel coming together for one purpose: frozen sugar and happiness.
THE SERVICE:
Quick, friendly, and zero judgment when I changed my order three times.
“Can I get a chocolate shake? No wait, vanilla. Actually, do you have mocha? No? Okay fine, chocolate again.”
They handled it like pros.
Not once did they give me the classic “bochur please” look. Respect.
PERSONAL MOMENT:
I took my first sip of the shake and immediately understood why people come here even in the middle of winter wrapped in a coat like it’s Antarctica.
It hits the spot, fills the neshamah, and for a solid 6 minutes you forget about life responsibilities like laundry, rent, or that you still haven’t called your mother back.
OVERALL:
If you’re in Lakewood and in the mood for something cold, sweet, and spiritually uplifting, Sprinkles North is a MUST.
It’s fun, it’s fast, it’s fresh, and it’s the perfect place to reward yourself for absolutely anything — finishing a seder, surviving a siyum, or just because “why not?”
Highly recommend.
Just don’t meditate on how many calories are in that shake. That’s bittul simcha.“

“Avery & Jay’s Handcrafted Ice Cream in Liberty Commons is basically a mitzvah and a nisayon in one place. You walk in “just to look,” and two minutes later you’re holding a towering sundae like you just got a shtikel nachas from Shamayim.
First of all, the place is mamash classy—clean, bright, and everything looks fresh and made b’kavod. You can tell they take the “handcrafted” part seriously, not just a nice word they put on the sign. The ice cream is smooth, rich, and legit “wow” from the first bite. And if you’re into Italian ice / soft serve / sundaes / waffles—they’ve got the whole sugya, with plenty of options to make you rethink your entire diet plan.
Now here’s the best part: you start simple—“one scoop, a regular cup.” Then you see toppings. Then you see the sundaes. Then your yetzer hara puts on a bekishe and starts giving you svaros:
“Take whipped cream—It’s basically air.”
“Sprinkles? That’s just simcha.”
“Waffle cone? That’s a kli, not a ta’ava.” 😄
And the staff? Sweet, patient, and helpful, even when you’re standing there like you’re choosing a shidduch: “Is this one more creamy? How’s this one? What’s the difference between these two?” They don’t rush you—very menschlich.
Perfect stop after errands in Liberty Commons, a family outing, or when you just need a quick pick-me-up that turns into a full-on “okay, we’re celebrating something now” moment.
Bottom line: If you’re anywhere near Jackson, do yourself a favor and go. Just don’t tell yourself “I’m only getting a small.” That’s not how this place works. 😉“
