“New Year's Eve was very cold outside We were seated in the front of the bar next to the folding doors which were very drafty and every time I the front door opened we felt an arctic blast. Not much Ryan the manager could do. We spoke to him about getting a different table in a warmer spot but none available. We just laughed it off and tried to enjoy our dinner. portions were large and our waiter, Regall? Suggested sharing which worked out great. Kung Pao chicken and pork fried rice was good but our location cooled the food quickly. Manager and waiter could not have been more apologetic and friendly. They also appreciated that we did not complain like others did.“

Tai Hing just moved up to number one. They are cleverly closed on Tuesdays instead of Mondays, since so many restaurants are closed then. The prices are also really fair and a good value. Either is the one across the street, which we ordered the day before and we’re extremely disappointed to the point that we wanted Chinese again the following night and we chose Golden Jade. Flat-out great food here and I knew it because it’s family run and everyone was friendly. You can tell they take pride in their cooking. We had fried dumplings which would great - they give you 8 and my only critique is they need more filling but the taste is great. The house lomein and house fried rice were outstanding. Fresh and not over sauced. The chicken and broccoli and the general tso chicken were what you expect in the taste department and we’re done very well. Their egg rolls were tasty. The highlight though was the boneless spareribs. So many places get this wrong - these were the best I’ve had in the area even topping my usual place. They had the right amount of glaze, weren’t tough and were made completely using rib meat. Sweet, salty, and easy to chew. This place didn’t disappoint and if it’s a battle between Golden Jade or the one across the street in the junction, Golden Jade is easily the winner.“

RB has a plethora of fantastic higher end restaurants but we were looking for quality at a good price and… we found it at Oriental Empire. Fusion offerings were pretty standard but the taste was amazing. Ordering the Pad See Ew and it was delicious, as good as I’ve had. Service was impeccable and a very relaxed atmosphere. “This is a Northern Chinese style BBQ. I came here with my family for lunch.
The server recommended a lunch combo menu. This comes with 5 decent sized skewers, rice or french fries and a choice of a drink. We all got a variety of skewers and shared them. We also selected BBQ oysters which were delicious 🤤!

There is a bathroom on the premises.
No free parking. Street parking only. Paid during the week.

“My husband and I went to SIU Kitchen for the first time today. The food is excellent. We had their Coconut Chicken broth for our hotpot, (as I don’t like spicy foods), which was delicious. We also ordered some shrimp for the hotpot, which were HUGE, and tasted very fresh. There is also free parking behind the restaurant which is an additional plus. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
