Nice Japanese restaurant located in Newport. I've been here a couple of times and really enjoyed their food. There is no table service - so don't expect for that. Even the place being empty, we still needed to go and bring our order to the table. All the good we've tried were good and tasty - the guiozas are so good! The place is so cozy and clean! Only the service could be better.
I think this is definitely more of a lunch place because when I came for a weekday dinner, there was essentially no one there. I was kind of weirded out on how dirty the place was but never mind that. This is my second time at Menya (Jersey City). Both times I had the Chicken Teriyaki Don. It is really good, I did notice the second time my dish had a lot more onions in it (didn’t even notice the onions the first time). Consistency can be an issue but nonetheless the food was delicious.
