“We drove right past it but THANK GOD we were able to turn around and get to it the food was heavenly juicy hot and suuuuper tasty the cook we spoke with was amazingly patient as he could see we wanted the entire menu but didn’t know how to order it lol the man was a saint and got us exactly what we wanted we were in such disbelief that such amazing tacos came from such a small spot but it’s clearly a top shelf establishment and will continuously recommend this place“

“I’ve been coming to this small business for about 3/4 years now and although it’s just a taco truck I know enough that all I have to do is pick up my order and eat it at my house or enjoy it with my partner at the nearby park. I’m not gonna make a review about the “environment” of a taco truck and make them feel obligated to my seating needs for that I’ll just to a RESTAURANT it’s a perfect grab and go. The staff is very friendly and hard working people, for as busy as they get their customer service is consistently great. I want to mention how hard it is to find authentic AL PASTOR TACOS that are supposed to be made like how they make it here. The tortilla is always fresh, the meat is seasoned perfectly and you can tell by the color on the meat and the salsa verde is also perfect if you are into spicy fresh homemade salsa just the right texture not watery like others that I’ve had around the area.“

“I’ve dined here several times and I love it! I’m giving it 4 stars for Service because sometimes the margaritas are perfect, sometimes they’re too sweet and sometimes too tart. Their margaritas are not consistent. Which is sad, especially for a Mexican restaurant. Other than that, the food is delicious! The service and ambiance is nice. I will continue to eat here but I really wish they fix the margarita issue. Do some bartender re-training or something. I would not mind seeing new food items either. Try it out! The food is delicious!!“

“El Ranchero is my favorite taqueria in the bayshore. The tacos are the best in the area and the mole is delicious. The food is fresh and the service is fantastic. I recommend this to anyone! “I order the birria tacos and some guacamole to take out, the tacos were marvelous: flavor, tenderness of the meat, the corn tortilla, guacamole, the green sauce…omg a tasteful explosion in my mouth left me craving for more. “This place thrives mainly on takeout but has a fully functional and pleasant dining space. The food here is very good with a large variety of options. I had tacos as appetizers, and fajitas as main course - all were delicious. Whatever my friends ordered was also very good. Service was good and attentive. The place is BYOB so that makes things convenient too. It's never crowded, so it's a nice quiet place to dine in. Would definitely go there and try out the rest of the menu.“

The authentic Mexican food from this local joint managed to impress us.. we tried the veggie burrito, cheese flautas and mushroom huraches.. each dish was better than the other. The sauces and compliments were yummy. This joint is mostly for take out because there was not much place to sit inside. We are definitely visiting again!

“My daughter and I came across this place. Although it took a while to find inside the mall the food was amazing. It was a little food kiosk located on the 1st floor at Newport mall. We ordered a couple of the burrito options (chorizo & steak). The burrito meals contain 2 burritos, but we were not prepared for 2 full size burritos…and at $15 per order it is a great deal.

The burritos were spot on, I loved my chorizo burrito. Was fairly greasy so you know it is legit. The chips and salsa were just average, the chips were pretty thin and not like Taqueria Downtown’s.

Would definitely recommend for a lunch or dinner option.“

“Came here for lunch with my friends and was pleasantly surprised. Staff is super friendly. Small mom and pop shop pumping out amazing food. I got a torta and it was amazing. Soft bread and packed. It was a bit messy to eat but there was a lot in them. Salsa options were great as well. Green was my favorite. Great value. Will definitely come back to try more items.“

“A great Mexican option for our area. It's not just basic good. Although it may not look like your traditional Mexican restaurant, the food coming out of that kitchen is top notch stuff. The staff working there is very nice and accommodating. They are are always smiling and look happy serving you such great meals. This is definitely an Easter egg in McGinley Square.“

“Such a great mom and pop restuarant that has both delicious Salvadorian and Mexican food. Went here with friends and we each tried a mix of their pupusas, they took a bit to come out but they were clearly made fresh and well worth the wait. We also had their tacos and guacamole, so flavorful and filling. Our server was attentive and very kind. Great reasonable prices for the high quality. Limited indoor seating but can take it to go. Will definitely be returning“

The 2 gentlemen that attended us were really nice and very on point.For food options we tried their chicken flautas, carnitas nachos and al pastor tostadas. In my opinion their most flavorful were the nachos. It had the right amount of crunch, meat & cheese. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.My second favorite was the tostadas. They were delicious and perfectly balanced from the crispy tortilla to the refried bean, meat and cheese with fresh shredded lettuce. Superb!The flautas were ok. It did taste fresh, but I guess that’s what I get for ordering chicken. It lacked a little flavor.All in all though, I would definitely recommend. I will say, we dined in. It wasn’t busy at all on a Sunday night, but I did notice a lot of takeout/delivery orders.A plus is that it is BYOB!

Parking: We found parking easily across the street. It didn’t look too busy.
