A not-so-secret gem at the food court in Newport mall. The Taiwanese beef noodles always hit the spot, with huge chunks of tender beef and fresh bok choy. A close second are the pork chop noodles, with a super rich, milky soup and crispy pork cutlet. I also love their rendition of 卤肉饭 braised pork rice which mixes in bits of firm tofu and mushrooms. At $15/bowl, this is a perfect quick meal and I’m always satisfied and happy!
I thought I reviewed Dumpling Cafe. To quote Reagan, "my heart and my best intentions tell me that's true, but the facts and evidence tell me it is not." It's great to have flavors like this at the mall, especially on a snowbound sort of day. I've previously enjoyed the fried pork chop, roast duck and spicy chili wontons, and tonight I liked the spicy beef hot pot. So confused why this place has less than 4 stars. The food is delicious and the people are so kind. I’ve always had a great experience ordering from here. I highly recommend the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. This restaurant is my favorite of the cafeteria mall options.
