“Went to the brand new Houston location and things are a bit rocky with staffing and supplies but I want to brag on your employee CAMILLA ! We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. U had no idea that my Morning started out so crappy, and your sweet personality and loving spirit really turned my day around and the tres leches latte was AMAZING 🙌🏼🩷💯 yall go see them and be patient …..it’s worth the wait ❤️ side note… the whole place is decorated beautifully! I was able to just drive up this week and saw they are indeed still open, so I am revising my review to account for their tasty eats. I finally got my birria empanadas, and I'm pleased. :)Initial Review:I placed an order online 2 weeks ago, but when I went to pick it up the place was completely closed. I called and called some more but no one ever picked up the phone. Now the phone is disconnected. I think it's safe to say I'm not getting those empanadas. :(The order online option is still totally active too which feels a bit scammy to me.“

“My one stop shop! Anytime I am in the area I make sure to always swing by for my juice or a snack. You have all the options you could desire while still keeping it nice and healthy. From the amazing avocado toast (never gets old my fav) , to a Cesar wrap and oh let’s not forget their Açaí Bowls!!!! I highly recommend to swing by, their menu is always growing and just gets better with time.“

“Great authentic Mexican restaurant. My favorite is the shrimp à la Mexicans with rice and refried beans. Shrimp are usually a nice size and seem to be fresh. Love that the sauce is freshly made. My family usually orders the chicken quesadilla, shrimp or pork burrito, tamales de carnitas just to list a few. This is truly a weekly go to spot for us.“

“This place is GREAT!!! Decided to attend their Valentine’s Day brunch with karaoke and it was not only a great time but the food was absolutely delicious !! The owner and staff were very sweet and made my friends and I feel very good with the attentiveness. The staff was also very enthusiastic and cheered us on as we sang! “Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Christian and staff were incredible from the very moment they arrived. I hired Chava's for a corporate event for 150+ people and boy did they deliver. They arrived early to set up, respected the parking spaces and cleaned up as if nobody was ever there. That was just the start, the literal meat and potatoes were incredible! There's something special about having Colombian empanadas made by someone who understands that not everyone can eat the same thing. Chava's provided gluten free, vegan AND vegetarian options, which made all of the employees extremely happy. It's rare to find a food truck that can cater to that many dietary restrictions and Chava's made it work. Employees were in love with the empanadas and the choices offered, so much so that some people even snuck back in line for 2nds (and 3rds). Great experience, and I would recommend Chava's to anyone that is interested, you will NOT be disappointed! Viva Medellin!“

“Wow! Was totally surprised as a first time visitor as it’s a pizza front and not a big place ! However my husband and I were part of a 14 person party tonight’s a mix diet of them individuals in attendance from vegan vegetarian and finicky and all American diet ! we had appetizers of mussels the sauce was medium and those that ate them raved about them the garlic knots were a perfect blend of butter and garlic the rice balls moist and cheesy and the calamari so tender it was excellent the small soups were a meal in its self! And the main dishes from vegan, italian, build your own, fish , meat and pasta entrees to empanadas each dish was a culinary delight so fresh tasty and the portions huge! Our group was extremely happy with their choices so much food for the price which was very reasonable! We made sure we met the chef and complimented him! Our waitress Rosa was friendly accommodating and always on top of our tables to ensure everyone’s needs were met and everyone was enjoying our dinner experience truly an asset to the business and her assistant Angel just as excellent! This place is truly a gem and perfect for the vegan and non vegan palate what a find tight in our own neighborhood my family will definitely be back! Kudos to the owners and the chef and their wonderful friendly staff! You will definitely be a regular at this place once you go! And by the way the take out was very busy too!“
