“The food at Djondjon is spot on.... This restaurant is a jewel. The food is amazing, and the hospitality is off the chart. There is free jazz often enough. The quality far surpasses the price. I love their pasta, their fish and their goats which come in various varieties. Their appetizers are yummy. I will continue to patronize this place. I had my Cabrit boukannen ( grilled goat) and it really pleased my taste buds.“

“We stop by around 7:30 pm we were greeted with kidness the food choices was endless we order to small plate we received so much food service was excellent first time trying the food there it was delicious will definitely be back I definitely recommend this place excuse the photo we already ate most of it in the car before we got home 😂“

“The food was great at BunNan and the service was amazing with Race and Jimmy, they were so accommodating and brought out a candle and a great desert that was bread pudding with cremas drizzled over it!!!!! The food was so good, the plantain sliders, the Tassot rice bowl, the meat was moist, not dry and it was tender. Their secret sauce is definitely a hit and the carmelized onions were amazing. “I am sure their food, style, pricing approach will provoke debates but I just tried to enjoy every moment. To me, presentation and feeling special plays a part to the whole experience. The food was not bad but i was not going to break down every components on the plates. I have to give credit to the chef to be so creative in how he uses the ingredients. The higher the price, the higher the publicity, the higher people expectations are so they will need to keep up with our expectations to continue to push the boundary and surprises.“

“The food is always good. The service can always be better. They don't always have what is on the menu & so you have to ask. It's a hole in the wall, but part of a chain. These little establishments are where you find the best food, though.“

“Honestly, it makes me so happy that a place like this still exists in downtown Montclair. I picked up two pizzas today - a pepperoni and a cheese for $25. The woman there was incredibly sweet and gave me a free container of cut watermelon as well. I really like their pizza and have always sung their praises - it’s slightly spicy. Traditional? Not exactly but I’m Italian and I think it’s delicious for a good price so that’s what matters. Hope they’re around for a long time — they’ve always been there for me in a later night pinch“

“I passed this place while in the area and was super intrigued to try a Haitian bakery. I stopped in and ordered a few patties (fish and herring), and was very pleasantly surprised at the non-inflated prices. The patties themselves were SO good and filled me up a lot more than I expected.

I will be back and highly recommend!!“
