“Shout out to Ricky's for being the last restaurant in the neighborhood to keep it real on food quality, price, and portion size.
I'd been scoping out Ricky's for a few weeks, after I noticed it by accident while walking by.
Wonderful and delicious home kitchen Puerto Rican dishes. I have no idea why this place doesn't have a line out the door all day everyday...probably because of its humble unassuming appearance.
Right now with the price gouging at restaurants and inflation, it's Exhausting going out to eat when you look at the bill.
It felt so good to sit down and have a plate if delicious homecooked food with a bottle of soda for $9.75!
Picture below is PR stew chicken w/rice and beans. Definitely will be back soon!“

“Quick food service, Beef stew was amazing with white rice. The place was not packed when I went, but as I was halfway with my meal it was starting to get packed. Good prices, great food.
Parking: It a hit and miss being it's on the main avenue of the shopping district. But don't let that deter you from going and enjoying a great homemade style meal.“

“Las Esperanza’s Restaurant serves delicious and well prepared Dominican food. I like to order the baked chicken with rice and beans. Sometimes I order a side of yuca (cassava) as an additional side. This makes for a good hearty lunch under 10 dollars.
The service is quick, I generally order to go to be able to eat at Liberty park or at my desk at work.“

“I went tonight for ny first time. I ordered the cinnamon rice pudding and the flavors of the dessert instantly brought me back to my childhood. The lemon peel in the dessert was what my aunt from Puerto Rico added when she made this dessert. The staff are kind and welcoming.“

“Being from Paterson, it’s very easy for me to tell if a Dominican food joint is authentic. This place is definitely authentic Dominican food. Love their res guisada. I make sure to order from here from my job at least once or twice a week as I work in an adjacent office. The owner is very nice. Great find in Journal Square.“

“Food is very good. This place has the best fried ribs. Customer service is top notch. Always with a smile and amazing energy. My only recommendation is better air quality in the back private room. Other than that I highly recommend this place. I will return.“

“Everything served at this restaurant is amazing. My father has been taking use there for years. I go every Wednesday for the Sango de Cameron, and ceviche. Prices are way more than reasonable for the quality of the food that’s prepared for you. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome meal, ease on the pockets, and more importantly cleanliness, and great hospitality.“

“My wife and I went in for a quick breakfast sandwich (Bacon, egg and cheese, coffee, and a natural juice - tamarindo) and everything tasted amazing. The staff is very friendly and even customize the sandwiches for us. We would definitely go back and recommend as well ?“
