“Writing this review while I’m eating bad Chinese food in New Jersey, had me reminiscing about this place next to my old house. The garlic shrimp, sesame chicken and general Tso chicken are out of this world. I miss this place so much. Great food and great people. One of the best Chinese restaurants on the island. Highly recommend.“
“My family and I order take out from here all the time and let me tell you, they’re consistent. The food is always delicious and fresh, and the portions for the price are unmatched. Our favorite thing to get is the poke bowl combo with a sushi roll. This place just became our go to dinner spot when we’re hungry and too lazy to cook. Definitely recommend!“
“We've been ordering from here a lot recently.I really like their food, prices, and service.I do want to point out a minor gripe though.Every so often I get fried chicken wings from Chinese restaurants. They sell 6 fried chicken wings.Only thing is it's actually 6 "buffalo" cuts of wings, which is the wing and drumette, which is a wing halved,... which is actually just 3 wings! So I hope they read this and correct it. Other than that we get food from there weekly so it's good.“
“The BEST AUTHENTIC Puerto Rican Food - new family owned restaurant in Staten Island the owner and her husband always greets with a warm welcome the food is always fresh and the atmosphere is very inviting TV's & Music and nice art :) Cant wait to go back for some more of the YUM YUM“
“I ordered pork fried rice and chicken wings and BABYYYYYY I've never had chicken wings so good and crunchy from a Chinese restaurant. The rice was fresh. I really enjoyed. They also had great prices. I had and eight wing combo with the fried rice, and one order of eight wings which came up to 22 dollars! And they were big bulky pieces of chicken. Definitely worth the whole experience. Yes, I would order from here again“
“Very cozy atmosphere, super friendly, we felt really welcomed which is rare for NYC. Food was really good. Fresh sushi and my husband loved his spicy Yellow tail sushi burrito. They also have the best spring rolls we ever had. They also offer free perks and food when you buy at a certain amount which was a pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend and planning to be back when in the area again ?“
“The women owner boss business owner and the restaurant is very friendly and attractive and also family friendly and also very professional definitely the Seal of Mattolina LLC Quality pass for Third Party support and Mattolina Operating System development to feed my sophisticated, intelligent brain with my knowledge of the world and incredible people because I love people love all people people are great people, credible creatures in the world and I just glad that they are some great people in the world. The boss is friendly and professional and attractive so yeah I love this Asian restaurant because I chilling with the Asians. Take that Aisha I’m the best. ☺️?????????????“
“As someone who is from Brooklyn Ny, and has always had great Chinese food in the city I will say since I’ve moved to Staten Island I’ve been having hard time finding a decent Chinese restaurants in certain areas up until I discovered this particular Chinese store and I must say, that this is the best Chinese store in Staten Island!“
“Stop by here for lunch with a friend. Street parking only. It's not difficult for me to find a street meter parking. However, today is Thursday afternoon and I don't think it's a busy time for lunch. Food is decent. I got a lunch special and some barbecue skewers and appetizers. Flavor is good overall. Lunch specials comes with noodles with different meat option, and one meat skewer and one veggie skewer, and a drink; or 3 meats skewers, 2 veggie skewers, rice and a drinkI picked a noodle and 2 skewers. I think the skewers are overcooked slightly. A bit dry to me. But flavor is 7/10.I ordered a spicy beef noodle soup-9/10. I like soup noodle. I ordered a medium spicy one. It's not that spicy to me. The beef is bit dry but the flavor is decent. My friend ordered the shrimp noodle and she said the flavor is good and the shrimp is big and fresh. 8/10Popcorn chicken-8/10Sweet potato fries-10/10Price is fair to me. Recommended you to try this place if you're craving for Chinese barbecue skewers or soup noodles.“
“They have a somewhat a moderate collection of commonly used/ required uncooked/raw foods used for Sri Lankan kitchens. Mostly the prices are the same as seen with competitors in Victory Blvd. They do provided cooked food for orders. Haven’t seen tables lately to have the food!Parking is an issue indeed.Room for improvement.“
“I order from here at least twice a week. Food is always on point. I haven't had one meal miss the mark. I've also suggested this spot over the other Chinese food on Staten island. Delivery is pretty fast even in bad weather. Definitely worth the eats.“
“I live the seafood boil, I get it spicy. The steak hibachi also good. The steak is always cooked to my liking. I also saw the fresh cut steak when I ordered my food and it was definitely fresh steak and not frozen. 8/10 because the portions size is small.“
“I haven’t had food there in years. I was a may ling regular. When they changed hands many years ago I tried the food and was dissatisfied. There are a lot of ok Chinese in the area. I happen to like shrimp toast. It is the best I have had in years!! I know it’s the hot dog of Chinese food but i like it. The ribs were great and I am very happy“
“Way better than #1!!! General Tso's was soft and sweet. Rice is slighty pilafy than fried but still fried. Dumplings were above adequate. Egg roll was smaller and longer (like a stout springroll). Fried chicken was also slightly above average. Would order from here again ESPECIALLY OVER #1.“
“The owner of this restaurant was the most warm welcoming person ever, the food inside was one of the tastiest food and best Chinese food i ever ate. i definitely recommend visiting this restaurant. it lowkey deserves more then an 5 star, and if u need help with school come on sunday’s because the owner’s son is very smart and could help you out with your homework for free!!!Vegetarian options: they give a decent amount of vegetables and meatParking: there’s plenty of parking spacesKid-friendliness: if your kid needs touring go inside and ask the owner’s son and they might make an offer( the owner’s son is very smart and talented)Wheelchair accessibility: the wheelchair accessibility was right in front of the restaurant“
“Ordered my food online it came fast n hot n it was really good I got 2 sweet & sour chicken combo and 1 shrimp n broccoli combo DIDNT get my free drink or whatever comes free for spending $30 but I would still buy from here great service fast even in the rain n the food is worth it definitely recommend…“
“I recently ordered from here and the food was amazing. Some notable dishes are their general tso chicken, boneless spare ribs, and their beef and broccoli was amazing too. I would definitely order food from them again, as this Staten Island spot is my favorite.“
“Good and fast Chinese food with vegetarian options. My go-to spot for vegetarian chicken and broccoli. Delicious. It's definitely a takeout type of place I would not eat in.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian beef and broccoli, also chicken and broccoli.“
“This is my second time here and I am addicted to these Cajun wings lol. They are the best I've had! Definitely didn't expect it to be so mouth watering. I also got the chicken fried rice and sweet tea. The only Chinese place that ever really did my order right. I always asked for my vegetables to be cooked extra soft because with onions I can only eat then cooked down. I'm allergic to them raw. Usually any other place I have to come home and re fry then but this place I come home and it's ready to eat. The guy in the front is very professional and kind. Today he gave me something complimentary and it made my day that someone was kind to me because I have had a rough one. So thank you for the good deed. I will definitely be a loyal customer!“
“Didn't have to wait long for my food to be ready so service was quick less than 10 min. I ordered general's chicken and I loved the sauce as it was a lil thicker than most places. Shrimp roll had a big piece of shrimp inside and was delicious. I will go back!“
“My favorite Chinese restaurant in St. George. Nice food and friendly service. I believe they saved my life from starving death couple of times! :DIf you don't know what to order (and ready to trust me, and I'm just a random person from the internet), I would recommend orange beef and dumplings. Also they have combination platters and lunch menu.“
“I honestly eat there dumplings almost every week!!! This restaurant has the best dumplings never had a bad experience. I get them delivered or pick it up, it is always hot and fresh.Kid-friendliness: I brought my daughter in and placed an order and the lady that took my order was very kind and gave her a lollipop ?.“
“My favorite chinese take-out spot that I’ve been to in NYC. I’ve only been to maybe like 15 different ones but I’ve lived in Brooklyn my whole life and since moving to staten island & finding this spot in 2020, this place is great. The food consistently tastes good (& fresh!) prices are reasonable (at least compared to most places these days), also not too salty or greasy (does not leave me feeling puffy eyed & queasy) ((but it also helps to not over-eat)), also, friendly staff. Sometimes they put a little spring roll or shrimp chips in your bag for free. So I appreciate that!I like to get steamed pork dumplings (they don’t skimp on the meat like most places do), & chicken/shrimp & broccoli w/riceI haven’t had everything on the menu but I’m sure you can probably get your favorite standard take-out meal and be quite satisfied! God bless you New Win Hing! Jesus loves you!“
“I ordered from them the other day..and i felt like as soon as i hung up from her taking my order i get a call back saying my food is at the door ??im like yes that very fast but then it didn't stop there i ordered a lot of food so imagine the bag when i got it nothing was spilled EVERYTHING was nice and neat packed in the bag... Then when i got done to the eating part?? I mean everything was well made and just amazing!!!! Let me just say for my first time ordering from them my $37.50 was well spent“
“This place has incredible service. The food here is great and the dumplings are immaculate. All the staff members are incredibly nice and friendly. You can also tell that they reguraly change their oil based on the taste. They also offer to bring my food out too me due to me being to big to fit through the door. This place is a 10/10 and I would recommend friends and family coming to eat in this place.“
“So happy they got a dim sum restaurant in Staten Island, great food, and up to par. A little expensive but if you looking for a nice atmosphere, comfortable seating, and a fine dining experience. This is the place to come, great for special occasions.“
“This place has been in the neighborhood as long as I can remember. Food quality is consistently good and the delivery service is faster than any other place that I order from. Prices are comparable or even a little lower than the competition.“
“Hands down the best Chinese food I've ever had. We ordered egg drop soup, vegetable fried rice, beef and broccoli, and orange chicken. I can't even tell you what was best because it was all so incredible. The owners we're super welcoming. Definitely going to be a regular here!“
“Delicious! The best scallion pancakes and bbq boneless spare ribs ... authhenic fried rice and huge steamed dumplings!! i ordered pretty late and the food came fast and hot. It's been hard to get good chinese food lately. Lucky fortune is my new go to.“
“It’s always great to discover a new restaurant! Today, Jac Mao’s was that place!Serving Chinese and Japanese cuisine in a well decorated, clean and tastefully decorated dining area made for a great dining experience! The service was extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable of their product. The entire meal was well timed and we never felt rushedAll four of us in my party thoroughly enjoyed our meal and made plans to return soon!“
“What a gem! Their onigiri ? was so delicious. We got kani and tuna, comes with spicy mayo on the side. It is made to order, super filling and fresh. The mochi donuts were phenomenal. Artful presentation, the flavors were so unique, and the dough is so soft and chewy, definitely unlike any other donut I’ve had. We will be back ?“
“I got the clay pot rice with spare ribs and chicken which was really good. The spare ribs were on the saltier side and the chicken was more mild so it brought a good balance. I also got the Hong Kong style lemon tea which was also really good. 10/10 would recommend and come “
“Lovely atmosphere. Large windows giving a sense of space to a smallish room. Gracious reception. Good bar seat with attentive staff. Hamachi crudo was fresh and contrasted well with mushrooms and vinaigrette (a tad too salty) . Bright and bitter broccoli rabe, with breadcrumbs, chili and garlic was perfect and could have been a whole meal! Shrimp was fresh. I am very selective. Food has to be top quality and atmosphere authentic. The Clam rocked it.“
“Discovered a gem of a take-out Chinese restaurant. If you get past the outward appearances, you'll appreciate this place. This was my first time here. I was hungry looking for something to fill me up before soccer practice and I found Chen's Garden in a shopping plaza nearby the Owl Hollow fields. I got the lunch special - Roast Pork Broccoli. Comes with Pork Fried Rice and a choice of soup or a can of soda. I opted for the Wonton soup. It was amazing and just hit the spot. The Pork Broccoli was on point too; I put two duck sauce packs over the pork and broccoli and one soy sauce pack over rice and it made the meal complete. The mustard sauce for the soup. I can't believe I just discovered this. And they are good people, trust me, I can tell. If you don't believe me, I dare you to go and see, and give Chen Garden some of your love and support y'all.“
“Came here for the lunch deals (sushi & chinese), mannnnn the prices were awesome?3 rolls, 1 tofu rice combo, 2 soups for $23.35(tax included)??The food and service was EXCELLENT, the lady was super nice to us and made sure we were good with everythingIts definitely more of a calm ambience, not alot of people, perfect for a relaxing lunchPlus i notice some new renovations with the walls and tables n chairs etcOverall we were absolutely satisfied and will definitely be coming back ???“
“We stopped at this restaurant for takeaway during a visit to Staten Island. The food was piping hot and very delicious. The staff at the front entrance was nice too. We got chicken wings, fried rice, broccoli garlic sauce and the spicy chicken eggplant dish which was very good.“
“Good chinese food but the girl on the phone taking the order loves rice.everything she says is white rice or brown rice. I always thought chinese just comes with rice? No questions asked? plus they give way to much duck sauce and soy sauce.“
“Seriously the food here is pretty good and I'm a picky Chinese food eater. Singapore mei fun is my favorite! N that's a dish that I couldn't stand in the past but once I tried here I was mmmmm... n now I have to have it at least once monthly. This place is definitely worth a try.“
“i've tried many places around New Dorp area and i definitely can say New Everybody’s Kitchen _ its my Fav place when i want this type of food. Never had an upset stomach or smth like you can have eatimg from differents places. As soon i call i think the lady recognizes me) very nice lady. Thank you all for keeping me stay full lol“
“One of my mom's favorite Chinese restaurants. Kind service and great lunch specials. We even had her birthday party there. Rooms upstairs are very niceParking: Parking lot is in the back. Wheel chair accessible, even if going upstairs, use the elevator.Wheelchair accessibility: Main restaurant is on a ground level. Even if you are attending a party upstairs, there is an elevator.“
“I love the Chinese food here, even the few times I've had errors in the food. Or it wasn't great the restaurant was always understanding and took care of fixing it. Everyone has off days. I haven't had many here, I'd recommend to anyone.“
“I celebrated my nomination today in this great restaurant. happy to tell that we had a awesome evening and the place was surely one of the reasons for this happy event. The waiters helped in a gorgeous way, the cooking was great and my guests were very joyful. We shall surely come back again for more events. thanks very much.“
“So let me first start off by saying this is my number one go to Chinese restaurant on Staten Island. Me & my family has been enjoying the great food that comes from number one for the past 24 years. The customer service is great as well. This by far is our best spot when it comes to Chinese food. No other place can compare, clean environment & great quality of food. 1B“
“If u want budgeted Empire Szechuan type food this is ur best option on port richmond ave. Ordered the sesame chicken/boneless rib combo with pork fried rice (instead on the pork lo mein) and a order of pan fried pork dumplings. Dumplings were cheap but way better than I had on the ave. Boneless ribs actually had meat on them. Chicken was oversauced and sweet but ok. I remember a time when it was either No 1 or Didi. Now the question has been definitively answered.“
“Pro: Dirt cheap portion sizes for menu items that tastes decent to good depending on your cultural palate.Con: made for western palate which means like many Chinese restaurant although they don't have msg and stuff they make it up in sugar for some dishes.Edit: if you don't cook and have budget of 10 dollar a meal and not starve or end up as an involuntary vegetarian this is practically only choice in this zip code.“
“I always pickup or order from here only. They make food the way I ask and it's awesome. I've referred this place to people I know and they are happy with the food also. Try it!Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level plus parking spots“
“Chinese food to me usually tastes the same from place to place bit the food here seemed to have a touch more care in its preparation. Very good food. I got orange chicken and szeuwan beef. And roast pork lo mein. I will order here again. There are some tables but this is mainly take out n delivery. Parking availableI recommend this restaurant“
“My family and I have been ordering from Li's Happy Family for years. The food is always delicious and consistent in quality. I highly recommend Li's Happy Family for their good quality of their food, great attitude when ordering even remembering our names, and fast delivery.“
“I love the food !! Whether we get delivery or pick up the customer service is always amazing and they are always so sweet. The food is always excellent and tastes so delicious. They give great food portions and cook everything so well. I’ve never had a problem ordering from here and it will continue to be my go to Chinese food place for me and my family . 10/10 recommend.“
“2024.02 a very relaxing a la carte hot pot. Starting with coconut chicken soup. Then mala dish. Hot pot. Marinade beef is better than fatty beef. Don’t forget to order their coconut dessert. Really good. Their dragon fruit drink also good. Hot pot meat are fresh. Reasonable portions. The only point they lost is price.“
