“The cashier and cook here was so busy over Memorial Day weekend. The phone was ringing off the hook while my daughter and I were in there waiting for our order. He got our order ready pretty quickly considering how overwhelmed they seemd to be with orders.“

“Lots of pizza places to choose from in Long Valley, but this is our go-to. Love their pizza! And staff so friendly. For the 3rd year in a row, they let the middle school play have their cast party there. The kids run around on the grass and pizza and drink soda. Pizza has long been consumed, but they let us stay and celebrate and eat cake long after they have closed. Very supportive of kids and the community. I'm happy to recommend them!“

“I'm in complete awe with how amazing La Cocina de Maria turned out to be. Hybrid of Hondorian & Mexican food. I ordered a Hondorian Tamal and the dough was steamed to perfection! Never had a Pupusa before, and after trying the Queso & Chicharrón I will definitely be trying the other Pupusa's they offer here. The Hondorian tortillas are hand made per order too & it shows the quality! The Mexican music played here is 10/10 love it all. The friendly staff really explains everything well, and with a smile! I'll definitely be back and bring some friends!“

“Carmine's is our go to place whenever we crave Italian or a cheesesteak. Husband and I were there yesterday for late lunch. Excellent pasta fagioli soup, huge slices of pizza, and overstuffed, cheesesteak. Great service and reasonable prices. We were informed there is an extra charge if you're not paying cash. This is becoming a common practice and we were informed of it. Server was excellent and made us feel welcome. I was asked if I knew of any pizza parlors served gluten free and of course I recommended Carmine's.“

“Searching around the area for pizza 2 places came up I decided to stop here . I was met by the owner on her own making pizza , garlic knots and a few more things . What a hard working woman. The pizza was amazing , the garlic knots amazing . My coworkers loved their meals . She chatted with us for a little bit , gave a little history , and how she takes pride in what she does and what comes out that kitchen and oven . Definitely recommend this place . “The food here is outstanding & delicious! You must try the Sicilian Grandma's Pizza. The crust was amazing as is how they make a Sicilian slice of pizza. It's the right balance of crust and fresh ingredients without it being overpowered with dough. The salad we had was delicious too. Everything so far we had here is just phenomenal as is the customer service, staff & owner. Definitely go and check it out!“

“Definitely a hidden gem. Came in on a whim because I saw good reviews and was on the hunt for a good slice to go. There were several pizza options in the display and ready to order which I love about a pizza spot. I ordered a Sicilian sausage/red pepper, pepperoni hot honey and a white slice. I would have stayed to eat at one of the few small tables but the baby was in the car. The pizza looked so amazing I ate some right in the parking lot it did not disappoint. The crust on the Sicilians was perfect and flavor was delicious. White pie was also simple and perfect. Can’t wait to try the cheese!

It was great to meet and interact directly with the owner, Paul. He explained how he bought the business from his parents and has been in his family for decades with roots in Brooklyn and Italy. He even threw in a free cheese slice because he knew I was a new customer! Nice guy and love to see the passion for a small family business. In my short time there, Monday afternoon, several people came in to order to sit and for takeout which said to me they have a good customer base which is a good sign.

Moving to Roxbury from Bergen County a few years ago we still haven’t quite settled on our favorite pizza spot yet. I’d say this is in the running for our favorites and we will be back!!

“So my husband and I went here for a dinner date night the other night. We have gotten take out pizza before but never dine-in. We were seated and our waitress, Isabella, was amazing. When we got bread for the table there was more than enough butter pats included in the basket, which seems like a small detail but it’s a pet peeve when u get half a baguette and not nearly enough butter and have to keep asking for more. We love calamari but I have not had it in years because I am allergic to shellfish (developed later in life) and restaurants always fry the calamari in the same oil as shellfish since it is seafood. My husband ordered it for himself but asked if they fried it in the same oil as shrimp. Isabella started that they did but they had no problem frying it in another fryer this time as they have 3. I actually broke down crying and thanked her profusely as no restaurant has ever offered to do that. I then got to have the most delicious and melt in your mouth calamari I have ever had in my life with no reaction. I ordered a Stromboli and extra dipping sauce. I was not expecting the HUGE bowl of sauce I got (pictured). All food was amazing. Isabella was amazing.“

“Really great slice. I started visiting Chester 25 years ago as a young kid. The thinner than average crust at Bella's stood out to me even then, but still feels true to NJ Style pizza which I strictly classify and golden brown and crispy crust/bottom which achieves those wonderful golden brown micro bubbles. I'm normally skeptical of pizza joints which use a mesh tray to cook, however this place is quite the exception. The mesh tray might be their secret to that really awesome bake on their crust.“
